My Puppy was in the Access Hospital in ICU next door to the Bakery and I wanted to treat the nurses to a sweet treat from Vickys! They customized a special platter for them and they loved it! They have the best coffee, freshest pastries and most delicious food! The bakery is spotless! They are all eager to assist with descriptions for their pastries and their menu. I also took home: coconut flan, flan cheesecake, chocolate eclairs and a cake soaked in syrup. All were fresh and delicious! The eclair was filled with vanilla custard and so amazing! Best coconut flan I've ever had! Not too sweet! Definitely order the Flan cheesecake! It's creamy and light at the same time! The pound cake in syrup is so similar to what I used to make as a Greek Desert! It was beyond delicious! Also not too sweet but rich and magical! We stopped here for lunch. They were quite busy with dine in and take out orders. They have several tables inside, and a long high counter, plus outside there are some tables with umbrellas. Although there was a line, it moved quickly. We decided to share a Cuban sandwich plus we each got a pastry for dessert. You order and pay at the register and pick up your order when they call your name at the other end of the counter. They have so many varieties of pastries, desserts, and cakes on display that's it is hard to choose. The Cuban sandwich was excellent. Slightly warm on pressed fresh Cuban bread. And the pork, ham, and cheese inside were very good as well. In fact, it was one of the better Cuban sandwiches we've had in quite awhile. For dessert, my husband got a guava and cheese pastelito. It's in the shape of a turnover. Not too sweet because the cheese tempers the sweetness of the guava. It is one of his favorites. I tried a chocolate Napoleon with merengue. The top layer had the chocolate glaze and there were thick meringue layers between each pastry layer. It was a bit gloppy and not the easiest to eat. Very sweet but good. I brought half home. Yes, they are a quite popular chain. But they have a pretty good and efficient system working at this location. And lots of staff proficient in both English and Spanish. Vicky Bakery has a large presence in South Florida. We decided to try this new one in the Wellington area for lunch today, a great decision! We ordered at the counter and picked a table near the front while waiting for our food. Lots of customers and there was a large helpful staff on hand to keep the lines moving and orders served quickly. We shared a Cuban Sandwich which was prepared perfectly and delicious. Came here to get a taste of Miami/ Cuba but in Palm Beach county. The food was really good and tasted fresh and full of flavor. The staff was more than willing to help where needed and answer all questions. The people here are extremely nice. i believe his name was Noel he helped my wife and he was super helpful and patient made sure we had everything we wanted. He went above and beyond what he to do. (he had short and super curly hair in case i got his name wrong). I gotta say ambiance is nice and the restroom is clean. i really can't ask for more. The place is always very busy and I know why, the food is really good. The cafe con leche is amazing. They're doing it right here. I really like this place. I suffered from food poisoning 12 hour after eating a Chocolate Neapolitan. I ordered my pastries, around 2 PM May 12, the manager box them, the cashier rang my order up. To process my payment a decision was required for a tip. I did not leave one. The cashier turns to the manager, they have a short discussion and the manager goes to the kitchen with my box of pastries. I asked the cashier where the manager was going she said "I don't know". 4 to 5 minutes later the manager return with my pastries. At that point I thought, I hope I don't get food poisoning since I didn't tip them. After my eventful night I call the store to determine if anyone else reported a problem. The manager told me no one else had a problem and she explained she went to the kitchen to warm my guava pastry, which was unnecessary since I was not eating at the shop. She placed the warm pastry with the chilled items. Maybe this is the cause of the problem. I am posting about my experience to encourage anyone else who suffered after a visit to Vicky's Bakery. My husband and I love this bakery. Service is friendly and fast. The place has a casual and relaxed feel. The cortadito is delicious and the cafe con leche is just how i like it.. very strong. I think the fan favorite are the ham croquettes and for good reason. They are delicious! But you also cannot miss out of the quesitos and the pastelitos of guava and cheese. They are big in portions and very tasty. We also have had the media noche and tuna sandwiches and loved them as well. I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

