Delicious Thai food! I found this little gem nearby my daughter's dance recital. She loves sushi and I love Thai curry so it was a win-win. I got the yellow curry and it was delicious. I visited Sabai Thai & Sushi on a Sunday for dinner around 8 PM (one of the Thai restaurants close to our hotel had a near hour and a half long wait!) with my dad. We ordered the spring roll and pad Thai, along with the classic Thai fried rice. Meat quality for both of us was good (we both ordered chicken with our rice and noodles), the flavor was delicious! I really enjoyed how many vegetables and the variety of which were found in my dad's rice order. The front as you pull up at night is not so pretty or inviting. But once you open the door and walk in, you are transformed into a modern-day Thai/ sushi restaurant with great food, amazing service, and wonderful options of food. We walked in, and the most pleasant person (Penny) came over and seated us and took our order. We went with the Thai Dumplings and the Shrimp Sumai appetizers and Tom Kha soup. For our main course, we shared between the three of us. Panang Curry shrimp, Chicken Drunken Noodles, and Pork stir-fried Vegies. Three different plates. All are delicious! The only thing was I should have asked for a little spicier, so I added some of their spices to give it a kick. First of all its super expensive for what you get... second of all, i ordered 2 pad thais (1 level 1 spice and 1 no spice) the normal pad Thai without spice was so hot and the one with spice you couldn't even eat... I ordered a curry box with sushi rolls and a salad, they didn't properly package it and the curry sauce went all over the salad and sushi which i couldn't eat. My husband ordered soup and he likes it level 2 heat, he told me it was so hot he couldn't even eat it. $120 wasted!!!!!! And i called to let them know and they offered no refund, said that they would have to call the credit card company and they cant and offered to remake 1 of the meals. I wanted to bring it all back and let them see for themselves how spicy the food was. Never ever ever again will i ordered from them!!!! read more

While in Boynton Beach, FL, I was looking for a good Thai Joint. Personally, I've noticed a lot of Thai restaurants in the area also, serve Japanese sushi and bento boxes. The island style themed restaurant was cute, the one thing I noticed was the premade food in a display case. The only other time I've seen this is in Little Tokyo Los Angeles, Ca. All the restaurants have a display case facing outside so the customers can decided if they want to eat at that specific restaurant. The flavor of all the dishes we ordered was authentic, everything came out fresh and hot but, I was surprised by the portion size. We were a party of 3 and ordered three items and an appetizer, we ate everything which is very rare because the portions are usually larger but not in this case. It should also be noted, if you have kids that do not eat Thai food and you wanted bring in something for them such as Mc Donald's they are very strict as we overheard a family behind us that was asked to leave, the mother said, "My kids don't eat Thai food but my husband and I want to eat here." I get it, but its business for them and no one was in the restaurant, what was the problem here? Ordered Egg Rolls - The veggie rolls came out piping hot with a fragrance of ginger which paired well with the sauce, typical sweet and spicy ma ploy. Pad Thai - The Pad Thai had great flavor and good amount of chicken. Pad Se Eew - Had beautiful Wok hay (which is originally a Cantonese phrase used to describe a essence or aroma that is created in a dish when authentic stir-frying is performed) it's a slight char on the crust of the noodle if stir-fried correctly. Traditionally the dish uses Chinese broccoli but, in this case, it was served using regular broccoli. Fried Rice - The combo fried rice had great flavor but again the protein was lacking with only 1 shrimp it was a bit of a disappointment. read more

We had a very good lunch at this small family owned restaurant. It's in a strip of stores on the south side of the street. I wouldn't have come here or found this place in my usual travels had I not bookmarked it from a Yelp review that sounded interesting. They have both a Thai menu and a Japanese/sushi menu. You can mix and match. I started with their vegetable soup. The broth was so good that I made my husband taste a spoonful. After that I had their kanisu roll (no rice) -- cucumber wrapped around krab meat and avocado. The very good roll was tightly and perfectly executed. Each piece was filled with a lot of krab. And there were two extra pieces of krab on the plate. It came with the usual sunomono dipping sauce. My husband had their yellow curry with chicken. The bowl was brimming with sauce and there was chicken in every bite. There was pineapple, potato and carrots in the dish in addition to the chicken. He was going to order the dish "hot", but the gal suggested he order it "medium". She explained that since the curry was house made, it was quite spicy already. She nicely brought extra hot sauce to the table -- in case he wanted it spicier, but he did not need to use it. Prices were very reasonable. We went for the Lunch Special which includes Soup-of-the-Day and choice of selected entrees at a reduced menu price. In our area, very few Thai restaurants offer "Pad Woon Sen" (wonder why?) so we ordered that plus a Red Curry dish. Today's soup was a strange spiced flavor of Beef Soup, with no substitutions allowed (they are VERY strict). The Lunch portions were reasonable and the Pad Woon Sen was one of the best