I read some of the 1star reviews and they're wrong. The owner who I've know since they opened us filked with European hospitality. Very accommodating and friendly. The coffee is EXCELLENT! I've had numerous desserts and breads and they are outstanding. Today my wife picked up Stuffed Eggplant. I had it for dinner and it's delicious and very filling. Really tasty . This quaint husband-and wife bakery is worth visiting. We enjoyed pastries and tea at a small table outside this week, and took home a margarita flatbread for dinner. Everything was exceptional. It's not inexpensive but this level of quality simply can't be done cheaply. The blackberry pastry had $3 worth of blackberries before the laminated dough was ever rolled out. I stopped in to pick up something for lunch and wow! Why has it taken me so long to find this gem in Lake Worth Beach? I opted to get a meat Burek to go. It is a ground beef and onion delight in pastry. I followed the helpful instructions of the man working behind the counter and heated it for 5 minutes at 375 degrees when I got home. Sensational! I did not know that they had tables inside the bakery. There were a few people enjoying their meals. I'll eat in next time since it looks like such a pleasant place to sit. My boyfriend and I saw outside on their tables looking at the menu before we went inside and the owner is this old angry lady that came out and asked us to leave if we were not going to be ordering so she could sit and smoke a cigarette outside. I was surprised by how good this small and quirky bakery was and I really liked every item I tried. When I first walked in I noticed several openly displayed pastries on a small customer accessible table and I'm not sure that's the best way to showcase the goods but I was okay with that. Una Bakery offers an eclectic mix of baked items and I purchased many from a breakfast pastry to small cakes and each was excellent and the owner/baker knows how to bring out flavors. A small chocolate cake had different types of chocolate and they melded nicely with distinct flavors and this could have been sugar or chocolate overkill but it was actually deceptively light and perfect. A breakfast item looked heavy but was also light and I think there was rosemary in it and the flavors were addictive. A Raspberry Cake slice featured cut up fresh raspberries in the frosting and sometimes desserts look better than they taste but this like everything I tried not only looked great but had the taste to match. This was one of the best bakeries I have tried in South Florida. read more

After seeing some delicious looking pastries in photos posted by CM, Melodie M., I had bookmarked this location for a future visit. We were in the area and needing lunch and I remembered saying to myself I had to check this place out. We are so glad that we did. There was easy street parking right outside on a Sunday afternoon. (They are closed on Mondays, btw). So that helped. There were a few folks dining outside, but we decided to head inside and look around. There were two gals making mmmm sounds over their huge lunches and telling us how great the food was (!), and that was our introduction. We were greeted warmly by the owner and later got a chance to chat with his wife, as well. She does the baking. Armin and Azra are from Bosnia and Croatia. They couldn't be a nicer more welcoming (and talented) couple. We browsed the menu and decided what to order. We knew we would be having leftovers to take home based on everyone's comments about the portion sizes, but that was fine with us. My husband ordered their smoked meat charcuterie and I got their meat burek. You can tell by the photos the portion sizes. Wow! My husband's charcuterie had all sorts of delightful bites from fresh and dried figs to two types of nuts --hazelnuts and pistachios; gouda cheese, a smoked beef that reminded me of pastrami or prosciutto but a tad stronger, and lots of fruit. Plus, a stack of toasts made from a sliced croissant. It was beautiful as well as delicious. My beef burek came out hot from the oven. The pastry was light and flaky. I ate half and took the other half home for later. The burek came with a side salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, red onions, olives, and scallions. Everything was so good. We were too full for dessert but had to ask what was in the case today. There were a number of different types of individual cheesecakes -- some with white chocolate and some with dark chocolate; and an opera cake (which had my name on it if I could have eaten another crumb). She makes different pastries all the time. It will soon be some pumpkin and banana ones; I'm hoping to try her carrot cake some time in the future. The sour dough bread also caught my eye. They even have a couple gluten free options. We will definitely be back-- for some coffee and one of their pastries, at least. But it's the kind of local haunt you could make your home and visit often and still enjoy something different each time or indulge in a favorite once you have settled on one. We hope they will be so successful that they are here for a very long time. read more