Wow what a fail. I was highly anticipating this place opening and don't even understand how they have the following they have. The stores down south must be different because this store was awful. The guava pastry, which should be a no brained had the guava all over the bottom. Never had one quite so bad before. Stopped to pick up some breakfast, pastries and Cuban bread yesterday. The breakfast burrito and the pastries were great, but as a 71year old man that has been eating Cuban bread my whole life, I was so disappointed with the Cuban bread. Cuban bread should have a white flaky crust with an amazing aroma and taste. What they are selling is more like a French style bread. You can get better Cuban bread at Publix, and that is not great. I don't understand why Cuban bakeries have gone away from traditional bread. So sad! read more

I've driven past this place a few times anticipating a chance to give it a try and today was the day. I was craving a breakfast sandwich and from previous reviews I saw they were offered on the menu. This bakery is very cute. The branding for this place was done well. They serve not only baked goods but breakfast meals and lunch sandwiches as well. There were so many options if I had more time I'm sure I would have taken home a box of various sweets to try. I ordered the breakfast croissant with a sweet glaze and bacon ($7.99) and a 16 ounce fresh squeezed, orange juice ($6.25). The orange juice tasted great but for the price I probably would not order one again unless I just had a die hard craving. The portion size of the sandwich is great for the price. The sweet glaze was overpowering for me but I know I'm more of a savory breakfast person over a sweet breakfast person. The overall taste of the sandwich though was very delicious. Very busy as it just opened but the service was very efficient. There were about 10 people working behind the counter. This is my first time trying this establishment, I have friends that rave about it down south. The quality of the food was ok, the pastry dough was tasty but the filling was lacking, barely any meat in the meat pastry. The chicken croquettes were also ok, chicken flavor mostly not chicken meat. I also tried the spinach empanada, also ok, it was the only baked variety they had. The best thing was the cafe con leche which was excellent. The place is a bit loud, some seating is available for dining in. The first time I visited Vicky Bakery I order the Cuban sandwich and boy oh boy it was delicious!!! the pork was super flavorful, the bread fresh, the Ham was perfect and the way they prepared it was amazing!!! Cute bakery near us that we've been wanting to try. Didn't get to try any pastries or sweets but we stopped it for a quick lunch. Service was great, wasn't too packed for a Sunday. We ordered the cuban sandwich, steak and eggs, and the classic breakfast. The classic breakfast came with some cafe con leche and it was very good. Had no complaints really. When you walk in, you will see the counter filled with mouth watering cakes, cookies, and other Cuban sweets like flan. I couldn't wait to bring my hubby back to try a few! This is where the 4 stars turns into 3... Unfortunately, we were all extremely disappointed with the baked goods. I grabbed a chocolate cake with caramel topping which was completely stale, inedible. It had definitely been sitting out for some time. The red velvet cookie was hard and also seemed to have been sitting for some days. The guava pastry was ehh and the chocolate cronut was just ok. The only thing that was worth getting again was the bread pudding (says my husband, as I'm not a bread pudding fan anyway). This was all on Mother's Day weekend so maybe it was an off day? But the place was packed and you'd expect the freshest and the best with the amount of people being served. Only thing I can say is, GET THE BREAD!! After hearing everyone rave about Vicky's, we decided to stop by and check them out. The place is very nice and spacious with a few small tables to enjoy their treats. Staff members were very cordial and helpful. We ordered 2 medianoche sandwiches, several pastelitos de guayaba y queso, pastelitos de guayaba, and a papa rellena. Although the place was pretty packed, the orders were ready fairly quickly. The pastelitos were nice and warm and tasted like heaven. I ate two before they got cold and got a little harder and tougher to eat. If you're like me and buy extras for family members or later, be sure to consume within 2 hours of purchase for the best experience. The medianoche sandwiches were good, but not the typical cuban medianoche we're used to having. I wasn't too crazy about their prices either, but there isn't much competition in the area. Loved it, the coconut shake is delicious, semi-sweet, refreshing and has shredded coconut in it. The pastries are delicious, the empanadas are great. The service is great and the staff were very nice for a busy Saturday morning. It's clean and open inside, well lit and has good amount of outdoor seating space. I ordered online and it was completed very quickly. The staff also didn't make the drinks until I got there so that the shake wouldn't separate or get warm. Incredible attention to detail and nice packaging. This place solves the issues I've had with other smaller bakeries with hectic order counters, I will be returning.