tasting in the area! The Red Curry chicken was also very tasty and tender. If you wanted a salad or spring rolls or beverage, they were all extra at regular expensive menu prices (normal menu Sabai Thai prices are some of the highest around). Another example of Covid influenced inflated prices with reduced food quantity. I ordered a pad Thai with chicken via Uber Eats. To my astonishment, the quantity of the main dish was equal to an appetizer at some other places. I was so disappointed. Overall it was marginal, at best. I paid to have chicken added, and all they did was chop it up chicken very very fine and sprinkle it over the top. Eating a stack of noodles for $39.00 (including Uber fees) made it worse. I continue to order delivery from Sabai with reliable results! So glad I wrote about the vegetable roll in my OG review, because it reminded me to re-order this, and I have to reiterate: the veggie roll is awesome and definitely worth ordering! Additionally, I like the California rolls (although they are on the small side), and my husband likes the Green Dragon roll. Haven't ventured too far from these standards, but recently ordered some items for my kids to try: edamame, wonton soup (the wontons have chicken inside), and Pad See Eew (noodles with a brown sauce). My kids declared the wonton soup as too spicy and balked at the high vegetable ratio in the noodle dish. However, I loved the noodle dish, so more for me. It was delicious hot but also excellent the next day cold! It also included a generous amount of fried tofu; thank you! I would definitely order this again for my kids to try again (and so I have every excuse to eat the leftovers for lunch the next day). It's smaller restaurant but I like when it's smaller because they attend to you better and don't give up quality. The decor is more outdated. But the quality of food isn't! We ordered the Pad Thai which was good. Wasn't too dry or watery. And not too sweet. Also ordered Thai dumpling, omega roll, dynamite roll. Which all was great too. But *drum roll* they also have my authentic papaya salad that I seek at every Thai restaurant I go to. And when I say authentic I mean fermented blue crab in it. P.S. they do have boba tea available. Only 4 flavors to choose from but sometimes that's all you need with your wonderful meal! Make sure you make this one of your places to visit or even take out. Food is great, but this place is the capitol of shrinkflation. We don't order to go from here anymore . They shrunk all their to go containers, and raised their prices. I get times are hard, but I'm more than happy to pay more but I expect to get at least a decent portion of rice. They give you like half a cup for their curry dish. I just left this place, food was good but customer service was horrible it's our first time here we didn't know they didn't do Apple Pay, so they had us Zelle the $, I Zelled what I had and couldn't tip because I didn't have cash nor did they take Apple Pay!!! Me and my buddy Drew came here for a bite to eat after shooting at the range. He's a stickler for fish quality, even well above how I am... and that's a alot. I personally thought the place was pretty good. He said for sushi he'd rather go to the other place we went to before. However I am convincing him that we have to try this place one more time to try the Thai food exclusively(doesn't that word sound great when talking about cuisine?). I'd say the Spicy Tuna I had was pretty good and the Spicy Krab was ok, could've used more crab... seems to be far too less rice than I normally get anywhere for same type of roll. Thai-ish I like Sabai for a variety of reasons: the food is good, you have thai and sushi selections and the service is quick and friendly. A small, and what appears to be family run, place hidden on Hypoluxo, we can place an order and get it within 20 minutes for pick-up.  They haven't messed it up yet so a double bonus in my opinion. The menu is pretty extensive and there is most everything you could want on both the thai and sushi sides of the house. The restaurant itself has a few tables and is decorated in the appropriate Asian theme you would expect.  The workers are super friendly and they all greet you when you walk in. I was getting my hair done at suite 102 and the restaurant was waking distance. I ordered the poke bowl, boba green tea drink and wings (to go) Cost $43. I was disappointed in the over charge on the drink the menu says $3.95 but I was charged $5.50 The wings are nothing special . It was 4 pieces for $10. You can go the super market and get 6 for much less. The poke bowl doesn't have enough protein maybe 2oz. Since I'm a bodybuilder it was very disappointing. This is a small place but it was quite busy even on a Monday evening for dinner. When we arrived, there were no booths available and only couple of tables available for seating. The food was great but the service could be better. We ordered two Thai iced teas and only received one. Then I ordered Penang Thai curry but when the food arrived, we received green curry instead. Obviously the green curry had to go back. While we were waiting for the right order to arrive, I tried the pad Thai which was pretty delicious. The Penang curry was pretty good too and I really liked the flavor. But nobody came to fill up our waters. When we got done with the dinner, I had to ask for the check because we were waiting for some time. Overall, like I said, the service was slow and subpar. Maybe they were short on the staff. But we did enjoy our food. It was very good and that's why I'm still giving this place 4 stars. Both the Penang curry and chicken pad Thai tasted really good.
