    Avocado summer roll
    Susan L.

It's hard to find a Vietnamese restaurant in the Boca area. I have to say we are spoiled living in Orlando with the large selection of Vietnamese restaurants so we were happy to find this when we were visiting family. Went in for a late lunch and shared a grilled shrimp Bahn mi and the avocado summer roll. Both are very fresh. The shrimp were large and cooked. Perfectly, had a bit of a tandoori taste rather than the Vietnamese flavored shrimp, but that was perfectly fine. It was a large sandwich enough for two the spring rolls were full of lettuce and noodles with a very nice peanut sauce, and the avocado gave it another texture. Very unpretentious really enjoyed our lunch there.

I had a great Brown Sugar Boba Tea at this little Vietnamese restaurant in Boca. It's located in the Publix shopping center on Military and Clint more so there is easy parking and it is close to where I work which makes it really convenient. The restaurant is clean, bright and open with indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered at the counter. It took a little while to make my tea because it was quite a process and it was a really good drink. I will be trying more tea and take out Pho on my way home from work.

Wow so good. This was my first time having pho and it was great. I got the vegetable pho beef broth. They really added a good amount of vegetables in it. Will be coming back!

What a treat!! Outstanding quality & so many great choices we will return many times. Generous portions and freshest ingredients. Very pleasant service and helpful! The A6: fresh summer roll. Excellent peanut sauce. A15: young papaya salad with shrimp. Thank goodness I used chopsticks & took my time devouring the entire plate - beautifully plated & again, so fresh. B9: banh-mi mixed sandwich. Fiancé said one of the BEST he has ever eaten. Warm crusty baguette and fresh veggies and excellent balance. best wishes for continued success. We love the food!!

Loved our lunch here the other day... The restaurant is set back. Facing Publix, it is located to the right in the little alcove. There's plenty of parking spaces in the lot even with it being a busy location. The restaurant inside has banquets along each wall and a row of tables down the middle. There is a menu in the wall, but there's also a printed copy and a QR code, if you prefer. It's easier to order by menu item number. We began by sharing a fresh summer roll with shrimp. It was good. We both liked their version of the peanut dipping sauce. They have a pork version and a few fried crispy rolls, too. We each got our own banh Mi sandwich. We both ordered the pork. I got mine without jalapeños, however. The French bread was a true baguette -- crusty and crunchy outside. The pork was lean and slightly warm -- having just been cooked in a light bbq sauce. There was a lot of meat in the sandwich compared to other ones we've had. The veggies were nice and crisp and the added cilantro gave it a freshness of flavor . I'd order this again definitely. Can't wait to come back to try their various soups/pho's and other main dishes also. If they are half as good as the sandwiches, it will be a permanent keeper.

Pathetic vegetable plate for the special oxtail pho

Service: lack luster. The waitress had her headphone on the entire time. I had to say excuse me 4-5 times for her to even acknowledge. Food: the special oxtail pho is $18.xx with 2 pieces of 1/2 of a meatball, 1 piece of oxtail and a few slices of meat. Nothing special. They brought out the attached pathetic plate of vegetable... Do not expect much from a pho place in fancy Boca area, except it'll be mediocre and overpriced. My meal confirmed exactly that. Will not be back. Do not recommend.

Great place that just opened 3 months ago! First let me start with no MSG in their food which I think is amazing, just like in Europe. We got the Tempura Shrimp Appetizer, very tasty and delicious, Vietnamese baguette sandwich B6 on the menu, so fresh and the meat was great, also I got the Chicken Poke Bowl P1, super fresh and healthy the chicken was cooked perfect. Try this place out, you won't be sorry!

With all the work going on in the Polo Shoppes I didn't even realize that a new restaurant had opened up here. But when Cafe Lavie showed up on Yelp as my closest Pho spot, I was pleasantly surprised and wanted to check it out. This location has had some tough breaks over the few years. No less than 3 restaurants went out of business in the last few years and on top of it, Publix undertook a giant store and parking lot renovation, severely lowering foot traffic and visibility. The fact that Lavie opened up in this climate is impressive. Cafe Lavie has an outdoor seating option so we decided to sit outside and enjoy the breezy afternoon. Our waitress was helpful in getting us situated and came right out to give us menus and water. The menu has many variations of pho, Bahn mi, salads, appetizers, smoothies and bubble teas. I got a vegetable pho and split a chicken Bahn MI with one of my kids. The Pho broth was great. Very flavorful and the noodles were perfect as well. Really hit the spot and satisfied the Pho craving I had. I loved the Bahn Mi as well. The baguette was super fresh and the chicken, veg and sauce inside was delicious. Overall we were very pleased with the meal. I would definitely recommend Cafe Lavie and look forward to go back again soon.

