Oh my geeee! I have heard about Pinecrest from other people and how great it is. This location is right in the middle of Greenacres and foresee it doing very well. It was busy when we went in on a Saturday evening. There is a menu of pastries, sandwiches, beverages, cakes, and other goodness. The cakes looked scrumptious and I'm sure you can special order one by request. We got a variety of pastries to try there and bring home. Everything is very good! The guava pastry is one of my favorites. The staff assisted us and packaged our items in sealed boxes. I'm already planning to go get some Thanksgiving treats and other visits in the future for a quick Cuban or sweet fix. read more

I honestly don't know what I can say that is good about this place except it was clean. That's why I'm at least giving it two stars. Food: empanadas and cake slices. They were both different kinds of cheese cake, hard as a rock. The empanadas were so dry, even though apparently one just came from the back. The experience I had here is one to tell others about for sure. I walked grabbed a ticket, one person ahead of me one just walked behind me. My husband looked at the hot case I looked at the dessert cases. I staff was on the other side of the store yelling who is next and I responded. She then yelled again, I responded. Then she came over. I asked her what some items were and she got all pissy, walked around the counter and told me. A lot of the cold isn't labeled. (Problem) Once I picked two items I said my husband is over there for more. She went to him. Gave him attitude and walked away. ??? No idea why. She was gone about 3 mins only to come back with an empanada. She could have said that's why she left. Then as seen in the photos, she gave me my cakes in a box that was open. It's great to have an authentic Cuban Bakery right here in Greenacres! Growing up in Hialeah, my tastes and cravings were shaped by Cuban cuisine. A bright and shiny interior with friendly staff and a number system to facilitate ordering during rushes. Lots of goodies to choose from... I chose my standard Guava and Cheese pastry with a Colada, (small cup of concentrated coffee). Both were delicious! Open 24 hours!! That means you too can get a delicious carrot cake slice, a key lime tart or a pineapple upside down cake whenever you'd like! A friend of mine has been encouraging me to come check out this bakery and I'm so glad we did. The space is clean and has enough seating to accommodate about 20 dine in patrons. Lots of orders were coming in as take out and it was moving at a pretty quick pace. I really liked that all of the desserts were in a glass enclosure that kept them fresh but also made seeing which treat you'd have today a bit easier. I did see that they serve food food so I'm looking forward to coming back to give those a try! read more

It's been hit or miss for me. I got the bowl and it was so salty. Beef empanadas were good. I also tried the Cuban sandwich which was really good. My bf got the chicken salad he said it was good. It has raisins in it if you like that . Great that they are open 24/7 read more

This franchise/chain just recently opened here. Started in Miami with over a dozen of mainly Dade County locations, they are expanding. I think this is the second location in Palm Beach County. The location was a former sub shop. It's located on the east side of Jog Road just north of Melaleuca Lane (S 6th). There's parking around the building. We had driven by, saw the "now open" sign and decided to stop in and check them out. We'd had lunch, so we decided to try something for dessert. It's called a bakery, but it's pretty much a little bit of everything Cuban. Different coffees, breakfast, sandwiches, bowls, pastries, cakes, desserts, juices, plus they do catering and party platters. We were surprised to see they were quite busy on a Monday afternoon. We took a number from the machine and waited to be called. Meanwhile, we browsed the pastry cases to decide what we wanted to have. My husband got a guava and cream cheese pastelito pastry. It was so flaky. He said it was very good. And he got a small coffee to go with it. I got a slice of carrot cake. It was so cutely decorated with a mini carrot on top. The carrot cake was moist and the white icing on top and between the layers perfectly sweet. I saved half for a later treat. We look forward to trying their Cuban breakfasts or even a media noche sandwich. They are a welcome addition to the area. read more

This just opened and I was excited. I pass by everyday going to work. Well today was the day. I wanted to bring some treats into the office. The place is new, clean well stocked with what looks like yummy pastries, cakes, sandwiches and my beloved coffee They have a sign that tells you to take a number, which i did. Well none of this took place After 2 customers ordered and received their goods. I was left standing there. There were 5 people by the coffee machine 2 making sandwiches 3 or 4 others standing around NOT ONE PERSON ACKNOWLEDGED ME. Not..we will be right with you..nothing! Everyone spoke Spanish so I wounder if due to the fact I did not look like I spoke Spanish Noone helped me. After about 3- minutes I left empty handed. Lovely stop for Cuban delicacy treats such as pasties, cakes, sandwiches and side servings for party platters and stand alone. Learned recently that you can purchase for party catering as well . Enjoyed a croqueta ham with a cafe con leche iced and it made me smile enthusiastically at the company of a friend who enjoyed the bites and sips. At the counter service is quick and you can order for take out or even drive thru at this location. The space is either packed or passing through I have seen it many times full house through parking lot, was happy we came on a lighter day and could sit calmly . Been coming here since opened, staff was friendly at first but the night staffs attitude went south fast. Placed an Order for a bowl one night , 10 mins later they started making the food, fine whatever, and later they informed me they had no rice, and it would take 35 mins? So to them my only option was to take the sandwich version of it, I asked for some kind of compensation for the inconvenience and was denied, not even the cheapest pastry, even for a customer that comes as often as me?. Keep in mind the order was placed 10 mins ago so I should have been have the food and left. I couldn't believe this place. I went there about 10:30 on a Saturday night and there was like 5 or six people working there. And I stood by the cakes in the counter, and nobody took my order, or nobody greeted me. Nobody said hello I just stood there for like over 10 minutes. I finally said to somebody, will somebody please greet me and take my order. And they just continued washing kitchen components and like ignoring me. Best ham croquette I've had in a very long time! And the Frita (a Cuban-style burger made with a mix of beef and chorizo) was maybe the best I've ever had. I tried Pinecrest Bakery for the first time, The cake presentation was pretty impressive but the taste of the bakery is beyond disappointed. I tried the tiramisu, mango chocolate, copa creme Catalana, chocolate cake and an empanada de ropa vieja which total of $29 which is pretty expensive considering the cakes are sample sizes. The cakes tasted like i was eating cardboard, no taste at all; i couldn't believe it. The employees were rude and had a bad attitude almost felt like i was bothering them when i asked about the cakes. I really had higher expectations for this place. I will NOT be going to this place again, or any of their locations. read more

I love their pan con bistec sandwich (I've had it 3 times already) and they didn't give me any problem when I waited with my emotional support dog. The food is usually good and the desserts as well as the pastries. The only issue I have is whenever I order something to go especially the Cuban sandwiches. I get the bread, a pork very little and ham they neglect to put the condiments on or the pickle, even though they ask you if you want it with everything on it and we say yes, but this is the third time this has happened. I purchased a cold coffee and a hot Cafe con Leche and both were tasteless and not sweet. I also had two desserts that tasted like refrigerator and I also had a beef empanada that was tasteful but contained to much oil it needed to be drained just like the yuca rellena. The empanada also splatter oil on my shirt when I bit into it causing the shirt to be ruined. The beef and ropa vieja had very flavored meat, recommended it. read more
