We were overdue to return here. We didn't realize how long it had been. When we didn't see the usual owners, we asked and were told it's almost been a year since the restaurant had been sold. The one gal was by herself when we first got there. She took our order and made our food. There have been some changes -- new furniture; new paint; lots of photographs; the soda machine and cooler have been moved and there are more tables and chairs. Plus there was a specials board with different food options. We came for roast pork Bahn mi sandwiches so that's what we ordered. The sandwiches were piled high with meat, but the pork was thicker and drier and not seasoned the same. We added hoisin sauce liberally. The crusty French bread was the same, however. I walked in with a smile and approached the counter to ask a simple question about the ingredients in the pho specifically whether real palm sugar and Thai basil were used. The staff member responded by saying, "Why would I tell you?" and then walked to the back. Unfortunately, no one returned to assist me and I was never served. I'm not sure why the question caused any issue, but the experience felt unwelcoming and the customer service was disappointing. Restaurants are part of the hospitality industry, and being approachable and respectful with customers is important. Owner is so lovely and has regulars who love coming back and checking on her. She is really happy and loves making delicious food for everyone. I first found this place before she took over and the prior owners made a wonderful meal as well. They made the right choice transferring the biz to her. The new kid working the tables did an outstanding job! He explained the menu completely, made recommendations, was super polite, and was smartly attentive. The bahn mi sandwich I bought was the best I've had in palm beach hands down. The milk tea Thai tea with boba was not overly sweet like most. The Vietnamese iced Coffee was not overly sweet either. Both were amazing. Most places make them sickeningly sweet. These were perfect. I'll dream about this sandwich until I have another. This small unassuming spot is bursting at the seams with flavor. The staff was so nice and welcoming - I truly felt at home as soon as we sat down. I tried salted coffee for the first time, and I became an instant fan. I love a salty and sweet combination of flavors, and of course Vietnamese coffee, but never knew that all three existed in a drink, and that it could be so rich, silky, and delicious. Spring rolls are always a must when I eat Vietnamese food, and these did not dissapoint - meaty, herbacious, chewy, and perfectly accompanied by a thick delicious peanut sauce. I really couldn't decide on what I wanted to eat as my main - bahn mi? vermicelli? pho? They all looked and smelled delicious. I settle on a beef pho, and I don't know what it was about the broth, but it had a much deeper flavor that other places that I've been to. I think it's a fantastic dish that's good on any day, but it was rainy when I visited, which made it even more heavenly and comforting. I'm so glad I tried this little mom and pop gem! I met a GF there for lunch. It was both our first time there. My first impression is the owner is very friendly & warm. There are only a few tables in this small space. They probably do mostly takeout. It was clean from my POV. It's located in a very unassuming small strip mall next to the Asian market. I ordered the barbecue pork rice plate. My friend and I split the shrimp spring roll as an appetizer. She had the shrimp noodle pan fried and it looked delicious. Lots of shrimp and vegetables, I liked that they didn't make it too saucy. The ice salt coffee with grass jelly was my favorite! I also ordered the Vietnamese pork sandwich to go for my husband. Did a take out order of banh mi's and noodles and fried spring rolls. This place is truly a hidden gem. All the food was amazing. The fried spring rolls were still crispy after like an hour after pickup even though it was wrapped with plastic wrap. The service was quick. Called in 20 min ahead for pickup and order was ready when we arrived. I wouldn't really take this as a sit down place but they have chairs and tables if you want. I've been coming here for a while. Small shop owned by a lovely couple. They are super friendly. Restaurant is not fancy by any means. It's a normal small restaurant with a few table and chairs. Tu Do Deli is a gem!! Split right in the middle of a strip of Plaza stores, you initially walk in and it seems very take-out-ish. No frills, no ambiance. No one was there around 1145am. We tried this place for the 1st time, but the reviews brought us in. We sat down and ordered within 5 mins. Decided to go to the Asian Market after our order as we waited. When we got back 10 mins later, the place was packed!!!! Every table taken for lunch on a Sunday. The food came out, fresh and delicious. All the flavors and everything got gobbled up within 10 mins. You won't be impressed