I very rarely leave negative reviews but I am literally furious and writing this from my vehicle. These people do not have a clue what service is or what it means ro be hospitable or value the time of other people. I walked in at 7pm this past Sunday and there was a couple who walked in right before me and we were told that the booths were not clean and to wait in line ,so I agreed to wait. Another employee starts to clean the tables and the couple is called. She then says to me because you are just one we cannot give you a booth. Mind you, there were 3 empty booths when I walked in and two remaining. Why would you have me stand there and wait for something to be clean KNOWING you were going to ask me to sit elsewhere? I paid 4 dollars to park and walk, STAND and then leave this establishment. Ive sat at the corner booth several times as a SINGLE customer. read more

This Vietnamese restaurant is WAY OVERPRICED, especially with the soup/pho. Mediocre. tasting food and the broth is NOT from scratch. I should know .... I've been to MANY Vietnamese restaurants, over my lifetime and we / family, occasionally make the broth at home, as well. This process takes hours. I ordered 2 pho and they were supposed to be the COMBINATION pho and it was NOT. It was missing 2-3 different varieties of meats. We were very disappointed and considering how outrageous the total bill was. BTW... the spring rolls and egg rolls, did NOT include the dipping sauce. We had to pay extra for the sauce. TOTALLY ABSURD!!!! Never had to pay for the sauce at ANY of the other restaurants. How the hell are you supposed to consume the spring rolls and egg rolls without the sauce?!? It's always included with the appetizer!! ‍ My daughter recently went on a conference trip with her colleagues, to California. Now, that supposed to be an expensive state. The price of the pho there was almost half the price than this place!! Better tasting, as well!! So, PLEASE don't tell me because it's price inflation?!? I don't know if this business is suffering?? Wanted a quick meal around the area I was staying at and stopped by this place. The food was okay, but the service was lacking as one of the servers was very busy on her cell phone. There's at least one table that is right below an air vent that air would just keep blowing over your head. Get the beef pho and grilled beef summer rolls. read more

Pho is excellent. I wonder why it is almost empty most times. It makes me wonder if there is a problem I'm not aware of. The pho is delicious. Sliced steak and chicken burgers terrific. The meatball was nit my fave. If not for that I'd say it's a favorite place. read more

We went at 5 pm on a Saturday evening and there was plenty of seating available. The waitress was really nice and brought us a free condiment. I got the beef pho with veggies and everything was fresh, broth was really tasty. It had plenty of noodles and broccoli, carrot, baby corn, bok choy. It was very big I couldn't finish it! My husband like spicy food and he used the chili oil they brought with the pho. He also loved his pho and finished it all. Strictly came here for the Pho! Okay so my boyfriend and I are on a personal hunt for the best Pho in South Florida, and this was next on our list to try. We came a Saturday night, pretty decent sized crowd, but we were sat pretty quickly by the coolest fish tank! Love that. I'm super into ambiance and cool lighting, and things to look at! I'm a sucker for it lol. So to start off we both had a glass of wine (Pinot Grigio for me, Chardonnay for him) and had an order of the spring rolls (not pictured). They tasted on par, nothing spectacular. However, the main attraction, the PHO! I opted to get ox tail, and I'm sure glad I did! It was so tender and juicy! Full of flavor! The broth is what MAKES the Pho. Super flavorful and savory! We both agreed that this spot had the best broth we have tasted! He got the Korean BBQ and he really enjoyed it! Just said it was a bit difficult to eat, but I mean, come on, look at it lol. My only gripes are: I understand that you are either a sauce person, or you could do without any condiments and sauce ever (INSANE IMO).....I'm however a saucy person! They didn't have sauce on the table! No fish oil, no hoisin, no sriracha, chili oil/paste. Nothing. It was a mission to get someone's attention here for service. So my boyfriend ended up going to the bar to ask for sauces. Would of been nice just to have it on the table like other places. Not a big deal, but hey, that's just me. Second gripe. Like I said, it was hard getting someone's attention, and I do understand it can be busy. However we were enjoying our night conversing, and looked around and there was no one left in the restaurant besides us and one other party. No one came over. Took a solid 15 minutes to get someone over to ask for the bill, then you guessed it; another 15 minutes passed. We were both like, "Do you think they forgot about us? lol" Lastly, the price of PHO was a bit steep. I totally understand what we ordered, and the location you are in, but the prices were a bit steep considering the overall lack of service. So for those reasons it got 4 stars from me. This was my first time here and was very impressed. My sister on law is Vietnamese and was in town and asked for a good Vietnamese place. Luckily my friend referred us to this restaurant. They were very accommodating, we were a party of 7 that's quickly changed to 9. I pulled the reviews and saw they have the best broth here, so of course I went with the pho. We were in the mood for some Vietnamese food, so we headed over to Basilic on Federal. The reviews looked pretty good on Yelp and online, so we were excited. We found street parking next door which costs us $4. I can imagine parking may be an issue on the weekends but on a Monday it was fine. The building looks very dated outside, but inside it's modern, fresh and comfortable. There were about 2 tables full in the entire place, very light crowd. Despite this, the 2 staff members there were working on Uber Eats orders and ignored us. No instructions as to whether we should just sit or wait to be seated. We had to jump in and ask after a few minutes and when we did, they did tell us to take any seat we wanted. The menu is full of soups, sandwiches and a variety of entrees but overall I felt that it was a rather concise menu with limited choices. I ultimately decided to go with the chicken pho and my wife got the wok tossed noodles with tofu along with a honeydew bubble tea. My pho was OK. The soup was hot and fresh and had all of the requisite ingredients, but the broth was very plain and lacked nuanced flavor. While I thought it was a filling lunch, it didn't make much of an impression. My wife didn't enjoy her stir fry. It looked nice, but as was the case with my dish, she said the flavor was very weak and that it almost seemed like it was an Olive Garden version of Vietnamese food. The accompanying Vietnamese condiments helped, but it was still pretty lame she said. She did enjoy the bubble tea however and thought it was tasty. I have to mention Basilic's pricing which aside from the pho seemed to be on the high end for what you get. $17.50 for a noodle stir fry? That's excessive. $6.50 for a bubble tea is also quite high. $12.95 for my big pho seemed fair though. It was a really big bowl, so that's nice value. I was going to get a Vietnamese coffee when we were done, but $6 for a coffee is outrageous in my opinion. I don't care how much of a specialty it is. Finally, the service was spotty. As I mentioned previously, nobody greeted or directed us upon arrival. And while our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, the staff went MIA and could not be found when we wanted more napkins (which I had to pilfer from the neighboring table), condiments and a check. That was a little bit annoying. Overall, I give this place 3 stars. It was OK, but the food was too tame, Westernized and expensive for my taste. I would not go back nor recommend it. Summary: Food - 3 out of 5. Fresh, but very tame flavors. Amibance - 4 out of 5. Pleasant decor, very comfortable, good noise level. Service - 2 out of 5 stars. Pleasant, but spotty. Value - 2 out of 5 stars. Aside from the pho, very expensive for what you get. Overall - 2.75 stars rounded up to 3. read more

