We were in the area for a week and drove by several times. Finally we were hungry and wanted to try some Cuban food so we stopped in. Looks like the locals were hanging out there, but we sat at a small table and looked at the menu. Not sure of everything on the menu so I ordered a Ultimate Union sub (Club sub). Wanted to order to go but the language barrier had us eat in. That was fine and we got coffee and some pastries. Don't expect anyone to speak English in this restaurant but if you speak Spanish or can get by with limited Spanish this is an excellent spot to get a sandwich. I noticed a lot of the customers ordered the chicken soup which I didn't have but it is popular. They have hot food available to go, lechon, morros and the like, but I go for the coffee and sandwiches which are huge and suitable for sharing. So glad I stumbled upon this place! Just popped in for breakfast and some goodies. I got the best ham, egg and cheese croissant sandwich which was flattened and scrumptious. I also got a medium Cuban con Leche with a guava y queso pastry and one carne one. All in total cost me $7.50. I freaking love that! I'm making the 15 minute drive up i95 a little more often now for that deal. It was a busy Saturday morning. I was unsure of where to stand to order. I stood behind a lady at a cash register which seemed to make sense but it seemed like others where standing more to the left by the baked goods to order. I always say, don't judge a book by its cover. This little restaurant is in a not so pretty side of town or area, but the location offers large windows where you can see your car right out front. Service was good, heavenly café cubano servido and made. Go for ANY breakfast choice you like. The ingredients seemed low-end substitutes for cream, butter, eggs.... And on top of that, everything was so stale I think it would have made you sick. Some reviewers talk about the fresh pastries, and there's no way anyone could think the stuff I got was fresh or even edible. So maybe if they know you, you get something fresh, if not something made of high-quality ingredients. I would steer clear in any case, and especially if you're not an old, favored customer. They have a ton of fresh pastries and some yummy Cuban sandwiches. I tend to get the media noche and my fiancé always gets the ham, egg and cheese on a Cuban. The staff is Spanish speaking so sometimes the orders are wrong due to the language barrier. But it's authentic, so I wouldn't expect it any other way. And they are super sweet and will fix anything.
