Many of the positive reviews appear to be from friends of the owners rather than genuine customer experiences. While the baked goods are decent, this is easily one of the most poorly managed places I've visited. The staff seemed untrained and disorganized. Service was slow, multiple orders (including mine) were incorrect, and there was no apology or effort to make it right. The space itself felt dirty and chaotic, which only added to the overall experience. The pricing is also hard to justify -- $50 for a dozen pastries in Wellington is excessive, especially when better quality and significantly better service can be found for less. Anna and her team do an amazing job of curating delicious sweet and savory treats. There are always some items that are staples and rarely leave the menu, while others are seasonal items rotated during the year. My favorite of the season items is the pizza danish! With the chicken pot pie hand pie quickly becoming a second favorite! Everything is delicious, fresh, and we enjoy coming and trying out the new menu items each month. The storefront is combined with a coffee shop called Cumbres and it is very cozy. A lot of people often come to get coffee, a baked good, and to get some work done on the couches or the tables, either indoor or outdoors. We were in the area eating breakfast and found a fairly new bakery right next door. Of course my daughter saw a sprinkle cupcake and was game over for me. We were celebrating a friends birthday and she loves this bakery. I happened to be driving nearby so I placed an online order for a dozen birthday batter cupcakes. The bakery was in a decent plaza and had a nice selection of baked goods. We did not get any coffee or spend any extra time there since I was on my way down south for another event, but it seemed to have a great welcoming vibe. The cupcakes were a little pricey (about $4 each) but they were delicious. The filling was more like a pudding and the icing was very sweet. I've been wanting to stop by now that there is an actual store. I've had the coffee at swank farmers market but I haven't had any of the bakery items. It's a cute coffee shop. The employees were super friendly. I tried the dirty pumpkin chai and the pumpkin loaf. Both were amazing. Im a pumpkin girl and if im in the area I'd definitely come back. I met a friend who was visiting from TX last Sunday afternoon in the late afternoon - just shy of 2PM. We met up at Anna Bakes because I've always wanted to try it being my daughter raves about this place. Her recommendation was on point. They close at 3PM on Sundays but still had a decent amount of food options available when we arrived. We both ordered coffee. I opted for my usual, a cold brew with pumpkin flavored cold foam and cinnamon dusted on top. It was delicious! Neither of us were famished but needed to eat something so we ordered a feta pesto danish and each had a couple of bites. Note: this danish is flat and reheats very well in the air fryer. We sat outside and enjoyed quality time catching up on life and enjoying our coffees. The inside of this venue is very cozy featuring couches and coffee tables making it a great place to enjoy breakfast or lunch solo, as a family, or with coworkers and friends. We had their quiche lorraine and chicken salad wrap, along with a smores brownie and a chocolate cookie. For drinks, we had a mango smoothie and a hot chai. Service was lovely - we were greeted coming in and they made sure our food was customized as we liked it (warm vs not, appropriate milk choice, etc.) Food came out within 5-10 minutes. Chai was good and creamy, although I like mine with a touch more spice. We really enjoyed the smores brownie - it's too often done with too much chocolate and sweetness, but this was just right with a blonde batter that reminded us of marshmallows. Definitely our favorite part, and we would order the quiche, cookie, and wrap again. My friend brought me here while visiting the area. The shop is super cute and clean. The staff is very friendly too. Both days we interacted with different staff and they were all great. This shop is the cutest ever- I LOVE the design, the paintings on the walls, the hip furniture- even the shelves of gifts and the kids toys are cute. Clearly this place was made with love and is reflected in its thoughtful design. I was already happy the moment I peered in the shop. I have been wanting to come here for so long since I began watching Anna's weekly baked goods boxes of amazingness. Then, to partner with local coffee AND make a great space = win win win! I did order a birthday cupcake with sprinkles and filling and it was AMAZING. Some of the best bites I have EVER had. I loved it. I would try any baked good again in a heartbeat! Thank you for social media. When I saw a shared post of her pastries a few months ago, I was hooked. She creates a different themed pastry box every couple weeks or so. Maybe once a week if she's feeling extra creative. There are some items that are available to order through her website Annabakesfl.com all year round. If you like her FB page, it includes previews of upcoming goodies she loves to spoils all of us with. Every single thing we have got have been so delicious. A lot of love comes from the woman herself who makes it happen. It's really simple to order through the website and the pickup is usually on a Sunday morning unless it's a higher demand for a holiday, which allows for more baking and more pickup