The food quality I get when I order a General Tso chicken with pork fried rice and a spring roll brings back memories of living there, and that means a lot to me. Customer service is good when they're not busy. It's a rare occasion that they are not busy because the food is really good. If you've ever been to New York and had New York Chinese food, then this is the closest that you're going to get to it. We stopped here for lunch. They do a lot of takeout, mainly, but they also have a few tables for dining inside. We ordered from their lunch combination plate specials. For lunch, they're all $9.65 and there are over 30 choices. You can order lunch Monday - Saturday (Sunday not included) . Each plate for lunch gives you a choice of rice -- pork fried or white; then either an egg roll or a canned soda. I got their roast pork with mixed vegetables -- there was lots of sliced pork along with all the Chinese veggies including baby corn. I also got their egg roll -- which I liked as it had the traditional wrapper and was crispy. My husband got the spicy shrimp with garlic sauce. He liked his meal better than mine. A great discovery! We stopped in for lunch and took advantage of their lunch special menu. You get an Entree, choice of fried or white rice, an egg roll or a can of soda. Our combined lunch total was less than $21. I chose the #25, Shrimp with Garlic sauce, white rice and a can of soda. After about 15 minutes our order was ready and we sat at one of the inside tables to eat. My Shrimp in Garlic sauce had just the right amount of heat to complement the sweet garlic sauce. Super fresh, delicious Chinese takeout! Had the combo dinner. I got the shrimp with broccoli and it came with an egg roll and choice of soup or soda. Service is quick. The woman who I spoke to (who I believe is the owner )was very friendly and her son works the counter. Arrived at 6:40pm, the place was very busy (Sunday) and after waiting for two other patrons I paid for my order. Thought it would be ready but, NO, I think they just put it in once I came and paid. Seems other people were also told 25 minutes, arrived, then waited and waited. My order was finally ready at a few minutes past 7pm. 45 minutes is not 25 minutes. If they were honest with me I would have simply left a little later, but not happy about waiting in a crowded storefront or outside with no seating. Was it worth it? No. The food was mediocre. My go to spot became unreasonable with their price hikes, so I ventured out to see what the rest of the 334XX has to offer in the way of Chinese food. With the help of Yelp, I stumbled across this gem that I've passed hundreds of times. My wife and I are strict vegetarians, so the offerings were adequate for us. They also had our favorite dishes available (sesame tofu and szechuan tofu). Upon just first appearance, the food already looked better. The tofu looked like tofu, not overly breaded chunks of air. The taste was great. Each bite hit all of the tastebuds. We had some addons - spring rolls and soups. All very good. I think I still prefer my old restaurant's recipe, but this hot and sour soup was nothing to scoff at. My only complaint was the soup doesn't come with the crispy noodles, but that was a minor inconvenience. We have been coming to this spot for years regardless of where we live in Palm Beach County. My wife has shellfish allergies and the restaurant cooks all their food separately (just regularly without asking) so she never gets sick. The prices for the lunch and dinner combos are very reasonable and it only takes about 15 minutes to get from the time you order. The food quality is very consistent and we have never had a bad meal. Highly recommend the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Lo Mein, and Chicken with Mixed Vegetables. The wonton soup is also outstanding. The portions were huge! The lomein was loaded with veggies! The beef was very tender and flavorful. We ordered bucket of fried rice 2 bags of crab rangoon and a large wonton soup. 1 hour later recieved cold soup soggie rangoons and warm rice. The mongolian beef was decent but a little chewy. Had good flavor and would probally try it again. The organe chicken was an entirely different story. There were pieces that were mostly batter. When you did find a piece that meat it looked very dark and chewy. Couldn't even eat it hecause the texture was horrible and flavor was just not good. I was veey disappointed especially concidering they charge on average of $10 per dish. Chicken should look like chicken no matter how it is prepeared. Customer service was average. Would like to see more of a warm greeting when walking into their establishment. It does feel unwelcoming when people seem to be too busy to greet the customer. If you're going to charge 10 to 13 for a dish please make sure the quality matches your prices. Panada express is horrible but at leaste their chicken looks like chicken. I ordered what I always order, and I was told 40 mins for delivery...here I am at 8:55pm, and still no food. I called back at 8:22pm, and was told the order should be to me any minute.
