It was my first time trying an Israeli restaurant. There are definitely similarities between middle eastern, Greek, Turkish and Israeli cuisine. The ingredients are very similar to each other. My date and I had the Branzino, a fish salad and the hummus. I also had a glass of Israeli Cabernet. The server was very patient in explaining the menu to us, and the food came out fresh and perfectly cooked. The serving sizes were very generous as well. We had a wonderful server super knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu, and his recommendations were spot-on. We planned to share several dishes, and it ended up being a great variety for a very reasonable price. The chicken schnitzel was delicious, and it came with mashed potatoes, which was unexpected but really enjoyable. The green beans were overly salty, so if you order them I'd recommend asking for no salt. The bread and hummus were to die for, you could really taste how fresh everything was. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the sauce wasn't truly spicy, just had a nice kick. Even though I'm not usually a squash fan, the grilled pieces were surprisingly good. The mushroom pasta was light and flavorful--we liked it so much we ordered a second one. The manager was also very accommodating for our party of seven and genuinely kind. By far the nicest and most beautiful kosher restaurant we've visited in the United States! We're from New York and now live in Aventura, and we made the trip to Malka after hearing so many great things. Even though we arrived late, the atmosphere was incredible. The hostess gave us a warm welcome, the entire staff was friendly and attentive, and we truly felt like royalty throughout our visit. Nadav took the time to explain how many of the ingredients and design elements were brought in from Israel, which made the experience even more special. You can tell that every detail was thoughtfully planned. We dined with our children, and while the food is priced on the higher side, that's expected for a quality kosher restaurant in South Florida. What impressed us most was that, compared to many kosher restaurants in Miami, Malka's menu is actually very fairly priced for the quality, portions, and overall experience. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and the portion sizes were just right. Every dish was fresh and full of flavor. The décor is simply phenomenal--modern, elegant, and unlike anything else in the area. This is more than just a meal; it's an experience. If you are looking for kosher food in Palm Beach this is a nice place with small plates. The waiter Nadav, suggested we order as all portions are large... I think he was confused between large and small! The schnitzel was the largest item only shareable for two not 4. The menu is beyond confusing and very unclear. On what is a meal and what is a side dish. The fish Shwarma was small but tasty, Don't get me wrong the food was delicious but the portions are Not shareable. The Delicate minced ribeye wrapped in sourdough was nice sized and tasty. The squash steaks were nice sized. The food came and went in seconds as again they were not shareable sizes. The Mushroom pasta was a little oily but was smaller than any portion I have ever had at any restaurant. If you have to eat kosher then enjoy and it will be a pricy meal. This place is so cool! Miami vibe on the outskirts of downtown west Palm. It's a huge space but broken up into indoor/outdoor rooms to make it feel more intimate. Definitely make a reservation and then arrive early to have a drink in the garden bar. The food will not disappoint you either (unless you have eat everything smothered in butter or cheese because the establishment is dairy free in keeping with Kosher laws). We had a vegan in our group so we got all the vegan offerings but they do have meat. I'm looking forward to returning and trying some of those offerings. Focciacia bread was phenomenal ... huge pieces topped with roasted tomato and onions. It was airy, and doughy at the sam time. Hummus was great, the mixed green salad was probably the freshest salad I've ever had in a restaurant. Beet carpaccio also a winner. Also you have to try the potato carpet it is unlike anything you have ever had before. Super thin layer of sliced potatoes topped with beet and seasoning and you roll it up on your fork! read more

This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. They really did an amazing job with the atmosphere. Truly feels like a modern chefs restaurant. The food is really good however for over $100 a person I don't think it's worth it. The food is very delicious and fresh however it was a bit of a red flag to me how everyone recommends their bread over everything. Furthermore, when they ask you if you want still or sparkling water and you say still they will automatically charge you $10 for a bottle of aqua panna. They really should tell you they're charging you that for water. In addition, for over $100 a person im expecting that oh my god this is insane types of food tastings and it just didn't have that. Don't get me wrong the food is amazing but for $100+ a person it's a bit of a ripoff. In my opinion, I'd rather go to Motek. 10/10 for this experience made possible by the amazing kitchen staff who entertained us (and let us try many dishes that I didn't order) as we sat at the counter; they weren't lying when they said we had the best seats in the house! I've never been to a kosher restaurant so I didn't know what to expect, but it certainly wasn't this stunning , minimalist and modern interior that was warm and inviting and more spacious than it looked on the outside. I enjoyed my glass of white wine, and loved that there were fresh tomatoes just sitting in front of me at the bar while I watched the kitchen staff in various stages of prep. They were funny and friendly and I was so full by the end of the meal that I had to take several boxes home. The menu is unlike any menu I have ever seen- if you're not familiar with Israeli cuisine, then some of the descriptions won't help you. It is written very tongue in cheek , sometimes overly graphic, but I got a kick out of perusing the items anyway. Prices are $$$ so don't be surprised by the bill at the end of the night. Standouts from my meal were the falafel and the schnitzel. I was convinced it would be delicious when I kept seeing several orders leaving the kitchen. Although we didn't order it for appetizer, the focaccia bread also looked and smelled amazing. Regretfully didn't have room for dessert (not after all those to-go boxes), so I will gladly return. read more