I have always loved the rare beef pho here. I have been coming for more than a decade and usually do take out. Since I am not a fan of brisket, I have always asked them to substitute and bit extra of the rare beef so that I receive same portion as I ordinarily would. This became a major problem last night when they failed to do so, and when I called to advise them of the issue, they became hostile and basically advised me that if I wasn't happy, to not ever return to the restaurant. Then they (I think the owner) summarily and without discussion or warning summarily hung up on me. I would have to say that I will take their advice and after all these years stay away from a place that obviously does not value my patronage, and also respond in an uncaring hostile manner. read more

Best Vietnamese food I have ever had in Boca Raton. This is one of my favorite go to places. The food is great and the service is good too. The grilled chicken pho is the best around. The broth is tasty, hot and filled with veggies and delicious grilled chicken. The lemongrass chicken is tender white meat chicken marinated with lemongrass, chilies and fresh vegetables. Portions are big so come hungry. Spicy Seafood is full of grilled calamari and scallops. Staff is friendly and always attentive. The restaurant reminds me of a small New York restaurant with nice ambiance. Always clean. They have great outdoor patio if you want to sit outside and now they have delivery through Door Dash or pick up. Truly this is one of my favorite restaurants. I've been to a basilic before and I usually know what to expect. The spring rolls were good and the pho was good as well. I also ordered a taro boba which tasted watered down. The reason why i'm giving this four stars is because the service was terrible. We visited this restaurant about an hour before closing time and we were sitting at a table. No one came up to us for about 30 minutes so we had to order right at the bar area. The food came out fairly quickly but we were never approached buy another individual. YUM!! This place really lived up to my expectations! We sat outside (behind the restaurant) on the back porch courtyard which was really nice. The weather was great and the environment was very serene. I ordered the Chicken Pho, which was amazing!!! The serving was huge and filled with fresh crisp veggies. I absolutely loved it! The Boca Basillic is actually depressing. I much prefer the location in Lauderdale-by-the-sea. The whole dining experience there feel so much more elevated. Anyways, at the Boca location, I'm not sure if it was our servers first day but she was clueless as to what was on the menu. My boyfriend also told her he had a serious shellfish and seafood allergy and not five minutes later did she bring out the prawn crackers. Luckily I knew what they were and he didn't eat any. A casual and clean restaurant with welcoming service. The complimentary shrimp chips were good and a generous size. I ordered the grilled chicken pho. The broth was average. The grilled chicken was way overcooked. Really tough. I did not enjoy even though grilled chicken is my favorite pho. My friend had the combination pho. although my husband liked this place a lot more than me the first time we came, I finally came back to eat another dinner with the in-laws. I have to admit I may have been wrong the first time since we loved the food this time. We started the meal with Spring Rolls with pork and shrimp and we shared a Vietnamese Chicken Salad. The salad is really different than what I expected; it's cold chicken but the flavors are SOOOOOO delicious and it has stuff in it that made it taste OMG but i really don't remember what else is in it. My hubby was bummed when he found out they don't have Pad Thai anymore which is his favorite asian dish so he didn't know what he was in the mood for so instead we ordered a bunch of plates to share....
