The dumplings, lo mein, and sesame chicken were all fire. Quick PSA for my friends who can't handle spice - steer clear of the Mongolian beef unless you want your mouth to spontaneously combust. Mixed review. We ordered a pupu platter, pork fried rice and Moo goo gai pan (chicken and veg.) . The rice was bland and boring. No egg or sprouts. The chicken dish was decent. In the pu pu the egg rolls and shrimp were good as were the wings. The Rangoon and spare ribs were over cooked. The ribs were bland and dry. I usually don't opt for Chinese food as a rule, but my fiancé wanted it and after a stressful week and a Saturday filled with extra stresses for him and an unexpected emergency root canal for me, I simply wasn't going to protest anything he wanted. I was pleasantly surprised with Panda Garden. It's a small take-out place with nothing upscale about it... again, the type of place I typically avoid... but they had Mei Fun on the menu and decent reviews and, full of Novocain and pain-killers, I was just happy to actually be able to eat. He got the Boneless Spare Ribs platter and I got Vegetable Mei Fun and spring rolls. It was really good! The Mei Fun had a light but satisfying taste, wasn't greasy, and the serving was large and, though I only ate about half, pleasantly filling. Great service, ready quickly, and very inexpensive. I'll return next time I'm up for a fast Chinese food dinner. read more

This should sum up our experience: After each dish we tasted, we said "well, that wasn't bad." Not a ringing endorsement. Except for the won ton soup. We expected it to be good since one yelper commented that the soups were great. While the won tons in the soup were very good, the broth smelled bad and tasted even worse. The broth was disgusting. The best part of our meal was the steamed dumplings. They were light and tasty. Too bad the whole meal wasn't up to that standard! Obviously, won tons and dumplings are the stand out selections - from our sampling, at least. The Szechuan chicken had no flavor. We expected it to be hot. Isn't that what the chili pepper on the menu meant? I was grateful that it wasn't laden with celery but I wish it wasn't so bland. The beef lo mein wasn't bad but wasn't great either. The General Tao's wasn't bad. It actually tasted more like orange chicken and I prefer the chicken pieces to be crunchy, rather than mushy, which this chicken was. Overall, Panda Garden is better than some, but we'll keep looking for a place that wows us! read more

It's been a long time since I've been to this restaurant. I used to come here in high school. I was craving fried chicken wings and they are known for their fried chicken wings. They have a hint of ginger in them. Anyway they haven't lost their touch. The wings were still banging. However, though the wings were good the fried rice that came with them was just okay. It was a yellow rice with green onions and shrimp thrown in. It's just wasn't really authentic fried rice. Then there was the service. We chose to dine in. The person who took our order was nice enough. But then there was a older guy who came out from behind the counter to watch us eat the entire time. It really creeped me out. I will give this place another try for the wings but definitely taking my food to go. read more

I am the first to review Panda Garden? Cool.... I loved this place when I lived in downtown LW. There are a bunch of really shitty takeout chinese places on Dixie Hwy in LW that I would avoid like the plague. Pandas is about a mile west of them in a Publix strip center a little before downtown. The place is run by a nice, young chinese woman who apparently works her ass off because she is ALWAYS there. Her english is not very good but she is nice, as are the other people who work there. I've been to Pandas at least 20 times... many just for their delicious and inexpensive soups, which are all less than $3 for a quart, and the food was always good. I never ordered anything extravagant here, but their wonton, egg drop and hot and sour are fabulous as well as the basic chinese dishes like chicken chow mein and pork fried rice. The main thing is... if youre near downtown LW and need a chinese fix, you're not gonna get stiffed here like you will at the 5-6 shitty takeouts along Dixie Hwy and the rest of the downtown area. Nor will you have to worry about the number of trips to the toilet you will have to make later in the evening or about having to pray to the porcelain God... Ha !.... All the food is fresh and will not make you sick... and if you order from here, you will be back. read more

I got 3... should've indulged with 30 :/ Dinner size Pork Chiw Mein was hearty and moist (sorry for using that disgusting word, nothing else seems to fit). First time patron, after reading reviews decided to try. I got the bean curd soup with mixed veggie. It came out nice and hot, good flavor, plenty of veggies. Steamed chicken with mixed veg same review as with the soup. I also tried the egg roll and it was really good. Nice and crispy, great flavor. The food on the other peoples plates looked good also. Overall expericence was great. Aside from the food, the restaurant is strip mall typical, one plus is that they have an open kitchen so you have piece of mind, it seems clean for the amount of foot traffic which is also a plus because food is getting cycled. I used to live around the corner from here. The shrimp lo mein is unbelievable. Service is friendly. Portions are large. It's now about a 45 minute round trip drive and I'll make it every now and then, it's that good. The pricing is solid, the only issue is the fact you're going to get some inconsistencies. Sometimes you'll have fresh rice with a lovely flavor, while other times you will have the rice from maybe a week ago. Like it had been frozen and then reheated for consumption. Your best bet is going while they are super busy and they have to make your meal to order. It'd be good to have a strong stomach as well, the place isn't the cleanest, as the back door is always open and flies are all over the place and sweaty/sneezing cooks are always around. The staff isn't really nice, but again you get what you pay for. Low price, subpar service, okay food (sometimes). read more

The food is delicious--no MSG, not loaded with grease and make you sick like many Chinese food from other places, loaded with fresh veggies and meats, and the soups are always excellent.