Una Bakery in Lake Worth Florida is an awesome bakery. All the breads and pastries are all homemade with ingredients from both Italy and Croatia. The Owner Armin is so nice and very helpful. His wife Azra is an amazing baker as can be seen by all her amazing breads, focaccia and pastries. Everything we tried was excellent. We took home a Focaccia , a Pear Tart and the Cinnamon Bun which were all absolutely delicious. The place is quaint and offers indoor seating to enjoy a pastry and a coffee. My wife had seen some tantalizing Pastry Photos put up by our YELP Community Manager, Melodie M, and since we were in the area she guided us to Una, as she had bookmarked, for our lunch destination. We noticed several people dining outside as we approached and went inside. The inside is beautiful, well lighted and welcoming. The owners Armin and Azra greeted us and allowed us to sit and look over their offerings. We later learned that they are from Bosnia and Croatia and incorporate their charming culture in the creation of some very delicious food. I chose the Smoked Meat Charcuterie (Individual) which consisted of Smoked Beef, sausage, Gouda cheese and goat cheese, figs, walnuts and fresh fruit. When the Huge Charcuterie board arrived, I didn't want to disturb this artistic arrangement of delights and took a few moments to savor the delicious smells and decide which to put in my mouth first! Armin and Azra are very talented in their food preparation and have the warm personalities to make you feel like family or at least like neighbors sharing good times. We were down in LWB for breakfast and saw this as we were leaving. So glad we stopped in. There was a man sitting at a table outside eating what I now know was a "meat burek " which was ground meat (I am not sure if it was beef or lamb) inside of rolled dough. It was very good. But I found it a bit bland but still very good. Just not spicy, sweet , salty etc. I would definitely like to try the spinach one next time. The man sitting outside happened to be the owner and he followed us into the bakery. He went behind the counter, and he explained in detail what each item was, and what the ingredients were. Absolutely everything looks delicious and we cannot make a decision. We asked him to pick out two pastries/dessert items and we wanted to try the meat burek as a third item.. He chose a hazelnut desert that was layered bottom was like a cake, middle was like a mousse, top was like a thick layer of chocolate. Amazingly delicious and the mixture of textures was a nice contrast on the tongue and a perfect amount of sweetness. The 3rd item was I believe a flourless chocolate cake maybe. Not sure exactly what it was but it was a nice mixture of a fudge / cake texture. Deliciously chocolate-y without it being overload. Very nice unique / different type of pastries. Their cinnamon buns looked amazing. We will be back for them for sure. The only recommendation I would like for them to consider is adding a couple more tables and chairs outside and up against the wall area. There was only one table in the middle of the entrance walkway that the owners sat at. Would have been nice to have outdoor seating as an option. read more

They have pasties (savory and sweet), homemade breads, and other delicious baked goods. The blueberry loaf was filled with juicy blueberries. Service was horrible, owner was extremely rude to her customers. This is not a place I or anyone I know would support. I sat down outside on the chairs to look at the menu and this old lady came out asking me to leave if I was not purchasing anything. But how would she know that? She could have politely asked me to get up but the way she said it was insanely rude and condescending. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. I was honestly shocked when she said she was the owner, as I would NEVER talk down to potential customers or people in general like that. I have sat down at other restaurants outside and have never had this issue before, as an owner you should be warm and inviting. Left this place feeling extremely uncomfortable by the owners actions. It was like a thin crispy calzone with a buttery doughy inside filled with spinach and feta! If that wasn't enough, we were welcomed by a stench of sewer water and cigarette smoke, as it was clear by the as ash tray and half smoked cigarette and lighter on the counter that as we were waiting for the doors to open, the owner was enjoying a cigarette. Reluctantly, I purchased a cinnamon roll and one loaf of bread which totaled to a little more than $23. There weren't any prices marked for any of the baked goods, and I was refused an itemized receipt when requested. The cinnamon roll was stale, and the frosting tasted sour.
