Chicken pastilla is almost a pastry.

My first time here for lunch and I had the lamb tagine. It was good. Can't wait to get back to try something new.

Stopped in for lunch. I tried one of the juices. It was large and refreshing. We shared the Morrocan trio and chicken tagine for lunch. The trio is 3 modest servings of vegetable dishes. The chicken came with tasty bits of preserved lemon, olives, and a side of rice. Friendly service. They have one menu and no lunch specials.

This is a small place - less than 10 tables. The Moroccan decor is charming. It is a bit confusing as there are 3 businesses colocated - restaurant, juice/smoothie bar and a gift shop. We were seated quickly and offered drinks. We chose the mint tea, which was delicious. We tried a chicken postilla as an appetizer. It was larger than I expected and enough either for an entree or to share. Amazing flavors. For entrees, we tried Lamb Tajine and Kofta kebobs. Again the unique flavors were excellent. But, both were rather dry and served as is. Well the Kevin came with rice and there was some morracan bread... but no veggies in sight. You really need to understand the cuisine as there were no descriptions or pictures. No matter how full, do not miss the baklava!

5 stars all the way! Amazing hidden gem, The best multi tasking owner Idris was very warm and welcoming ! Vibe was great, World Cup games were on. Place was clean. I felt at home. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Lamb tajin was my favorite! I cannot wait to go back! Thank you!

Owner cooked the food and was very nice. The chicken dish was great and many large vegetables. Also a fish pastillo

Great service, super friendly owner, great authentic Moroccan food. Service a little bit slow and a bit expensive, but I also came close to close. Huge recommend if you want to try a new authentic cuisine.

Had a very nice lunch today at El Fassi Cuisine in Boynton, on Hagen Ranch Rd just north of Flavor Pict. (It's a veritable Restaurant Row over there, with Middle Eastern, Mexican, Chinese and now this delightful Moroccan eatery.) My friend and I split a chicken pastilla (stuffed pastry), lamb tajine and plate of homemade Moroccan bread. All were delicious, albeit lightly seasoned. Service was very friendly, and the cozy space was charmingly decorated. Great addition to the neighborhood! A return visit for dinner with the queen will happen asap.

Vegetable cuscús

Delicious new Moroccan spot! We started with the Moroccan salad served with bread and olives, fresh and full of flavor. My husband had the vegetable couscous and I had the chicken pastilla, which was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted freshly made and authentic. I also tried the homemade kombucha by the owner, which was such a nice touch. The space is cozy and they are very friendly and welcoming. Excuse the photos ,we started eating before I remembered to take them! We'll definitely be back to try more dishes. The Moroccan breakfast on the menu looks amazing.

very kind owner that gave us food on the house for our first visit! Very caring owner. He didn't even know it was my birthday and still gave us one of the best experiences i've had in a restaurant. The ambiance was nice and relaxing though it wasn't very busy since it has just opened. Owner is a handsome guy.

What a lovely new local restaurant tucked away in the shopping center. The owner, Dressi, and decor are so welcoming and warm. I popped in to get acquainted and couldn't resist sitting down for a bite. The mint tea was freshly prepared and brought in a silver teapot. The food is homemade and served beautifully, accompanied by bread and Moroccan olives. Delicious! It is a unique menu and I'm looking forward to trying out the breakfast offerings and smoothies. The ambiance is relaxing, and there are many unique gift and food items for sale, as well as varieties of kombucha and kefir. Let's support this new locale!

The space was clean with plenty of seating, and the staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They gave me time to browse the menu without any rush, and were ready to take my order the moment I decided. I went with the Falafel and Eggplant Pita Wrap, ordered exactly as it comes -- five crispy handmade falafels, roasted eggplant, hummus, tomato and cucumber salad, purple cabbage slaw, white onions, tomatoes, pickles, and lemon tahini sauce. What I loved about the presentation was how they sliced the pita and stuffed the toppings inside the pocket, then placed the eggplant and falafel on the outside before wrapping everything up tightly. It made for a much easier, cleaner eat -- no toppings tumbling out with every bite! My first bite was amazing. The fresh flavors really shined, the falafels were perfectly crispy, and the eggplant had that deep, savory roasted flavor. Every topping complemented the others beautifully, and I walked away completely satisfied. I am so happy I found this fast and healthy option close by! I also grabbed a baklava and a mango sparkling probiotic drink -- both delicious. Beyond the food, they have soft drinks, tea, and lemonade, plus a sauce bar with vinegar and oil if you want to customize your meal even further. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. I can't wait to come back and try their other menu options!

The first thing we noticed, which was a bit unexpected, was the decor. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. This is the type of restaurant where someone could host a party. The service was really good too. We received water almost immediately after being seated, and our server came by shortly after. The manager stopped by throughout our visit to provide recommendations, and he was really nice. It made the experience feel more personal. For our appetizer, we ordered the Baba Ghannouj, which complemented the pita bread really well. It was our first time having it, and we did not know what to expect, but it was great. It was really flavorful, and we finished it wanting more. For our entrees, we had the Lamb Chops and the Seafood Tagine. The lamb chops were great. It was not a huge portion, but the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The presentation was also really nice. The Seafood Tagine looked great, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Everything about the dish worked well together, and we felt that all the flavors complemented one another. There was a good harmony between the ingredients. For dessert, we ordered the Kunafa, which was another first for us. We had never had it before, but the description really sold us on it. It was really good. This is the kind of dessert that is best shared since it is a little heavy. Toward the end of our visit, a belly dancer came out to perform, and it was really exciting. La Vie is a great restaurant, and we will definitely return. We felt as though we got a true Mediterranean experience during our visit.