The PH6. Pho chicken. Non-GMO ingredients and .

The food is absolutely amazing I come here at least once a week the food is non-GMO and also extremely filling would recommend to anyone.

    Lavie Cafe Slush
    Emmi A.

This sweet new gem tucked in the corner next to Publix of the shopping center was hidden due to all of the construction going on, but what they have completed so far is beautiful. We opted to sit indoors even though the covered patio with a view of a fountain and some fresh greenery was a vibe. The restaurant isn't fully setup yet as the owner stated she was still adding wall decor but absolutely love what they did to the floors and the space was bright and welcoming. The owner is from the Philadelphia area and where you will find some of the best Vietnamese food in the nation. Let me tell you, the food is legit! I started off with the coffee slush with boba. They didn't have the regular boba prepared but stated the crystal boba was better and she was right. The coffee slush was just perfectly balanced and the boba added a nice texture element. Hubby got the taro slush of course and he loved it. The owner mentioned that we had to try the vegan crispy roll, of course we had to oblige. I've not vegan but I might convert. They are pretty serious about their vegan specialties and even make sure the prep area is kept separated as to not cross contaminate. The roll itself I believe had mushrooms and mung beans. The filling was almost a creamy like texture which was unexpected compared to your typical protein fillings but so good. She also mentioned the udon was a must. My daughter got the udon which I took a sip of the broth and it brought me back to my childhood. It had a bit of a kick so be prepared for that, but it is a must try as the broth is so flavorful. Hubby ordered the special grilled meats special Banh mi but she brought out the cold cuts one instead. He's not typically a fan of Vietnamese cold cuts but he really enjoyed this one although still prefers the grilled meats. He kept raving about the bread all day. I guess we have our new Banh mi place. And the papaya salad with beef jerky omg!!! Cafe Lavie Vietnamese is definitely a welcomed addition to the area as there aren't too many authentic Vietnamese focused restaurants in the area that isn't pho. We look forward to our next visit so we can try all of the other items.

I got the beef brisket pho and I shared a side of crispy tofu. My daughter got the stir fried beef and rice. All the food was sensational! I absolutely loved their broth, it was piping hot and super flavorful. But hands down the crispy tofu has to be their best dish. They serve it right out of the fryer and add just a hint of salt and seasoning, it's so good! All in all, this is an easy 5 star rating. We were never given spoons for our pho (which, as a reminder, is soup), and no one checked on us afterward. After waiting for some time, I had to get up and retrieve spoons myself from the back bar area. We later ran out of water and, again, no one came by. I eventually found a half-full water pitcher sitting on the back counter and helped myself, as if I were part of the staff. Throughout our entire visit, our waitress was nowhere to be seen--except behind the counter continuously making boba drinks. After we finished eating, we waited again for the check, but no one came. I finally had to go to the front to pay, where I discovered that our waitress was also acting as the front clerk. I explained our experience at checkout and left no tip--something I don't do lightly, but service was essentially nonexistent. It honestly felt like she was completely disengaged from the dining room that night. The food itself was fine, but management seriously needs to limit dine-in seating based on staffing levels. There's no excuse for this level of inattention. With better front-of-house management, this place could do much better.

This time we ordered edamame, Wild Mushroom Chow Fun, braised short rib, wagyu potstickers, green tea, and for the kids the Vegetable Lo Mein Bowl. Everything was delicious, fresh, and came out really fast. A few small things disappointed us this visit. They changed the menu and removed my kids' favorite grilled cheese. It used to come on this amazing soft airy rice bread grilled to perfection, and now it's just a regular multigrain sandwich. The kids were genuinely upset since we always ordered it for them. My green tea was also served with water that didn't seem hot enough, and the foam on top was a little off-putting. I know green tea is brewed at a lower temperature, but this just didn't feel right. Also, the restroom used to have a beautiful chandelier, and now it looks like something happened to it -- only hanging wires are left, which takes away from the otherwise polished aesthetic. Still, KAPOW remains one of our favorite spots because the food is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is fun and stylish, and service is always quick.
