    Regular Bowl
    Remi W.

Absolutely amazing experience! We mobile ordered our bowl through their online ordering which was very easy to use. We came in to pick it up and it was already ready for us. The employee was also incredibly kind. He gave us a free drink to try as well which was very nice of him. The inside was very clean. The bowl itself was beyond delicious. Everything was so fresh and tasty!!! Will deifntely come back and be recommending this to others!!

We came back and everything has been incredible. I started getting a bowl and it is so good I've eaten here like 3 or 4 times in the past week. Employees are super nice and I am practically addicted to this bowl I've been getting. Feels super healthy and the portion is extremely generous imo. Thanks for the great meals!

My Sister and tried this place for the first time for delivery and was super disappointed. I ordered a Pita Wrap and was incredibly small and was served with 4 chips...4?!compared to my Sisters Bowl which was large but flavorless. The fries arrived cold too. It's a shame since they just opened and there is no consistency. I won't be back.

Food here is incredible! I got the falafel pita with fries and extra tzatziki. Cost about $16 and it was delicious! I ordered online and they didn't start making it till I got there. That is okay because that means everything was fresh! Totally recommend to others.

You order at the counter and after you pay, take your lunch with you -- either take out or to one of their tables. The fast-food restaurant is spacious inside and very clean. The servers helping us were very nice and explained everything to us -- especially anything that might have had an upcharge, so we were fully aware in advance before making our selections. And we were checked on while eating to make sure everything was okay with our food. We both chose a regular size bowl for our option. This is a misnomer as even the regular is not small by any means. We wound up eating a portion there and still had leftovers for dinner. You choose 2 bases to start. I picked the tumeric rice and the baked chickpeas. Both were served hot and I really liked both of these, especially the chickpeas. For my protein, I upgraded to the lamb for an additional $2.50. The lamb was pulled/shredded so I probably would not choose this in the future. I chose the grilled red bell peppers for my veggie which I liked; and some classic hummus for my spread. I got the hummus on the side. The hummus was good but quite thick and needed a touch of salt. Then there were the unlimited toppings. I got their mixed tomato and cucumber salad, the kalamata olives, and red cabbage. I'd probably leave off the olives next time. I got their cilantro dressing. I didn't use the dressing at all as it wasn't needed. I sort of felt like I was eating healthy. Most everything except the salad and cabbage was hot. And I liked my selections, overall. I'm not a big fan of bowls where all the items are mixed together, so I was pleasantly surprised. I'm glad we came to try them. Now we know.

Being fans of Mediterranean cuisine, we stopped in for lunch. A bright and open interior with plenty of seating available. There is a large menu board displaying their wares and how to construct your meal. I chose a Regular Bowl (which weighed in at 3+ lbs. at least), which consists of 2 bases, 1 protein, 1 veggie, 1 spread, toppings of your choice and dressing. My components were the Turmeric rice and lentil peas, Medi-Chicken, Baba Ghanoush, Feta cheese, kalamata olives, red cabbage, and pickled onions, finished off with Greek vinaigrette over the top. My beverage of choice, (they also had Watermelon, Strawberry juices), was the Turmeric Mango Juice which was very good and had a mellow personality. I was able to eat just over a third of my regular sized bowl and had to ask for a lid to take the rest home to enjoy for dinner. Service is good and friendly, with staff willing to answer questions and not rush you through the ordering process.

Love the decore, very cute. I thought they had a wide menu for what it is, lots of choice. My boyfriend and I got Pitas. The big issue we had was the vegetables were sliced up pretty thick. I personally did not like the spicy chicken as it was a bit dry, regular chicken is good. The falafel though was very oily. Wouldn't recommend. We both finished all the pita. The guac was pretty good surprisingly! I will be back

Food was delicious and literally fresh and portions sizes filled up the regular bowl I ordered. Jerry was our server, great personality and awesome customer service. The cashier had good attitude and also super friendly. Overall, great place to eat, food worth the price and place was clean and nice. Highly recommend it.

Hair in food and refused to refund me? What I called and spoke to the manager. He was nice but refused to refund the order, even though there was hair in the food offered to remake it, but why would I want food were made when you're clearly not practicing the correct health standards.

I randomly came across this restaurant & decided to try it & WOW! Blown away!!!! From the moment we walked in I felt so welcomed , all of our questions were answered with ease. I did the spicy chicken bowl & it was such a huge portion & every bite was filled with flavor! The drink options were vast & different from any other fast food greek restaurant. If you've never been to Orion go try it today !!

It was founded by owner Christos "Chris" Charoudis, the restaurant's menu is largely inspired by traditional family recipes. This is the original restaurant, at the corner of Lantana Rd. & Jog, a second is on Congress, They have expanded & during covid outdoor dining in the parking lot was created. There is a free parking in front along with a steady stream of pick up traffic. The menu offers extensive Greek dishes with servers being very quick & efficient. Portions at Chris' Taverna are enormous. One plate is enough for more than enough for 2 of us to share. The restaurant is casual, reservations are not accepted, it's first come & first serve. Tonight six of us met here for dinner. We arrived before 6:00 and waited only a few minutes for a table. When we left there was a line outside. When we were seated we were given water & a garlic spread with warm fresh pita. We all shared babaganosh & generous delicious dips. My husband & I shared a gyro salad with lots of grilled lamb, more than enough for us both. Others enjoyed greek chicken salad, shrimp with pasta, and spanakopita. Everyone brought leftovers home, enough for a few meals. Happily we weren't rushed.

