This is a casual restaurant that's been here for awhile (a newspaper review was on the wall from 2019) recommended by a Vietnamese woman we know. They have waiter service and the food is delivered with the assistance of a robot. The pho and the goicuon (summer roll) were the highlights. The broth had a very nice flavor and the summer rolls had both pork and shrimp inside. My mixed bowl, bun with shrimp, pork and spring roll was nice, but missing something - a certain flavor I associate with Vietnamese cuisine. The greens like cilantro, Húng quế (basil), pork egg rolls, and lime coalesce with the broth in a way that can only be described as inefable. Please eat here on a rainy day, on a sunny day, on a day where comfort food is beckoning. Slip into the frequency of the ambiance. Speak to the hostess in numbers (ie 38 for spicy beef pho). Be concise and she will be kind :) I love this place for pho. First off, I have been here before. It was a few years back and I did like it very much not sure why I did not review it then so here it goes for this visit. Whereas previously it was a 5 for me it is now sadly a 2 or 3. 2 big issues detracted points. 31 is tucked into a corner of a strip to the left of Publix as you come in off Gateway. When you enter you notice it's kind of funky with that cool Florida vibe. It's unpretentious as this type of restaurant generally is. Plenty of seating at lunchtime even though it's not real big. Menu as before features pictures of the dish, sandwich or bowl with VN name and English description. I honestly didn't notice that taped onto the menu it said 1-3$ up. Easy to miss and I was mad afterward when I went to pay for my 14.95 bowl of seafood Pho and it was what? $18.95. I said what? And then I learned prices have gone up. I'll say! That being stated the soup was really good with lots of different seafood items that filled me up. It was when I was paying that I put my arm around the owner a nice guy but apparently to engrossed in his duties and the cell phone that he was playing with the whole time I was there to um how shall I say this, clean the bathrooms. Gross is putting it mildly. I have attached a picture of the light switch I did not attach the picture of the toilet seat that I lifted in order to pee. Sad to report this but I must, the under of the seat was as dirty as the light switch but with you know what. And it was caked on for a while it seems to me. If I had seen that prior to eating, I would have walked out for sure! Probably only cleaned once a every couple or few weeks if that. To my way of thinking restaurants are obligated to clean the bathroom daily. While I was in the area, I decided to pop in to get a quick pho lunch to go. It's located in a small plaza off of Gateway west of 95 north of Publix. The menu has a lot of options and it wasn't easy narrowing it the choice. The grilled pork with rice noodles was excellent. I was surprised how much they were able to fit in the takeout container since the portions were huge. The pork was flavored nicely and it went well with the rice noodles. It came with a salad with a tangy dressing on the side. The order was placed when I got there and I got it within 10 minutes. The reasonable prices and quick service did the trick for me. I wouldn't mind going back and trying some of the other items they have in the future. read more

Pho 31, is #2 in my PBC pho pantheon, with virtuoso Vietnamese cuisine, and above average ambiance. While there is NEVER a Second Baptist Church, pho joints have more weird numbers than billboard whiplash lawyers trolling for clients. There is very little generic about this place. It's as real-deal Vietnamese as you get in this county. The menu, which leans Hue City cuisine, has a lot of items that are pop faves with the area's Vietnamese community. Hue City cuisine with top notch pho, banh-mi, and a lot of items that true foodies can spend several visits exploring. Steamed rice cake, or rare round-eye beef with noodles, shaken beef, and grilled pork patties are all things that you see on more Americanized Vietnamese restaurants' menus. Excellent service. The ambiance is a touch more upscale than your generic pho joint too. Parking is plentiful. read more

This little mom and pop spot serves the best pho in Boyton hands down! They're a small family owned operation with no website and some of the freshest food around. When you walk inside it has a feel as if you walked into someone's home rather than a restaurant. Very cozy and inviting. I always like to start off with a Vietnamese sandwich for an app. Its served on perfectly crisp bread with just the right amount of mayo. The pho at this spot is definitely the must have though. It's seasoned perfectly without being overly salty like a lot of other places make it. Overall a great spot if you're in the mood for good Vietnamese but do note that they are randomly closed on Thursdays. read more

This is an updated review as I'm 99% sure I wrote a review the week that it opened. When I am sick there is one thing that I want to eat/drink: soup. First soup of choice being my mom's rendition of chicken noodle soup followed by pho. From the aroma and spiciness of the broth to the freshness of ingredients that melt into perfection when they meet the steaming broth all the way to the hot chilli paste that opens up my sinuses to help me enjoy this deliciousness and start feeling better again. Today while on a meds run, I stopped in at Pho 31 to both save myself some miles and to see if they have redeemed themselves. I'm so happy to say that they have. My pho was perfect. Perfect flavor, perfect portion and perfect meal to give me the strength I needed. I ordered to go but remarked how nice the seating area was and the addition of beer and wine to enjoy with your meal. I loved that the menu included pictures and the authentic name of the entrees. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying out some other dishes! read more

