Realized I hadn't given Coco Sushi Lounge & Bar a proper shout-out yet, so here we go. I've stopped in a few times over the last couple of years for casual bites and drinks, and it's consistently been a good go-to. The space itself is really nice--spacious, high ceilings, lots of natural light, and (important to me) plenty of bar seating. The staff has always been friendly and attentive, though yes... I tend to make friends with staff at places I frequent. It just happens. Location-wise, it's just around the corner from E Atlantic Ave, which makes it easy to get to without being overrun by the tourist crowds that stick strictly to the Ave. This most recent visit was just for drinks and, surprisingly, dessert (rare sweet tooth moment). I asked what they had and immediately went with the mochi ice cream--no regrets. Four flavors that tasted like green tea, vanilla, strawberry, and mango, all drizzled with rich chocolate and topped with whipped cream. Definitely hit the spot. So yeah--recommend. read more

We decided to drive out of our city for lunch, especially for happy hour on an early Sunday afternoon! You'll have no problem finding parking as it has street parking all around and a garage that's $1.50 an hour (could be worse). The restaurant was clean and has a nice, calm vibe to it. The happy hour menu has a good selection of drinks and food. I like that it's offered everyday and at convenient times. We ordered: 1) Red Dragon and Triole Sexy ($13 per roll)- we liked it! Good presentation, simple, did not fall apart, tastes good. Price and portion was a plus 2) Salmon Carpaccio ($12)- comes with 5 pieces, topped with fried garlic and yuzu/truffle oil. I barely tasted truffle and I would think it would have came with more pieces, at least 6-8. Overall, tasted good 3) Beef short rib skewer ($9)- comes with 2 skewers of bite size pieces was underwhelming, a bit pricey. I did not get a chance to dine in as it was raining and I was going to leave the hotel. Ubered the food and best sushi I've had in a long time. The food here is absolutely amazing. We have been several times, but finally made it over for happy hour and wow! What a great deal. We have had the short rib bao buns, short rib skewers, triole sexy roll, cooked super crunch roll, out of control roll, and spicy tuna roll. Drink wise, we have had a spicy margarita and lychee martini, both very tasty. Everything we have tried here is a 10/10. This restaurant is beautiful, the layout is so sleek and modern, you can't get a bad seat. It also feels small making it more intimate and perfect for date night. Located in popular Pineapple Grove, Yelp's high rating of this sushi spot convinced us to walk in for dinner on a Thursday evening at 6pm in July. It's a large space and not many people were inside. Service was quick and at times awkward, but alas. The menu has lots of sushi and you can watch it being made at the counter. I enjoyed the Coco King sushi, but others in our party thought the mango was an odd touch. That said, everyone has mixed reviews. Some enjoyed their sushi and others very much didn't. The food was good and Will did an exceptional job taking care of us. The seater was also very friendly and professional. The sushi was pretty good but nothing really stood out to me. I did enjoy that and the prices though. It's a great spot and I'd love to come back. Service didn't take very long but they close the kitchen and bar an hour before closing FYI. Have been to this restaurant many times in the past, this time I tried the sushi roll called ultimate sea bass that has shrimp tempura and seabass but I didn't realize it comes with soypaper! I was disappointed but it was too late. Nevertheless it tasted so good and I got to try sushi without nori. I do think some sushi rolls are overpriced but I guess due to the location it is acceptable. After 10 it seems like the place turns into a bar and music gets loud and the lights get dimmed. I think they were understaffed because it was very difficult to get a hold of the waiters but there were plenty ladies walking around to clean up the dishes. This is our go to sushi spot in Delray. They have great happy hour selections!! Our usual items includes Spicy Tuna Biscuit (spicy tuna crispy rice, good amount of spicy tuna on top!!), Crispy Bok Choi, Edamame (of course!), Spicy Tuna Pizza (loads of Spicy Tuna on top of crispy Tortilla), we also had the Yakitori (great value!) and the spicy crab salad. While getting my son settled into his new place in Delray Beach, we took the opportunity to explore the local food scene--and with sushi on the brain, Coco Sushi Lounge & Bar caught our attention. From the moment we walked in, the service was on point. Our server greeted us promptly, kept the drinks coming, and checked in often without hovering. Friendly, attentive, and efficient--just what you want when dining out in a new city. We started with the Edamame, which arrived hot, generously portioned, and perfectly steamed. The only minor note? A bit of salt imbalance, heavier at the bottom than the top--but certainly nothing that took away from the experience. To get a proper sense of the menu, we sampled a variety of rolls: the California Roll, Tuna Roll, Lobster Dynamite, Angel Island, and Super Crunch. Not a single miss among them. The Lobster Dynamite was a standout--generous chunks of lobster perched on top and dressed in a rich eel sauce, with crisp tempura shrimp flanking either side of the roll for an extra pop of flavor and texture. But the showstopper might have been the Angel Island--topped with Bang Bang Shrimp, this roll was decadent, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. That's something worth noting: the rolls at Coco are substantial. Even with three hungry diners, we couldn't finish them all. For those hesitant about raw fish, the Super Crunch is a great option--it's a cooked roll that delivers big on flavor and texture. And while the California and Tuna Rolls are more traditional, they were executed beautifully, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors. Pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. You get a lot of food for the money, which makes Coco not just a tasty option, but a smart one too. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit inside to soak in the ambiance, but if we had chosen to sit outside we would have been treated to the live music from across the street--next time, we might choose a patio table for that added bonus. The space is clean and well-maintained, including the restrooms (always a good indicator of overall care). Coco has clearly put thought into its customer experience from top to bottom. There's also a vibrant nightlife scene right outside the door, with bars lining the street for post-dinner exploring. And if you're a deal-hunter, Coco's happy hour offers excellent value--available both early and later in the evening. Bottom line: Coco Sushi Lounge & Bar delivers big portions, fresh ingredients, attentive service, and great vibes. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or prefer your seafood cooked, the menu has something for everyone. Five stars well-earned. One of our fave sushi spots in South Florida. We always start with the Spicy Tuna Biscuit which is crispy rice topped with spicy tuna and yummy goodness and the fried pork gyoza. I've been going here for a few years and love it. I mostly go for Happy Hour, and the deals are great. Their Sushi is always very fresh, and their rolls are generous with beautiful presentation. The OUT OF CONTROL ROLL IS AMAZING (they accommodate removing the spicy parts for me)! My husband and I have ordered other foods, as he is not a sushi lover, and everything has been delicious. The waitstaff? Always very friendly and accommodating. After Happy Hour it gets pretty crowded inside -- it seems to be a very trendy place for many age groups. I like the ambience, but I prefer the outside patio area energy, where I can relax. I've sometimes gone by myself, sitting outside and reading peacefully. Daytime seems popular for that.
