I like the restaurant itself too, though I've never sat down. I am a major fan of orange chicken and I paired it with vegetable lo mein which tasted delicious. You could tell the food was made fresh because it was piping HOT. Extremelyyyyy flavorful sauce as well. I liked how the chicken had actual meat on it and it wasn't full of batter. The lo mein was also piping hot and quite tasty. It took about 20 minutes to prepare & I was able to eat twice out of one meal. Definitely will be back if I ever feel for Chinese!!!

The ingredients tasted fresh, the seasoning was on point, and nothing felt unnecessarily heavy or overly sauced. The shrimp shumai were delicious--generously filled and flavorful. The garlic clam with vermicelli was probably my favorite. Not only was the presentation beautiful, served on oyster shells, but the combination actually worked. The garlic was flavorful without overpowering the delicate clams, and the vermicelli provided a great contrast in texture. This is the kind of dish where you can tell some thought went into the execution. The sweet and sour pork was also very well done. Crisp, not greasy, and importantly, not drowning in an overly sweet sauce. The balance was just right. We finished with the egg custard, which takes about 20 minutes to prepare. It was worth waiting for. It had that genuine, traditional quality that you don't always find when restaurants start modifying dishes to appeal to a broader audience. And then there was the service: Our server, Mai, was wonderful. She was warm, courteous, and professional without being overly formal or hovering. More importantly, she actually knew the menu. Her recommendations were excellent, and every dish she suggested delivered. She also recommended a sake pairing that complemented the meal beautifully. I also thought the pricing was very reasonable for the quality. These are dishes that require good ingredients and careful preparation, and I didn't feel like we were paying an inflated price. Authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, thoughtful execution, and genuinely good service. That's what makes a restaurant worth returning to--and Grand Lake got all four right. I ordered the War Shu Duck, and it was every bit as good as I remembered from when I was a kid--crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The wonton noodle soup was outstanding as always. The broth was clean, rich, and full of flavor. The wontons were generously filled with shrimp and pork, along with bok choy, making every bite satisfying. I also had the shrimp balls, which arrived piping hot, were perfectly cooked, and weren't greasy at all. They were packed with flavor. Overall, another excellent dining experience. It's great to see a longtime local favorite continue to deliver the same quality after all these years. I'll definitely be back.

If you've been to one Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, you've been to them all. Very consistent, fast-casual Pan-Asian cuisine that's satisfying if you're in the mood for it and hungry. We received our meal reasonably promptly after placing the order. I enjoyed my General Tso's chicken with stir-fry noodles so much that I ended up bringing them home to have for leftovers the next day. They heat up very well the next day if you can't finish them. Let's be honest, finding good Chinese food around boynton beach is no easy task.. We ordered the BBQ spare ribs, chicken chow mein, Mongolian beef, and General Tso's chicken. The spare ribs were just okay. Not bad, just not something I'd rush to order again. The General Tso's chicken and Mongolian beef, though? Both were descent and hit the spot. Overall, the food was very good, for the area! Now let's get to the most important part of this review.. When my chicken chow mein arrived, I honestly thought they had sent the wrong order. Instead of the crispy noodle dish most of us expect with vegetables & chicken, it came as a soupy mix with lettuce, celery, cabbage, chicken, a few shredded carrots, and crispy wontons on the side. I called the restaurant to let them know, and that's when I learned this is simply how they serve chow mein.. Once I realized it wasn't a mistake, I told them not to worry about it at all. But the manager clearly wasn't having that. He called me back and was determined to make sure I was happy. Truly above-and-beyond service. Even after I insisted I was fine, he sent over another dish similar to what I had wanted and wow. Vegetables and rice noodles in a spicy sauce that ended up being the best dish of the entire order. I don't even know what it's called, but I do know I'll be ordering it again. Great service, genuinely kind people, and food that keeps getting better. Sometimes it's not just about the meal. It's about how a restaurant treats you, and this place absolutely nailed it.
