Fantastic dinner. Great to see the chef/owner popping out of the kitchen and speaking with guests. Half Peking Duck was so good... nice, lean and tender duck meat, crispy skin and the rest. I highly recommend the Pea Shoots with Garlic (Pea Tendrils). Black Bean Sauce with Shrimp Chow Fun also great. I have to say, this place has been very impressive of late. They also do special dishes and bring in products you don't often see in Florida. Live King Crab for example. Service from our waitress, Vivian, was excellent, efficient and personable. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Being that it is hard to find good Chinese food, we took a little drive to Boca to try this place. Very glad we did. First off, service was very good and the staff was very friendly. It is a cute restaurant with a good vibe inside . The food was was very tasty. Had a little bit of a different flavor profile than other Chinese restaurants, which made it actually quite good. To start we had their honey barbecue ribs, and pan fried dumplings . The ribs were super tender and had an outstanding flavor. The dumplings which I've never had before, like this which were served on a crêpe style thin pancake was excellent. For dinner, we had the beef and black bean sauce and their roast pork fried rice . Can honestly say amazing flavors and delicious food Definitely another return spot for not sure usual Chinese food with excellent flavors .

What a hidden little gem this was for me. I was glad I checked it out. From the outside this restaurant made an impression on me. It looked cool. I didn't know what cuisine this restaurant served when I first walked in and didn't care. I wanted to be surprised and I knew I was going to like it. Surprise, it's a Chinese restaurant and a good one. We started with the dumpling platter. They make all the dumplings in house, fresh. The platter was good. I ordered the half crispy duck. It was a house specialty. Omg that was good. It was one of the best ducks that I've had and so crispy. I would order this again. I got a side of pork fried rice. It was not for me. The Garlic Crabs was delicious and you choose your crab. The garlic sauce on top of the crab was unforgettable. It was that good. I loved the food. The restaurant is nice inside. It has a good ambiance going. I liked the decorations. The staff was phenomenal. The customer service was great. I had an enjoyable food experience.

This place needs to be advertised more. My husband and I are serious foodies and very picky. This underrated, authentic Hong Kong fare is the real deal. We love it so much we are going back again before we head back home to Chicago. Shout out to Vivian for carrying this restaurant with a warm welcome and great explanation of what to try. Im sorry we didnt catch the gentlemen servers name as he was great! Very nice decor!

From the moment you walk up the charming, lantern-lit pathway to Chili Crab, you know you're in for something special. The twinkling lights gently guide you toward an experience that feels like a hidden corner of Hong Kong right here in Boca Raton. Once inside, you're instantly transported--the decor is impeccable, striking the perfect balance between modern elegance and the cozy authenticity of a cha chaan teng or sai chaan teng. It's clear that every detail, from the textures & art on the walls to the warm, inviting lighting, was thoughtfully curated. The bilingual menu--presented in both English and Chinese--is a wonderful touch that adds to the cultural richness of the experience. We started our evening with the Fiji Apple Martini and the Lychee Martini. Both were deliciously balanced and not strong--a great start to the meal. Appetizers included the crispy, golden scallion pancakes, flavorful lobster dumplings, and soup dumplings. The broth alone is 5 stars!! Each dish was expertly prepared and packed with authentic flavor. For our main course, we ordered the iconic Peking Duck (half), served with delicate pancakes. One of the highlights of the evening was watching the duck expertly carved on a cutting board--an artful presentation that added a touch of ceremony to the meal. We also shared a plate of roasted pork fried rice, which was rich and satisfying. (The only thing I'd tweak would be to have the onions chopped a bit finer for better texture.) To top off the meal, we indulged in the candied banana with vanilla ice cream--a perfect combination of warm, crispy sweetness and cool, creamy smoothness. Throughout the meal, the service was attentive and genuine. The owner personally came out from the kitchen to check on us, which added such a warm and welcoming touch. I believe his son may have been tending bar--either way, it's clear that this is a family-run establishment where pride and passion shine through. The presence of a live seafood tank, showcasing fresh crabs and other seafood, is another sign of the restaurant's commitment to quality and freshness. All in all, this was a five-out-of-five-star experience. We'll absolutely be returning--and bringing friends next time. Chili Crab is a true gem in Boca Raton, offering not just a meal, but a memorable culinary journey.

We had a great dinner at Chili Crab in Boca Raton with some close friends. We had the Peking Duck Sliders, which were absolutely delicious, the duck was crispy with just the right balance of hoisin sauce and soft bao buns. We also had the Beef Chow Fun, which the beef was tender, perfectly cooked noodles. The Singapore Rice Noodles were light yet packed with flavor, just the right amount of curry spice. The Sichuan Spicy Lamb Chop was also tender and had great flavor. This definitely a place for family and friends to come check out.

The duck is absolutely amazing here. Would definitely recommend. Skin was crispy and the duck was very good. Came with fried rice which was ok.

    1. Had no idea it was a Chinese place 2. Amazed it had authentic Hong Kong/ Chinese food 3. Service by Vivian and Vincent was AMAZING!! Why have I never heard of this place and their amazing food.. 4. If you have driven by thinking it is some "new" crab place, its not. It is authentic Hong Kong/ Chinese cuisine... I am not a Chinese food lover so for this to aspire me to write a review, it has to be amazing,!!! Totally recommend this place.. Love you Vivian!!