looking at the place from the outside. You probably won't be impressed first walking inside. You will be very impressed with what you will order. I've had pho dozens of time at high end Vietnamese restaurants. The pho at Tu Do Deli is by far the best I ever had. I have begged the sweet lady behind the counter to teach me but she kindly refuses and won't budge. When you think it can't be better, try the grilled beef or special banh mi. My favorite sandwich is no longer a sausage and pepper on a hard roll (sorry grandpa) it's the beef banh mi from Tu Do Deli. There is a problem. While traveling to Palm Beach, we found this gem from Yelp. I ordered the "dry egg noodles" (N5 on the menu). This means that the noodles is served separately from the broth for those who are not familiar with the description. The egg noodles are cooked al dente. The flavor has a good balance of hint of sweetness and saltiness. The bowl came with an assortment of seafood, ground meet, bean sprouts, prawn chip/cake (homemade) and scallions. The broth is clear and garlicky. At the first bite, the flavor brought me back to my childhood days, reminiscing the noodles my grandma made. This dish tasted exactly like what my grandma made. We chatted with the business owner/cook. She said she had experimented numerous times to come up with the right balance to make the dish to match with her hometown cooking. She is right on target. It is definitely my comfort food. I wished we had more time at Palm Beach, I don't mind driving twenty minutes to this place. The rest of the family ordered bun (cold vermicelli) and rice dish. New paint color, new owners, who say, "yeah, new owners, but same menu", sure, same menu with $2 extra added to every item. When we realized our favorite Vietnamese restaurant closed forever, my mom and I needed a new option. After reading the mostly great reviews, we decided to give Tu Do a go, and man am I glad we did. Don't let the strip store exterior fool you. Once inside you'll be greeted by warm lighting, clean comfortable seating, and strangely enough, Brazilian cover versions of your favorite 80s songs. Of course none of this would matter if the food wasn't good. Thankfully, this was not the case. Everything we ordered, was fresh and delicious. The portions were great, too. But the cool vibe and delicious food pales in comparison to the real reason to visit. The owner, Patty. Patty came out of the kitchen to check on us and introduce herself. Her kindness and sense of humor almost immediately had me looking forward to our next visit. She was as warm and welcoming as the decor, and made our visit to this unassuming little strip mall restaurant feel special. We told them we've never had Vietnamese food and they made a sander and a Pho (pronounced "fa") We ordered 1 of each and split it. Both were delicious. Little flavor explosions in your mouth for each. They are right next to an Asian market too. I found this place on Yelp based on the food pictures and distance from the school. Today is my third day coming for some delicious lunch. On the first day, I had a sandwich; on the second, soup; and today, dry noodles. I can't tell you which one I like more. You can randomly pick something from the menu, and within minutes, you'll have something delicious in front of you. They are beyond friendly and very attentive. Looks like there's a new Vietnamese restaurant in town! Tu Do Deli is located right next door to the Asian market in a small strip mall on Lantana and military trail. The owners were very friendly and gave us complimentary water bottles to go with our order. The place is bright, clean and freshly painted over from the Chinese restaurant that they replaced. The menu has banh mi sandwiches, a couple rice dishes, bún, and pho/noodle soups available as well as boba tea. We ordered the house special and grilled pork banh mi, house special pho, the beef pho, and bún with egg roll. Standout was the house special banh mi although both were fresh and delicious. Served on a crispy French baguette with fresh toppings and a variety of meats (pate, jambon, and pork). It served as our appetizer as their menu didn't have an appetizer section. The pho broth had good flavor and a sizable portion for a great price. We ordered matcha boba milk tea for "dessert" and the boba was perfectly soft with good matcha flavor. So excited that this place opened up right around the corner from home, I will come back! Come support this local business that's only been open 2 months. read more

I'm glad I came to try Tu Do Deli. This use to be the Chinese takeout restaurant so it's quite small. Probably around 4-5 tables, not ideal for large groups. The establishment was clean and the waitress was super helpful and friendly. Their pho is excellent, the broth has great flavor and they were generous with the meat. I'm usually not a fan of bahn mi sandwiches but this place does a fantastic job. This place has made it on my rotation list of pho places for sure. read more