times :) The three boxes we have gotten from her so far have been gone within a couple of days. One was a pumpkin themed box with cookies, bars, and cupcakes. Another one was the holiday box and the Florida box, which both had a lot of a variety of pastries for us to enjoy. Anna Bakes is a single person pop up bakery run by Anna Ross. I found out about her through a friend who brought one of her curated boxes to a lunch date. That week it was pumpkin themed with spice cupcakes, bars. and cookies. I don't even like pumpkin but after one bite of the cupcake I was moaning OMG. It tasted just what you would think fall would taste like if it were a flavor. I longed to know more about this baker who is in young in years (24) but not short on talent. New to me it turns out she is well known in the West Palm Beach county community. Anna has been baking since the age of 15 and has previously worked at Aiolo at the Breakers and under another favorite of mine, Zak the Baker. She started her business by selling her baked goods on Instagram. Now box orders can sell out within hours. Every week Anna creates a new curated box. This weeks box was a highly requested repeat themed around s'mores and included cupcakes, bars, and whoopie pies. The Halloween box was so adorable and I'm really sorry I missed out on that one with it's bloody cupcakes and gravestone brownies. You can order your box on Monday and pictures of the box are posted to Instagram on Tuesday. Boxes are $35 and you used to order through Instagram. Now you order through the website Anna just launched a few days ago, annabakesfl. com. You get a confirmation and then you pick up at Anna's house in Lake Worth on Sunday morning. In addition to the weekly boxes, Anna also sells a year round birthday box and a gender reveal box. After tasting my first bite I became a rabid fan. I hesitate to spread the word because I don't want to make it even harder to get a box but this girl needs to be known. I want her to have all the success in the world she deserves and to open her own bakery. WOW - last week Anna prepared a pistachio-filled strawberry-glazed brioche donut, the first such offering out of her new space... and it is one of the best donuts I've had in my entire life. On the one hand, it struck a balance between fluffy and chewy; not too sweet, the filling was amazingly light and smooth... And on the other hand, a fried yeasty brioche apparently is a PERFECT match for the cold-brew coffee which Candid is roasting & brewing. The acidity was matched & rounded out, while some smooth, sweet, crazy, nutty, roasted notes came to the front - something akin to a wine-tasting experience My mouth is happy! read more

I have officially been to Anna bakes at least 4 times now and I can confidently say it has become one of my favorite bakeries of all time. Just about everything I have had from here has left me speechless. Really is some of the best baked goods I've had. We've gotten many things off the menu. The birthday box, which includes birthday batter cupcakes, Nutella stuffed cookies, and strawberry pop tart bars. Each one of these items are insanely delicious. It's hard to choose between the bar and the cupcake as my favorite for the box because both are insane but I'd probably choose the cupcake just because of the form factor. The classics box, which has Boston creme cupcake, chunk cookies, and 7-layer bar. Again, another amazing box. The cupcakes were so amazing it easily took my top for the box as I love the flavor. Despite never really craving the other items generally, they were so delicious. I really feel like she makes the best possible items within their respective "category". My favorite things of all were items we bought separate of a themed box; the orange creamsicle whoopie pies and the caprese turnovers. I honestly can't even describe the bliss I had when eating these baked goods. I was speechless. Orange creamsicle is one of my favorite flavors of anything and this thing blew my expectations. Perfect flavor and texture. The turnover was flakey and delicious. The filling was so savory and perfect it was honestly such an experience. Not to mention, I got the funfetti cookies and cream cake for my birthday and you guessed it.... Freakin Delicious. I will say this... run.. don't walk. Run to this place(but preorder first) because everything sells out. I'll be trying the cinnamon rolls soon(another fav dessert of mine). After really searching for a bakery in the area, I found Anna Bakes opened 5mths ago in the neighborhood. The cupcake had excellent flavor but the frosting to cake ratio made it a tad too sweet. I can't say enough about their delicious corn/onion empanadas...WOW. I also tried their s'mores layered pudding and it didn't disappoint! The service is lacking. No greeting as we entered. The young lady behind the counter did not approach and offered no help although we were the only customers. She spoke only when we we had a question about an item. No thank you. Maybe she was tired. So I have been ordering boxes from Anna Bakes for awhile now so I felt I should give her the review she deserves. Some of the amazing treats I've had are her homemade Oreo cookies (I know!), magic bars, the amazing carrot cake, birthday cake cupcakes (the cake crumbs on top are everything!). Not only is Anna an incredible baker, she has the most sunny and sweet personality. She always greets you warmly when you pick up your goodies (for now, it's pick up only).