My wife and I are huge fans of good Pho. We have been coming here for years (used to be called Pho 13). Immediately when you walk in, it's a very tiny but intimate type of setting. The entire place looked spotless. Extremely clean. Good service all around. We always start off with a couple spring rolls and egg rolls. The menu is deceiving because the spring rolls look small but they are huge! They are so incredibly fresh. Very good quality. Even better the fact they're only $1.75 a piece! What a deal!! Their house green tea w/ fresh ginger is very refreshing. Our go-to dish is the shrimp pho and its always delicious. The broth is flavorful, the ingredients are fresh and portion size is very good. I am a huge fan of this place. I will continue to come anytime I get a pho fix. The best part of it all is how reasonably priced they are to get that kind of quality is phenomenal. This is not only one of my favorite Pho places I have tried, but this is one of my favorite dinner spots in Boynton. Such an incredible bang-for-buck restaurant. You can't beat it. On the menu I ordered a chicken fried rice for 11.95 when I got the bill it was 14.45 and when I questioned her about it she showed me in the menu on scotch tape it says "1-3 up" nothing about a piece increase. 4 1/2 stars. Believe the reviews. I'm always a bit skeptical when a new place has very high reviews and those giving a place 5 stars haven't written very many reviews of other places. But after a recent not so good experience at a new Vietnamese restaurant in Boca Raton, I was craving a good banh mi and more. This location was familiar to us -- it used to be a decent hot dog place until the owners changed formats. The strip of stores on the north side of Gateway Bvd now boasts a hot pot restaurant, another pho place, and this restaurant. They've done a lovely job of redecorating the inside. Black lacquered tables and bamboo. The menu is quite large. No skimping or cutting corners here. All items are pictured and numbered, too. So instead of the banh mi, I wound up ordering their pancake (sometimes called Happy Pancake) on other's menus. I was also very happy to see you could order one spring roll for only $1.75! It was small, but a good starter while waiting for my hot food. I ordered one with shrimp only. It came tightly packed. They don't offer peanut sauce (I don't think so), but have a pitcher of clear dipping sauce on the table that you can pour into a small dish. There are small flakes of hot red pepper in it, so I wound up using hoisin sauce. My husband got their roast pork banh mi. The bread was slightly toasted -- crunchy and perfect on the outside. Inside was grilled pork and the usual fresh veggies. Although there were no jalapeños, He said it was a very, very good sandwich. And a bargain at $5.50. My pancake came out on a huge plate. On the side was lettuce (to use as a wrap), plus carrots, cilantro, and basil leaves. The pancake crepe was perfectly cooked inside and out -- light and airy. Inside it was packed with pork, bean sprouts, and shrimp. I ate some of it as is and the rest wrapped in lettuce and dipped in the sauces. Just delicious. Note -- they've just received their beer and wine license, but haven't stocked up yet. Meanwhile, they have Asian drinks and canned sodas. If you've had so so Vietnamese food, this is the place to come to see how it's really supposed to be made. You won't regret it. read more

This restaurant has had a change of ownership and their reviews truly reflect how great their food is. They previous had terrible reviews due to their poor management in service. Every time I step in now for take out, I am so pleased with the food. They have the best grilled pork I've ever had. Either get their pork patties or their grilled pork with noodles for $10. If you wrap it in lettuce and add fish sauce, you'll never want to eat anything ever again! They also manage to have low costs. Their Pho is so tasty! Every time I walk in the restaurant, I can smell how amazing their pho broth is. They actually cook the rare beef for take out orders too which is unique. I think they have stepped it up and I'm definitely a fan. Sometimes it's a bit difficult to order due to the language barrier but their menu has plenty of pictures that helps. read more

So tried this tonight and am so glad I did!! Usually I add some chili or sauce to my pho (after tasting of. Course!!) The beef broth may not have quite the depth of some but what freshness!! So clean I could taste the spices the perfect broth for the accompanying veggies!! My hubby had the spicy bun bo and it was delicious! My mom the chicken bun and wasn't quite sure about it til the older vietnamese woman came over....poured sauce on and mixed it up!! My mom was a little shocked but then tickled pink and ended up loving every bite!!! Granted the mango "smoothie" was more like an icee or sushi and my coffee wasn't very good but I don't go there for those. You come here for the food - and not so much for the service ; service was normal - nothing special which is ok for a place like this . Ordered the dumplings , shrimp pho , and combination pho . For drinks - tried the mango smoothie and wife had coke . Overall very very satisfied , the food was extremely delicious , very authentic taste. I really wanted to like this place but sadly after our second visit I've decided that it's a no go for me . We ordered one of the easiest & simplest items on the menu , chicken Bahn Mi and it failed terribly. The tiny morsel of chicken that they add to the sandwich is tough & over cooked , and the rest of the sandwich is simply tasteless except for the occasional sprig of cilantro. The service was fairly quick, and the food was very tasty. My wife is Vietnamese and even she was pleased with the dishes we had. They get 3 because my husband liked his beef Pho and bah mi sandwich. The seafood pho (07) had very little flavor and was mostly imitation crab. The shrimp were tiny and still cut into pieces. Squid was ok. Just no flavor in the seafood or the broth. The pork spring rolls were also bland and the sauce served was very thin. No solid complaints about the food, but the inside of the restaurant is not pleasant. Every thing you touch is greasy! The chairs, the tables, the menus, the metal & plastic silverware, the baskets of condiments, the condiments themselves need a good cleaning as the opening of the sauces are "glued" shut from the sauce inside. And definitely the floors! This place needs a good de-greasing! read more
