Chicken 'N' Waffles

Amazing food and great service! The chicken and waffles were huge and watermelon sweet tea was delish! Ariel was a sweetheart.

I hadn't been here in years...I went here for happy hour. It was a fun to go with a group - ordered a vodka club soda and a salad ...we sat outside and listened to music. It was fun. They had a country music pro and he was a lot of fun to listen to! Plenty of parking available ...so that's super! It's in the Delray Marketplace!

Came to Batch for the 90s brunch. We decided to sit at the bar, and vibe out close to the dj. The staff was great, dancing and singing along with the patrons, making it a fun experience. The food itself was fantastic. If you are a fan of biscuits and gravy this was the place. The salmon Benedict was fantastic as well after our server suggested it. This is one of my new favorite places in Delray offering the option of indoor or outdoor seating and the drinks are delicious. Can't wait to see the other themed events.

"Service was kind, the pacing fine, But waiting on the check made me lose my dang mind?! Pretty good food, slick branding, bar was aglow, Vibe felt artificial--where's the Southern soul?" I must say this place was underwhelming in many ways. But nothing really went wrong. So four stars. It's only fair. But I must lay out my position for probably never visiting again. Service was solid from start to finish for the most part. Our server was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable butI tell you what, there is something in today's service industry where the server waits forever even after dessert and asking if you need anything else---they take FOREVER to bring the check. I'm like damn, just sit it there and we'll pay when we're ready. Ugh...but I digress.... What fell short was the setting itself, which didn't reflect the Southern batch kitchen identity the restaurant presents to offer. Rather than feeling rooted in a comfort-driven, food-forward concept, the space leans heavily into a bar/nightlife vibe. The food itself is good, but the overall experience felt overly packaged. The branding and presentation around "Southern batch cooking" came across as more manufactured than authentic, and the concept didn't fully land for me. I kept thinking: I don't believe you, Southern Batch Kitchen. I stayed with the safer, more straightforward menu items and didn't branch out much. I would like to try other dishes, but the pricing made experimentation feel like a risk. For the cost, I expected a stronger sense of confidence and cohesion in both flavor and concept. Pictured below: Fried Green Tomatoes, Deviled Eggs, Bread Pudding w/Apples. I may (eh...) give it another chance, but as it stands, the experience felt more curated than soulful. Another review giving it to you straight, no chaser by Elizabeth S. aka Lizz aka The Hungry Poet. Enjoy!

First time here and was impressed with the place. I like the way they use the space... a really nice bar, tables inside and a few different outside spaces. Wanted to have a couple of drinks before seeing the Rolling Stones movie at the IMAX next door, so it was a perfect spot. It was Happy Hour at the bar, until 7pm, so ordered a few food items from the HH menu. Smoked BBQ Egg Rolls w/Slow Roasted Pulled Pork and Short Rib... Pulled Pork Sliders, Brisket Sliders, and an order of Sweet Wings. They were all ok, but next time I'm here, I'll order off the regular menu. Danya, behind the bar,, was great... attentive and personable, as was other staff who came out from the kitchen with the food.

Grilled peaches and burrata on toast.

Everything I've tried on the menu here has been pretty amazing. Including the shrimp and grits, and a Cajun chicken pasta dish, I've had twice it was so good and also a huge portion. (Twice now, I've had significant leftovers and I've accidentally left it on the bar lol! I suppose that speaks for the strength of the drinks!! (Blackberry bourbon lemonade is what I recommend...) Friendly service and a great location / open bar great for people-watching outside /overlooking the "hooky" movie theater . Today I tried the grilled peaches and burrata on toast and it prompted me to write on Yelp about it. (See illustration for the rest of my review!! )

I have eaten here for four years. Easy location, good choice of meal selections and excellent wait staff. Sadly the kitchen has gone down. How is it that a large meal warrants a quarter size ketchup and no good tomatoes on a basic hamburger? This place should be packed on location alone. If they improved the overall quality it would be worth a second try.

We sat at the outside bar for March Madness Happy Hour. Sebastian was an excellent bartender & very friendly. Delicious sliders & my husband enjoyed Mahi Sandwich off of regular menu. Definitely try Sebastian's' Old Fashioned There was live music on the patio, too, which was a nice addition.

We love the hospitality at Batch. The wait staff is friendly and the food was yummy. We started with the burnt ends as an appetizer. They were crunchy and flavorful. For my main I ordered the Bourbon Maple Salmon with the broccolini. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Before our meals came out the manager came over and said they're recooking my salmon as it was not up to their standards. I didn't even ask. I thought that was great and didn't even notice with the timing. My husband ordered the mac attack with fried chicken and enjoyed it. For drinks I ordered the campfire espresso martini and my husband got a beer. My martini was pretty and the torched marshmallow was a nice touch, but i don't think espresso martinis are for me as this was my second one ever and it's just bitter to me. We also ordered a slice of the Bourbon Pecan Chocolate Tart. It was to die for! So yummy!

What a fantastic spot! I was so impressed with Batch Scratch Kitchen -- it's the perfect place for everything from happy hour to corporate events, or just a great night out with family. We loved the outdoor seating, and there was even live entertainment and a whiskey tasting going on while we were there -- such a fun bonus! The menu is full of fresh, made-to-order options, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. I had the salmon kale salad (so fresh and flavorful) and the deviled eggs, which were perfectly done. My mom went for the fried green tomatoes with creamy grits and the Cobb salad with salmon-- and we were both satisfied. The tomatoes were crispy and flavorful, and those grits were next-level creamy. My daughter had the chicken tenders with fries, and they were clearly made fresh. Portions are generous -- we ended up taking leftovers home because we just couldn't finish it all. Between the great service, vibrant atmosphere, and delicious food, I'm already planning our next visit. Highly recommend! Batch Scratch Kitchen is a must-visit in West Delray.

