The shop had a cool zen feel with two small rope chairs to sit in while waiting for my boba. I liked the specials they offered and the small box of giant plastic straws was a nice touch. Unfortunately what you'll find on the west coast or NYC, you struggle to find at all in south Florida. Black Pearl could not have opened quick enough! A small little shop serving all types of boba and milk teas, buns, dim Sum, and deserts. Of the dozens of boba tea places I've visited, I can't ever recall seeing flavored tapioca on a menu. What's even more impressive is the price point! $5 for a large cup? Are we still Boca? Some of the places in San Francisco are simply perfection but this milk tea is one of the most satisfying ive ever had. I'd be willing to bet I probably won't find a better version in the entire county. Black Pearl fills a desperately empty void of quality boba tea options in the area. Emphasis on the word 'quality'. Was around the area and decided to try this boba spot. This place is literally right next to the beach! I think this place is convenient for people who need a quick pick me up! All of their milk teas seems to be made by powder so the texture is definitely different but it's was pretty good overall. The prices for the boba were pretty inexpensive as well. The 16oz is around $3 and the 24oz is around $4/5. Pretty decent for bubble milk teas and it comes with tapioca no extra charge. I also tried their red velvet cookies and it was okay.. not as fresh and a bit hard. I also liked how they had different options of quick bites such as dumplings, eggrolls and ramen. Customer service was pretty good. This place is a bit far from where I live but if I am ever in the area, I would try this place again! read more

I have been eying this place for a while now, anticipating the opening... While I was not initially impressed with their Boba Teas... I truly believe Sky made up for it and did a great service. I got two teas... Lavender & my favorite Taro. Both initially did not taste right. The Lavender took three times... the third time, Sky actually remade the tea and put two scoops in versus one scoop... I have a feeling they need to do that with all their Boba Teas, to prevent them from tasting like milky green tea (jasmine is the base I am told)... I will give this place another chance- only requesting two scoops instead of one scoop... to prevent the watery milky substance. They seem to have a great dumpling menu and unique ramen... Oh my god. I used to love this place, and it was a go-to place after the beach, and im so disappointed. My boba was hot, and the drink was room temperature, it's supposed to be cold... Their straws are smaller and you get less boba, which is smaller as well. It also tasted horrible. Only good boba there is brown sugar milk tea. The cups were dirty inside and out, and my friends drink had dead bugs in it. Got a refund, but only for the cup with the dead bugs. Do I recommend? No! read more

Great new Boba and Dim Sun place, located near the beach at the east end of Palmetto Park Road. I ordered their iced matcha boba tea and it was probably one of the better ones I have had. The quality of the matcha was excellent and the generous amount of boba was sweet and the texture was perfect. This place also serves very good dim sum. Although they have a variety of small dim sum available (10 for only $9.95!), I opted for a larger chicken bun. These are steamed fresh, and take about 10 minutes. The taste and texture was very good, but probably could used another minute or two to fully steam the center. Easy parking and access in the back of the building if street parking is not available. Mask is required to enter the premises and the employees were wearing masks as well. Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back! read more

Best I have had in Palm Beach County since I was introduced to it in college up in Gainesville. There are two entrances - one close to the street off Palmetto Park Road, where the beach-goers could pop in for a refreshing beverage; the second on is toward the back, where their parking is. I came in the back entrance and focused on the drink offerings - I wish I had taken a moment to look around prior to placing my order because items in their display case and on their menu board look amazing. Great hidden boba tea place in Delray Beach area. They have a variety of classic milk tea flavors as well as juices. They also serve some small dim sum and it was surprisingly good. The pricing is a bit confusing. It's 10 for $9.95 but the specialty dim sum listed, it's an additional 50 or 75 cents extra per item on top of the $9.95. We ordered 2 kimchi pork dumplings and 2 hao gao shrimp dumplings which were specialty. Then 2 shu mai and 4 pork leek dumplings to make up the rest of the 10 count. They were steamed nicely and tasted fresh. Doesn't have the frozen taste or consistency. We also tried a taro milk tea and a black milk tea. Both were not super sweet which is perfect for me. The black milk tea had rich tea flavor and the boba was sweet and perfectly chewy. The taro milk tea is ashy which is the way it should be to replicate the taro root. The inside has cute decor and a huge boba plushie for photo ops. read more

You should stop by and try the Dim Sum (dumplings) because it's the best I've ever had. You can receive an authentic Asian drink or some food for a very good price. There is parking in the lot behind the store so it's very convenient. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach, I enjoyed it very much and will be back.