There was a manager walking around who was super attentive and would quickly rush over if he noticed we were looking around for a server. - crispy sweet harissa cauliflower: DELICIOUS, such a yummy sauce - roasted mediterranean eggplant: also absolutely delicious, I expected it to be a babaghanoush but it wasn't a dip - fish tagine: super healthy portion, fish was so tender, tons of olives, really really enjoyed it. the only feedback was that this wasn't served with bread like it traditionally is in Morocco, but I asked for some and they brought it at no extra cost - baklava: yum! I also had one of their Miami Spice margs which was a classic marg and very strong. One thing to note is that they do have hookah inside here although it doesn't smell at all. Strong plant-based options on the menu (we left feeling super full) 2. Strong non-alcoholic drink options (he's doing dry January as he prepares for an 100k ultra marathon) 3. Fun entertainment and sexy atmosphere as we weren't planning to go out after in Wynwood since he wasn't drinking, (the belly dancers, hookah and Moroccan tea were perfect way to cap off the night) ZURI checked off all of those boxes. As all of the other reviews mention, the restaurant has a super beautiful, design-forward interior that reminded us of our time in Marrakech. Every plate we had was excellent, and the service across the board was wonderful. As for entertainment, the dancers and hookah really was the perfect way for us to cap it off. I could see it being a cool restaurant to go to start off the night, but also be sexy and intimate for people like us looking for something beyond the typical "restaurant and drinks" experience. Highly recommend.

In summary: Best Happy Hour EVER!…read more Not only does La Cigale offer an extensive menu of happy hour entrees for $25, the restaurant also has a full range of 2-for-1 drinks. Happy hour runs daily in the bar from 5:00 to 6:30, except on Sundays when they are closed. Best bet is to get there early because the bar seats are limited and most of the diners seemed to be eating, drinking and enjoying themselves for the entire happy hour period. In addition to the traditional seats along the bar, the bar area has one long table for "communal" seating. We were initially reluctant to sit in the middle of this table, but it was perfect as we were able to learn about and see the great food selections from the "regular" happy hour visitors. (They were thoroughly enjoying the ahi tuna entree.) First things first though. The large margarita menu was tempting but we opted for wine from the even larger wine list. La Cigale allows customers to split the 2-for-1 offer rather than require one person to have two drinks. Nice! All cocktails are included in the offer, and one person in our group enjoyed a Ketel One vodka. La Cigale describes itself as a Mediterranean restaurant with selections from France, Morocco, Greece, and Italy. Their wide-ranging happy hour menu includes several pastas, seafood, chicken and meat entrees. Although this is an upscale restaurant, the happy hour options allow first-time visitors to try the various preparations on a smaller scale at a reasonable price. At the recommendation of our communal table neighbors, we split a crock of French onion soup. It was a $6 add-on to the happy hour menu. It was thick, full of onions, covered in delicious cheese, and epitomized how French onion soup should look and taste. In summary: the Best French Onion Soup EVER! One person in our group had the chicken marsala with mashed potatoes. Another had a large Caesar salad with chicken. And two of us had the chicken parmesan with a side of linguini pasta. The chicken was amazingly moist and tender. And the sauce was delicious. At the risk of being redundant: the Best Chicken Parmesan EVER! Unfortunately we were too full to enjoy anything from La Cigale's large list of tempting desserts. Maybe next time. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The noise level at the crowded communal table was a bit loud, but it did not detract from our overall excellent experience. We now understand why the other happy hour diners are "regulars" and repeatedly enjoy visiting La Cigale. We'll be back too.

We had a lovely conversation with a gentleman who was just finishing his lunch. He told us he comes here everyday. After describing his favorite meal choice, that's what we decided to order. We ordered first a medium pot of chai/tea. The owner, Assad (sp?), told us later when we asked that they add mint, dried mint, and sage to the pot. The tea was so aromatic and warming. We each had several glass cups -- with added sugar. To share, we had their mixed grill. There were 3 skewers -- one chicken, one beef, and one kofta kebab (ground meat). The meats were served over rice with a bit of salad on the side. Small containers of salad dressing and tehina were on the plate, too. I added some sumac (my favorite lemony spice) to everything. The food was very good and we left not a crumb. We were surprised to learn that the gentleman we'd previously chatted with paid for our dessert before he left! We got kunefah (kenefe/knaffe) -- my husband's favorite. It was nice and cheesy in the middle. And then as we were leaving, the owner gifted us a traditional special Ramadan "sweet" pastry. We were too full to try it there, so we brought it home for later. He said it has walnuts inside. We look forward to returning here for more middle eastern delights.