Located in the Delray Marketplace mall, this is a fantastic restaurant for a great meal or to just hangout at the bar to watch a game. The staff is very friendly and the entire restaurant has a fun beachfront vibe.

I woke up this morning, got ready and decided to venture out to the Delray Beach area to have brunch at Batch New Southern Kitchen & Tap. I never been to this restaurant before, I actually learned about it from fellow Yelper, Kimberly P. reviewing the Fort Lauderdale location and her food pics was what made me decide to check them out. Located in the Delray Marketplace, there is plenty of parking. Upon entering I was greeted by the hostess who informed me that there is a wait on table seating, but there are available seating at the bar and outside patio. As I sat at the bar, I immediately noticed the casual vibe where everyone was just enjoying their food, drinks, and conversation. The wooden eclectic wall decor gave you such a warm cozy feeling. The tables were indeed packed with families....given that it was Mother's Day...some tables were decorated with balloons and/or flowers. One of the bartenders, Brandon, greeted me and asked if I would liked something to drink. Being my first time at the restaurant, I asked him what he would recommend....he suggested the bottomless sangria. He described both the cherry-apple red & ginger-peach white sangria in terms of their taste. I chose the cherry-apple red sangria with the caramelized apple "French toast". The sangria was lightly sweet and refreshing. The presentation of the caramelized apple "French toast" looked intriguing. It didn't have the look or texture of an ordinary french toast, but as I poured the bourbon-infused syrup over it and took a few bites, my tastes buds was dancing. Now I get why the words French toast is in quotation marks....it tasted more like bread pudding, but it was so delectable that I didn't care about the "camouflage". The caramelized apples with added strawberries and blueberries made it feel like a fulfilling dessert. I was definitely full after my second glass of sangria. I would like to come back to experience another yummy dish and cocktail at Batch New Southern Kitchen & Tap.

I ordered the teriyaki bowl with chicken and it had no teriyaki flavor or sauce anywhere. The chicken was probably slightly marinated but I wish it tasted more like teriyaki. The strawberry lemonade was 80% water, stick with the hangover cure. The hangover cure was very refreshing. The servers split the tips so they were all pretty helpful and attentive. Probably a good spot for cocktails but I went with my grandma so virgin drinks were the way to go. All in all I'd be back for a cocktail and the fries. The food is also pretty pricey. $11 French fries, $9 for a non-alcoholic beverage. Also when I went, the menu was limited. They weren't serving any of the 'Shareables'. I went at 3pm on a Sunday so you'd think this is prime time to have a full menu available. Service 9/10 Food 6/10 Location & ambiance 8/10 Would I go back? Yes. The first time I went in 2022, I remember it being more of a traditional steakhouse. The Ave has grown significantly around it over the years, but it's still one of the staple restaurants in a central location. Overall, it was great meal with good service and nice atmosphere. It's sill one of the gems. We started with the wedge salad and cheesy bread. We wanted to get the Filet Mignon and the Prime Cut Ribeye to share them, but they were out of the Filet which was a bit surprising. Instead, we got the Crispy Chicken Piccata. They were both excellent. The fingerlings and asparagus were good and loved the red wine sauce. The crispy chicken was not too heavy, with lemon and an ample arugula salad. I don't remember the name of desert, but it was a combo of a browny with an Oreo cookie layer (which the kid in me couldn't refuse) with a scoop vanilla ice cream. It was great.

Service was very good throughout the night, our waitress did a fantastic job explaining all of the specials, promptly bringing out food and drinks and making sure that we had everything we needed. As for the food, my wife and I split four appetizers and a side; The Truffle Shuffle linguini, which came with grated fresh black winter truffles, chopped black truffles and white truffle oil. The burrata with a watermelon gazpacho, saffron aioli, pesto aioli and basil oil. The waygu steak carpaccio with fried capers, celery leaf, onion, scallion, sunny side egg, toasted bread crumbs and truffle aioli. The salmon tartare tacos which came in a crispy wonton shell with shallots, kimchi & wasabi aioli's and a soy glaze. Onion rings with a special sauce on the side. Overall the food was pretty good. The Waygu carpaccio in particular was my favorite, the meat was incredibly tender and beautifully sliced. The salmon tacos were good, I wish there was a little bit more to the portion size, but no complaints. I was not a fan of the burrata which seemed a little standard and the accompanying aiolis didn't do much for me. Finally, the Truffle Shuffle was disappointing. It had grated truffles, chopped truffles and truffle oil, so I was expecting an orgy of truffle flavor but it was pretty minimal to be honest. As for the onion rings they were super basic and didn't make much of an impression. I did like the side sauce though, it was kind of a smokey and peppery Chick-fil-A sauce or something. I have to say that I was a little surprised at the lack of seasoning and salt in all of our dishes, everything seemed a little bland in our opinion. It was definitely high quality food don't get me wrong, it's just that I was expecting much more of a flavor punch than what we got. Overall, our meal, 4 apps, a side and one cocktail came out to $200 incl. tip. I kind of felt like it was on the steep side, though we had a fantastic evening and the food was not bad at all. I would recommend MIA kitchen and I would undoubtedly go back again to check out their menu, in particular because I understand they rotate the items quite often. I'm very curious to see what other creations they can come up with.