Finally made it to Malka -- and booking ahead of the season is so worth it! Tried a variety of appetizers: the hummus, falafel, okra, eggplant, roasted potato "carpet," and the schnitzel stuffed with mashed potato -- all absolutely delicious. The Branzino was a standout as well. Huge compliments to the kitchen staff -- they were incredible. And I had the best seat in the house. So, I've been told that this is a tough reservation to get... probably because they are not open Friday or Saturday nights. I know, it's hard to believe a For Profit business would actually close on the busiest nights of the week. But if Chick-Fila can do it.... It's located in a new / unusual area of downtown WPB which made it a little tricky to find, but very easy to park as they have a valet. Thought we had made a reservation for indoor seating as it was still 90* outside, but to my surprise they seated us on the beautiful patio which had shade and fans to keep us relatively cool. As the 4 of us perused the menu, which is Pricey, we ordered 2 glasses of wine and a bottle of Pellegrino ($10). Kind of confused on how to order, we started with a flatbread of sorts ($20) which was good but only had onion and herbs on it... got 2 different salads (one was miniscule) & then we ordered a few other dishes like Sashimi, Chicken Schnitzel which was tasty & reminded me more of a Meat & 3 entree as it was stuffed with whipped Potatoes, a Basic Whole Fish Branzino (beautiful to look at but bland) and some kind of Meatballs. (Definitely Not Swedish!) Overall, it all looked nice, tasted fine, but not anything was a Wow... only the prices charged were. I guess because it was Kosher, that may have added to the higher costs of entrees. Pretty sure I will not be returning for dinner, but might have drinks on their great patio if I'm in the area. Dropped $171 inc. 20% Tip for 2. Guess that's what dining in WPB is these days...just expected more. read more

This Kosher restaurant is outstanding. The food caters to a more sophisticated palate. Everything we ordered from the salads, vegetables, fish and steak was perfect. We let our waitress advise us on quantities and how much we should order. She was right on the mark except we had a teenager with us so no one could guess how much he could eat! We had to order an extra cow. The service was terrific and knowledgeable. The food comes out when it is ready so there is a continuous flow of dishes. It was fun. The ambiance is beautiful, we ate outside and it was lovely. You don't have to be Kosher to try this restaurant. read more