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying without feeling too heavy. First of all, the portions were HUGE. There was so much food. It was perfect to order a couple dishes to share between us. But the real star of the show was the tzatziki. Phenomenal. I genuinely wanted to eat it with a spoon. Creamy, garlicky, perfectly balanced 10/10. The salad was just what I wanted after sitting in the sun all morning. Crisp, refreshing , and not an afterthought like it can be at some places. Every bite felt fresh and well-seasoned. To be honest, I did use the tzatziki and salad dressing instead of the provided salad dressing. And the gyro wrap with garlic fries? Easily one of the best gyros I've had in a while. The meat was flavorful and tender, the wrap was perfectly put together, and those garlic fries were the ideal salty, crispy side. This spot is definitely getting added to the pool day lunch rotation.

This was my first visit and my first time trying them, and I was impressed by how many options they offer. The customization is extensive without feeling overwhelming, and everything looked fresh and well maintained. I went with the falafel bowl, built over rice and lettuce, and one standout detail was that they offered three different rice options. I chose the lentil rice, which had excellent flavor and added a nice depth to the bowl. All of the toppings, condiments, and add-ons tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The falafel itself was satisfying, and the overall meal felt balanced--filling without being heavy. It gave that ideal healthy, energized feeling rather than leaving me sluggish afterward. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was very clean, which always matters in a fast-casual setting, and the service stood out. The staff was welcoming, and the manager came by our table several times to check in and make sure everything was going well, which added a personal touch that you don't always get in this style of restaurant. Overall, a very solid first experience. Fresh food, strong service, clean environment, and plenty of options. There are several different types of proteins, and as a pesco-vegetarian, I was pleased to see tofu as an option. There's falafel too! (The tofu was well seasoned and not bland little cubes of food.) You can do a bed of greens, pita, hummus, or rice as your base. I went with the rice which was deliciously seasoned, though (spoiler alert!) next time I might go with hummus. There are many fresh herbs options for toppings, including spices and sauces. All the vegetables were crispy, and the portions were generous. The price point is fair and what you would expect to see at similar restaurants. I wish Olive U were closer to my home, because it's a great fresh option if you're looking for a quick take-home meal as well. I did see that they offer family-style dinners where you get a large portion and everybody eats the same thing. I think that is a great idea and not something I've seen at the other bowl - style restaurants. As I've already spoiled above (hee her , I definitely plan a return visit one day. I usually ate here at least twice a month or more for six years. And brought guests constantly . The food was always well prepared and at a reasonable price. The owner was always very friendly. BUT I will never again go back to Sofra after my experience last night. Last night I went with a couple of people that I had raved about this restaurant to. The owner, who certainly must've recognized me from the countless times I've eaten there in five years, barely grunted at me and the vibes I got from him were not very welcoming. He seemed really angry about something and was taking it out on his customers. There was only one other table that had customers and this was a Friday night. I found that really odd because other restaurants surrounding Sofra had lots of people sitting outside eating at their restaurants I ordered a falafel plate and others at our table ordered the İskender and another entrée. I practically passed out when I got the bill because I guess I didn't check the prices when I was ordering. The falafel plate, which was basically a spoonful of salad, a spoonful of rice, a few hard burned falafel, soup and a dribbling of tahini was $33. This is obscene. When this restaurant first opened they were charging for the same plate $15 and then they went to $25 after a few years which I thought was pretty high for the food we were getting but $33 is just plain greedy. I won't even do a review on the other two entrées because my party could barely eat them. I now see why there was nobody, literally nobody in this restaurant on a Friday night. And the owner, what happened to him? he used to be such a friendly guy and now he is just an angry man. The waitress never went back to check on us and refill our water after taking our order. Despite only two tables with customers in this restaurant. I read some of the reviews where owner says he hates the fucking country so why doesn't he just leave? There's plenty of really good Mediterranean restaurants that are not going to charge this kind of money for Mediterranean food. Even if the felafel was the best falafel I've ever eaten in my entire life - $33 is crazy. And it was not very good felafel - in fact all the food is mediocre. Where it once was amazing. So my suggestion to the owner is to lower his prices, improve the quality of his food and improve his attitude

The salads had tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, onions, pepperoncinis, and romaine lettuce topped with feta cheese and dressing. There was also a small rice stuffed grape leaf -- cut in half. The salad could have been a meal in itself. The moussaka was layered egg plant and potatoes with a ground beef filling topped with cinnamon béchamel sauce. The pasticchio is the Greek version of lasagna but with elbow macaroni. Both portions were quite filling. I ate my dish and he brought half of his home. He was saving room for dessert. For dessert, he had galaktoboureko which is a custard filled pastry topped with simple syrup. He said it was good, but it would have been better if warmed. Or at least if the syrup was warm. We had very good service. If you like Greek food and are in the area, this is a good place to try. Large portions at reasonable prices.
