This location in along Federal Highway and parking for all the businesses is around back in a parking garage just behind the businesses so it is easy access and a very short walk. I was impressed when I stepped inside. The restaurant is quite large and the Asian inspired interior is beautiful. We were seated in a booth immediately and served our water and drinks. The lunch menu included a section where you could order a hot and cold entree. This was perfect for me as i can never decide on a sushi roll or hot Thai dish! i ordered two of my favorites , a tuna roll and tofu Panang Curry for a very fair price. Delicious food and an awesome Happy Hour until 6:30 pm! Kabuki delivers delicious food and tasty cocktails. Their Happy Hour Menu is large and is available throughout the restaurant. Their sashimi is fresh and their salads are large. The pineapple fried rice was a real treat, with shrimp, chicken, raisins, and a hint of curry making every bite delicious. When was the last time a restaurant had a Happy Hour offered 7 days a week covering the entire restaurant with a pretty sizable food and drink menu all under $10, with most everything $7 or less? Well, I found that here and the experience was wonderful. We we kindly greeted with an offer to sit at a table or bar area. The restaurant is sizable and has a very colorful design inside with dark wood furniture. The service was great from our first order of appetizers to final call for Happy Hour ending which runs from 3pm-6:30pm. The spicy edamame had a sprinkle of seasalt on chili oil diped edamame. The steamed shumai and the pork gyoza were served as a sharable portion and the spicy tuna roll was very fresh. I thought the angry rock shrimp was good to have with sushi. I had the avocado and salmon roll, Tanzaza roll and shrimp tempura roll. The first two were alright but it was hard to make out what you were eating. The shrimp tempura had that defining crunch that made it stand out. The food was decent. Service was good. ITS OFFICIALLY OPEN!!! I've been dying to go here for years but for some reason it closed soon after it initially opened. I'm happy to say they're rock n' rolling. From the outside, it appears upscale. Upon entering I realized it's more of a casual dinner spot. Nice bar off to the side and tables of all sizes to accommodate different parties. The hostess took my friend and I to a cozy little booth. The menu is incredible. My jaw dropped when I saw their sushi menu!! I really love that they offer so many cooked sushi options, because I would prefer tempura shrimp sushi than raw fish. Their menu was overflowing! I decided to go with a krab Rangoon app, Brazilian roll, and top it off with fried banana for dessert. The krab rangoons were sooooooo cute!!!!!!! I have never seen mini ones, but the bite sizes made them so delicious because it was mostly the wonton wrapper. So yummy! My sushi roll was 10/10. I would be willing to try any sushi because it was very evident everything was fresh. The dessert was unreal. The banana was coated and fried , then topped with sweet vanilla ice cream. We had a fantastic lunch here. We'd been to their restaurant in Wellington, but didn't realize until after we'd dined here that they were related. There's easy parking in the garage behind the restaurant. We parked and walked over entering through their back door. You'd wouldn't know it from the view of the restaurant from the main street, but this place is huge inside. There's a very large sushi bar/counter plus booths and tables in two different areas. They have a very extensive lunch menu with a lot of variety in their combos and all are very reasonably priced for Japanese/Thai food. It was difficult making a decision of what to order as many options appealed. I got one of their entree combos, "you pick two". It came with a choice of soup or salad. I selected their salad with ginger dressing. For my entree, I chose the steak teriyaki. They even asked at what temperature I wanted the steak to be cooked. The sliced steak came topped with teriyaki sauce. There were pieces of broccoli, baby corns, and carrots, along with a mound of white rice. There was a dollar upcharge for the steak. I could also have selected grilled chicken. For the other half of my combo, I chose a JB Tempura roll. This was great. Perfectly cooked tempura salmon along with cream cheese that was topped with a drizzle of eel sauce. There were many rolls from which to choose for this combo. My husband chose a salmon donburi bowl. This option also came with soup or salad. He had the salad. The bowl had slices of sushi salmon, avocado, and large ikura roe, on top of (cold) sushi rice. It reminded me of a poke bowl but over rice. It was a very large portion. We were both happily stuffed. And remarked at the same time how wonderful our lunches had been. Had a great dinner with the parents were in town. Since we arrived before happy hour ended we took full advantage. Ordered a few rounds of drinks and apps to share. I recommend the saketini. For our mains my husband and I shared the crispy duck with a basil stir fry and pad Thai. Our server was very sweet and accommodating to us. Out of all the apps we all loved the crab Rangoon's. They had a way of just melting in your mouth that was so tasty. We almost ordered another crispy duck because we enjoyed it so much. This is the dish that will have us returning sooner than later. It is a very casual spot. You can park in the garage behind the restaurant and walk through it to get to the entrance of the restaurant. We ordered edamame for the table and then split two sushi dishes - one with shrimp and the other with crab (Black dragon roll-shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, topped with eel, eel sauce as well as the spider roll - soft shell crab, avocado, asparagus, lettuce, red taboo, eel sauce). Someone ordered shrimp garlic stif fry with steamed vegetables and garlic sauce. Some other people ordered pad Thai with shrimp (The pad Thai was with the clear noodle-egg, onion, scallion, tomato, Napa cabbage, baby corn, celery, carrot, mushroom cellophane noodle) and some chicken dishes. The food was decent and they brought out a dessert for the birthday girl (fried dough with condensed milk) which was very nice! They were nice when we wanted to talk some pictures too. Best sushi in town! My husband and I came in after work since they are open until 11pm. Located between Woolbright rd and federal rd in Boynton. The staff is wonderful and attentive. The ambiance is chill and warm. We ordered from appetizers to rolls. Another time, my husband ordered teriyaki chicken and it was delicious as well. Food was OK. However the service is a lot too be desired ! We had out of town family visiting and had a little celebration going on. We brought our own wine and we were aware of corkage fees. The server brought us wine glasses, asked us if we brought our own opener and she left. She never opened any of bottles nor did she poured the wine. When came to pay the bill she made sure to charge us for each bottle plus tax and 18% tip on something she didn't provide. We don't mind paying for service and we probably would give her better tip if she took her time to uncork the wine and pour it. Having mediocre service doesn't warrant the tip they charged. I really liked Kabuki but their staff is racist. I, a white woman, have ordered takeout from Kabuki before without issue. My husband, a black man, went to pickup our takeout last night and I had put the order in his name. The woman at the front desk interrogated him, asking him to recite the entire order, insinuating that she didn't believe that he was who he said he was, even though he asked for a takeout order under his name when he walked in and they 100% had a to-go order in that name. He has stated before that when he went for happy hour with a friend and sat at the bar that the bar tender was also rude and was trying to rush him out. This is unfortunate because we live in One Boynton and would have been regulars at Kabuki but we can't tolerate this ongoing disrespect and apparent racism that has made my husband too uncomfortable to return. Sushi Simon across the street is much more accepting and respectful of ALL of their guests. read more