Really pretty restaurant, great service. Food is very unusual. But all so fresh and delicious! We started with the hummus. Wow, this is what hummus should taste like. Smooth, creamy, oily, lots of chickpeas, not gritty, so good. I wish they served it with bread, but it was delicious on its own anyway. Then we had the bread with spinach and potato. Sort of like a weird calzone. But excellent. Also had the mushroom pasta. Absolutely fantastic. Then we had the schnitzel, which was stuffed with mashed potato. Very good. We had 2 desserts...malabi and baklava...both great. Had 1 cocktail. Bill was $100 pp . Food was excellent, but I still feel like that's a little high. Horrible service, very slow. The server did not have answers to few questions that we had regarding the menu. We were party of 7 and all of us felt neglected waiting 20 minutes for cold drink. We were seating outside when it was a 92 degrees in Florida. They do not let us seats indoor, it is use for dinners only. The Shakshuka served without pita bread. I had to go inside to the kitchen to ask for more pita. The manager was surprised and went out with me to check if it is true. The food is not amazing and over priced. 2/2/25 Malka in WPB is the hottest new restaurant. It takes months to get a reservation. We came here as a small group for a birthday celebration. Our server, Alejandro, was excellent. Most of the food is brought out family style as it is ready so we shared: caramelized onion flatbread, charred beetroot carpaccio covered in horseradish snow, Nostalgia of old city mezze, a very Israeli Hummus, roasted potato carpet, pile of green beans, The most famous Malka Schnitzel, classic ribeye steak, spicy instruments, roasted potato carpet, eggplant lines, apple crumble, and assortment of wine, cocktails, and Diet Coke in glass bottles (the lemon wedge took a few requests). All the food was nicely presented, prepared fresh, and very appetizing. My favorites were the caramelized onion flatbread, charred beetroot carpaccio, Israeli hummus, classic ribeye steak, and green beans. Because the food is shared we got to try everything and the check was fair for what we ordered. This place was super authentic and very delicious. Right as you walk in you get a smoky smell of charcoal and spices. You begin to think oh wow this smells so good. The outdoor patio is super pleasant with all the greenery design. Walking into the restaurant with all the presence of materials and architecture was super nice. Seeing the open grilles and watching the smoke behind the chefs was pretty cool. Also just the fact you can see how the chef's prepare the food. The workers were super nice and helpful. Such a special experience here- Firstly, the restaurant is so pretty. There are several Bar/Counter areas for Diners. We sat at the Counter facing the open kitchen (hence the photos). There seems to be so much staff to look after you I said it seemed like there was 1 staff member to each Diner and the staff could not have been more pleasant - the chefs behind the line included. We started off our meal with Golden Focaccia and Tahini which was some of the best Tahini I've ever tasted. Then we had what is called, "A very Israeli Hummus" - so creamy and flavorful with chickpeas in the middle (I'd ask for fewer or no chickpeas next time)- but it was some of the best Hummus I've ever tried- no after taste and perfect texture. We soon had what is called, "The Most Famous Malka Chicken Schnitzel- filled with Mashed Potato Marrow- this has to be a crowd pleaser as most Diners seem to have also order this- with good reason it was excellent- it was crispy, moist and perfectly cooked - I'd have salted both the chicken and the mashed potato but didn't want to wait for it so ate without it the added salt. The Branzino soon followed- my friend wanted it grilled, I wanted it Roasted- it is so fresh and light but next time I will have it Roasted vs Grilled and laying on a top of tomato blood. We wrapped up the meal with Mint Tea, Baklava and an Espresso Martini served with Tahini which was perfectly satisfying. Next time I will try the Mushroom Swirled with Farro Risotto and the Old City Mezzo that has Falafel. Thank you Malka for a great meal and the entertainment from the open kitchen! read more

The fixed menu was expensive for what you got and the food passable but nothing to write home about. I'm glad I tried it but I will continue to look for the wow factor else where. Portions were very small, the menu was unnecessarily confusing and full of fluff, and the waitress was rude and uninterested in answering questions. Was super excited to go to Malka. Unfortunately, it fell well short of my expectations. Ambiance is beautiful and drinks were well made; however, we're there for the food. Hummus: simplistic, yet good consistency. Lacked flavor but the green chiles from the eggplant dish I added helped to enhance the flavor profile. You have to order bread or you'll be eating it alone on a spoon. Bread - good, but the tahini they served it with was tasteless, so luckily we had the hummus. Israeli salad - refreshing, small portion, but can deal with that considering some other items weren't as flavorful and this salad at least was well prepared as is. Eggplant - one of the better dishes. Lamb chops - an absolute JOKE. Two small lamb chops, 2 ounces, and one of them was mostly fat. I honestly don't know how they can justify serving that for $46. I got two bites out of my chop, such a disappointment. Branzino - we got the one w the flame and this was the best thing for the night. This dish had the most flavor, and thought it was a nice piece of fish. All in all, there is really nothing I will crave to go back for. My friends visited the night before and pretty much gave the exact same review. For two people we spent $250 and left with room for more food and disappointed. Beautiful restaurant, but if you're going for the food I would not have high expectations. read more

So lets be honest. Go for the ambiance and service. Both were really Divine. Just DO NOT eat. We had a large variety of their offerings. Sadly one was more disappointing than the next. The famed signature stuffed schnitzel was like eating a roof tile, thick tar paper cover in gravel. The Bronzino was way over cooked, removing any fish substrate . the hummus was served in an unadorned bowel covered in (?canned) chick peas, not a dipping carrot stick in sight. Finally and the worst for sure were the desserts. Apple crumble was mush spooned into a Petrie dish and the baklava was a mass of gooey chewy served in the same manner. What a resounding disappointment. If you want a good meal, eat a your Bubbie's. one star awarded for decor and one for service. read more

Not sure how to review. First visit spectacular. Second very troubling. Had the chicken schnitzel both times. 1st. Thick. Huge. Juicy. Absolutely delicious. 2nd. Smaller Horribly dry. Tasted like tire rubber. Wow. 1st. Great service. 2nd. My Son and I were finished our dinner and plates were cleared and looking at dessert when my wife's meal finally arrived. Also. Very odd Ordered a white wine. By the glass. A red arrived. I noted to the waitress. I believe this grape is white. She assured me I was incorrect. 1/2 hour later a Manager arrived and apologized for them pouring the wrong wine. So. Growing pains? Not sure. But we have little interest in returning. BTW.