It took a very good friend who recently retired to Delray Beach from NY to introduce us to Chili Crab. And am I glad that he raved about how good the food was and made sure that I understood it was not typical Chinese food! And it is anything but typical. First, don't be misled by the name/ Chili Crab. Yes, they do have fresh crabs in a tank, along with fresh live lobster. But they have so much more. So much, that I betcha you'll be coming back after the first time to check more dinner items. So when we entered on a weekday around 5:30, it was empty. We were greeted at the door by Hailey, who advised that we could pick any table. And we did. A couple minutes later our friends Rob and Stef arriveď, excited to see us (as they should be, cause Max creates excitement wherever he goes) Rob quickly ordered a large hot sake and Stef and I shared bottled of large sparkling water at $6. It was icy cold. And with lots of gas. I mention this cause a lot of places don't have their water cold or bubbly and charge too much ($9). Rob started to recommend menu items as he had eaten here before. And we happily accepted all of his recommendations. He also said we shouldn't order too much because the portions were large. Rob is somewhat of an expert on Chinese food, as well as many other foods. His parents immigrated to the USA from Great Britain more than 70 years ago, and they had been engaged in fine food dining and had gained quite a reputation for themselves, especially Rob's Mom Pearl, but that's for another review. So allow me to list what we ordered and how we reacted to each selection. We had appetizers of COCONUT SHRIMP ($16) and CILANTRO SHRIMP DUMPLING ($11). The shrimp was breaded and fried but not greasy. I could have eaten 5 or 6, they are real good. The cilantro shrimp dumpling had a distinct taste and was packed with shrimp. Another excellent choice. Note,!dumplings are a specialty here and you will not be disappointed in eating any of them. We then had CHICKEN GYOZA ($9) and it was prepared unlike any other gyoza that I've tasted. It was wrapped in a very thin pancake, almost cellophane quality. Just. Get. It. You'll. See. How. Delicious. It is. We then had CANTONESE BARBECUE RIBS WITH YUZO HONEY. I found them to be delicious, huge in size, and the honey glazing a distinctive taste. Some at the table thought they were too sweet and also complained that their hands got real dirty as there was no way to eat them other than to pick them up in your hands. I thought they were whiners. Hailey our server gave us each those tiny napkins in a pouch which you use to clean your hands. I hate those things / they are always too wet or too dry, and stink, and one does not fill the need. Recommendation to management is to provide a hot steaming mini washcloth, which would be a nice touch and fit into the higher class feel the owner is creating. Yes, it would be an extra expense for him, but he should take note of my advice. More than 60 years experience in outreach and marketing has provided me with insights into what makes for a successful or failing business which are priceless. And I offer this advice without any fee expectation. We proceed with entrees and had KUNG PO CHICKEN ($25). It was a decent sized serving and tasty but we thought it had way too many cashews than needed. We left most of them behind as they should really provide a distinct taste and crunch and not overwhelm the dish. We then had MALA BEEF PRIME TENDERLOIN ($40) which Hailey had warned us would be very spicy. Rob engaged her in a philosophical discussion on degrees of "heat", as he had the dish before and did not find it hot. She insisted it was and that most people said it was. He insisted it was not. Well we ordered it cause he wanted it. It wasn't too hot at all but I didn't like it cause the beef was tough and I didn't find it to be awesome. We had GAI LAN IN GINGER SAUCE($15) and it was good but you need to have an acquired taste for it as it is mushy and some don't like that mushy taste. Instead of rice we had VEGETARIAN SHANGHAI NOODLE ($14) and it was incredibly good. But I wasn't able to eat as much as I wanted as my husband dogged it. He quietly scooped it onto his plate as others were eating the other items. I'm happy for him as he didn't like the ribs, the gai lan was too much and he doesn't eat meat. So at least let the guy have his noodles! They have a full bar with lots of wine and fancy drinks. Hailey was an excellent server, When leaving we saw blackboard with specials and that she had not said anything about specials. We also met chef and owner ALLEN (I am certain he was not born with that name) who stopped by our table and introduced himself and thanked us for coming. He also recommended we get the roast DUCK next time, one of the specials of the house. Several people in that night ordered it and the pics on line show it as awesome. So, yelpers, check them out. You'll be pleased. .

They offer dim sum, so we had some roast pork buns as appetizers. The buns had very little filling and the bread was a bit dry, as if the buns had been sitting in the warmer for awhile. (They are displayed in a warmer as you enter the restaurant.) There is no lunch menu on weekends, so we ordered from the regular menu. Prices averaged $17 to $20 per entree with seafood options averaging $23-$25. All meals are served with white rice. There are no options to switch to fried rice, unless you want to order it as an entree. My friend loves orange chicken, so that's what she ordered. Since the eatery is touted for its roast duck and roast pork, I ordered the latter. We shared both. The pork was a bit salty and a tad dry. And it needed more of it's glaze. Though I am not a fan of orange chicken, this was one of the best I have had. It was sweet, but not overly done. And the coating was light and crispy. The portions were large. We both ate and took home leftovers for our husbands. Service was spotty and rushed with only two people taking care of all the tables. I never got a straw for my glass of water, and it took a few requests to get chopsticks. One appetizer, two entrees, tax, and tip was about $57.
