    Spicy Veal soup
    Martine K.

Wonderful staff. As first timers we asked for recommendations. Lamb Chops were our first choice but were unavailable tonight. My second choice was the Beef Stew also not available. We started with a very Georgian wine which was drinkable but no one really enjoyed. My hubby got the Spicy Veal soup which was not too spicy but they brought over a small ramekin of red pepper chili flakes and he loved it. My friend got the Borscht soup which is served hot with a side of sour cream. He liked it but it could have had more flavor. We all enjoyed the cheese bread, Khachapuri. We also tried the dumplings, Pork and Veal Khinkali. They are beautiful to look at but again bland. For the entrees we got kebabs. One pork, one lamb, and one chicken. My chicken was the best chicken kebab I have ever had. Juicy, tender, and the sauce on the side was delicious. I would come back for this and the cheese bread!

This was a unique experience with a very different type of cuisine for us. I'd had this restaurant booked for some time, but was hesitant to try it although we are a bit adventurous. Tblisi is the main city of the country of Georgia. We knew it was located not far from Turkey in the Caucasus mountain area, but not much else about the region or its food. The Cafe is located in a strip of stores, but it wasn't easy to find as the outside top marquee did not have a sign on it. I had to call and ask what they were near. The day was cool and rainy and we were in the mood for soup. We found a couple choices in their menu. The menu had items that reminded us of Turkish/Greek food and some Russian dishes. We were the only diners when we stopped by for lunch. Inside the room is darkened. Lots of interesting paintings and objects line the walls. We started with a rolled eggplant appetizer. I thought it would be served hot, but it was cold. The thin slices of eggplant were wrapped around a filling with walnut paste. I'm not sure what else was in it, but we both liked it. My husband had their meaty borscht soup. It had beets, cabbage, and potatoes, too. It came with a side of sour cream. He said it was quite good. I had their spicy veal soup. It was only slightly peppery and filled with lots of shredded meat. If you want to experience a cuisine you don't find a lot in south Florida , then venture here for a cultural exploration.

On a cold rainy day, this place beckoned us to stop in and try one of their hearty Georgian soups. Located midway in this strip plaza, (directly across from the new Ahbitz location), this small restaurant is welcoming and cozy. Our pleasant Georgian server greeted and seated us with menus and gave us time to make our choices. We decided to share a rolled Eggplant appetizer. Served cold with cheese and minced walnuts inside, with just a kiss of garlic, this was delicious. I chose a bowl of Georgian Borscht which was filled generously with delicious red cabbage and tender chunks of beef, was deliciously warming! A small ramekin of sour cream accompanied the borscht and went well with my meal. A great lunch and wide variety of full sized dinner options offered, invites one back for more Georgian hospitality!

It was a dark and stormy night (which is very relevant to my experience)... the tinted windows made it look like it was closed, but the hours said that it was open, so I walked in. I was the only diner, which is surprising as I would find out how good the food was! I'd only had Georgian food once - an amazing kachapuri, and even though it's something I would order anywhere, I wanted to try something new. I settled on the chkmeruli - chicken in a garlic cream sauce and mixed meat khinkali. The chicken (on the bone) was moist, meaty, and perfectly tender in a very light sauce. Although I'm a huge fan of garlic, the garlic flavor was very light and worth spooning over every bite of chicken. It was a fairly large portion - I wasn't able to finish because the khinkali was on its way. I have never met a dumpling I didn't like. This was no exception. The wrapper was thick and bouncy, and contained delicious veal and pork mixture with a very flavorful liquid, almost like a soup dumpling. They were gigantic and I could only finish two. The server (owner?) was so nice and explained how nothing was frozen, and everything was made fresh. I believe it. The meal wasn't cheap and included a service charge on the bill. I think it was worth it, though. Making dishes from scratch and with high quality ingredients isn't cheap either. So... if you see a restaurant that looks closed but is supposed to be open, don't drive away - you never know what you might miss!

What an amazing place to spend a nice Mother's day evening! They had live music, super friendly staff and delicious wine/food. We had salad, eggplant roll, creamy garlic chicken and the cheesy item in the picture (hard to remember the name). That was the best part of our dinner. Having an egg yolk was such a great addition! Salad was delicious! We were not a big fan off the eggplant roll, it was pretty simple. The creamy garlic chicken was very unique, the sauce tasted like something I haven't tried before and I loved it! Tiramisu was great as well. We had Georgian wine and it was semi-sweet and super easy to drink. We will definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

Delicious food, borsch was amazing, every item that we got was excellent, this place was lacking cleanliness, also they didn't have some items on the menu. We ordered some spread and we didn't get any bread to spread it on and when asked the server - she said we should've order it separately, which I found odd. Overall - food quality overpowered the poor service that we experienced. But I'm taking some stars off for cleanliness and communication

Growing up on Georgian food in Central Asia, I was floored to see a top-rated Georgian restaurant in South Florida while on vacation. On a Friday in March, my eight-year-old daughter and I enjoyed the dining room to ourselves around 2:30pm for a late lunch. Staff are very friendly, but it did take a while to get their attention. (They were in the back preparing food.) Our server didn't know English very well, but we got by. The food was good! It's pricey, but portions are large and it's very filling. Dining with empty stomachs, we got the trio of vegetable dips, khachapuri, and the veal and beef dumplings. It was way too much food! We wish we went without the dumplings even though they were delicious. To drinks, I got a glass of the semi-sweet white Georgian wine and my daughter got the Georgian lemonade, which is more like pear soda. It was a great experience, but our lunch was over $100 for the two of us!

Our server was so friendly. You can tell they really love babies at this establishment.. The food was delicious and definitely hit the spot.

Gave this place another chance, but after a second visit, bringing sizable parties both times, we won't be returning. The food--particularly the Kachapuri-- is well-executed, but the poor service far outweighs it. - Waited 15 mins for menus (both visits) -Had to find and clean high chair ourselves after waiting 10-15 mins. - Attempting to order bottles of wine, the owner/server was clueless and would leave to supposedly investigate availability only never to return. THIS HAPPENED 3-4 TIMES IN A ROW! Felt like the Twilight Zone. - After finally getting the bottles, rinse and repeat the SAME ISSUE FOR WINE GLASSES 3 TIMES! - 90 mins into the meal we were only served some drinks and one appetizer - Add many other instances of inattentiveness and unresponsiveness, and seemingly preferential service to others We were the largest table in the restaurant by far. It is inexplicable how we could feel so overlooked. Additional issues: * Overwhelming live music (too loud, not reading the room), though some tables seemed okay with it * Uncomfortably hot; AC definitely not working - Our guests kept leaving the table to cool down outside * The bill was passive aggressively left on a far away table for us to retrieve rather than brought to us * 18% gratuity was automatically added, despite the owner/server knowing it was terrible service

The only negative thing I have to say was that the music was painstakingly loud that I could barely hear my mom and she was sitting right in front of me at the table. It was also super cold inside on a day in Florida where it was in the 30-40s range of temps outside. Overall, I would love to come back to try the coldbrew! We quickly decided what we wanted to order, and then patiently waited for our food. Much to our surprise they had singers in the restaurant! Forbes serenaded us a few times and then, Alana belted it out some Disney Tunes! Both of their voices were incredible and it was a nice treat. The food arrived, and it was scrumptious! The birthday girl had the key and said it was so delicious! My fiance had the waffle and ate every bite.
