I get my haircut Nextdoor at buzz and grab food to go. It's been good before but today it was almost an edible. Sesame chicken was super soggy and really didn't have any flavor to it. The hot and sour soup was way too salty. The spare ribs mostly were just bone with a very little meat on them and very dry. The lo mein noodles tasted weird. I don't know what it was. This place used to be good, but I don't know if they just don't care anymore or they got different cooks, but it was disgusting. What a waste of $50 I won't be going back. read more

We ordered via UberEats. Delivery service was great! The food, on the other hand, was underwhelming - the egg rolls had absolutely no flavor and extremely greasy. Sadly, the Sesame Chicken was all coating and no chicken, and the fried rice was mediocre at best. We would never order from here again. So disappointing - especially given the cost for 4 egg rolls, an order of sesame chicken, and a quart of fried rice ($50). read more

I know in South Florida it's hard to find good Chinese food, after eating at Golden Wok the search continues. The food was not good. The hot and sour soup was just weird. It was orange in color and filled with what seemed to be oil. Had to toss in the trash. I asked if they had chow fun which they said they did, well what I received was not chow fun. Around noon today (Saturday), headed to Bronx Bagels on Powerline. Parking lot was full. Kept going up Powerline. Decided to hit Panera Bread. I parked alongside of Golden Wok next door to Panera Bread. I read Golden Wok lunch specials menu in window. Most were priced at $8.89 and offer can of soda as alternative to egg roll. That's good since I try to avoid fried egg rolls. I walked into Golden Wok as delivery guy headed out. Nobody at counter. I stood there and waited. Nobody came up to wait on me. I walked over past the window partition and looked toward the kitchen. I saw a guy in the rear in the kitchen. I stood there where I was more visible. Nobody looked up or came forward. I could have shouted to get his attention. I could have called him on the phone from 30 feet away. Instead, I just walked out and next door to Panera Bread. Maybe Golden Wok could invest in a motion sensor door chime. read more

Food was fresh, tasty and ready in 10 minutes. We got the Chicken Lomein, Orange Chicken and Vegetable Fried Rice. The Soring Rolls were a bit doughy and not enough veggies, so I would skip that next time, but out of all the Chinese we've tried so far in the Deerfield beach area, this was by far the best. I will first say that the food at this restaurant is pretty good. I had an experience tonight that doesn't sit well with me... I placed an order online for delivery, and for once I was paying cash (usually use card), the food total $26.76, sales tax $1.87, delivery charge $3.00, TIP $7.00 .... TOTALING $38.63 My plan was give the delivery guy $40.00 and his total tip would be $7.37 (almost 27%). I gave the delivery guy the $40 and he looked a little off and I said to him "there's $7 in this for you" he said where?? and showed me a bill from the restaurant for $39 (&change) and said to me this is what I have to pay them for your food and anything I collect over this bill is my tip, I said no and attempted to show him my screen shot of the order showing MY $7 TIP. He said, doesn't make a difference this is what I have pay for your food. I called the restaurant and told them what happened and I wanted to make sure the delivery driver received at least $7 for my order. After me demanding to know what happened and be assured they paid the driver, they came up with the explanation that the prices for my order were entered incorrectly (higher) and that had eliminated the drivers tip. So my concern is did this just happen once? Where's the accounting? What if I hadn't called them.... and I don't really know if the delivery guy got paid or not... they "promised" he would. I've had some pretty bad Chinese food in south Florida at some strangely high prices compared to my hometown New York. This surprised me in that I just thought all Chinese food came from the same distributors. How different can "fast food" be..? As it turns out, not all Chinese is created equal. That being said, this is as close as I have found to "New York". The "restaurant" itself is a mess(not a good optic). But who eats Chinese on site anyway. The food is as good as I can find here and the prices, while again higher than expected, aren't as outrageous as some others I've visited here. *Update* - they took my suggestion and cleaned up the inside. This has been our "Go To" Chinese delivery spot for a while now. Usually the wife and I share steamed dumplings (the dipping sauce is outstanding), then the wife usually has udon noodles with vegetables and I have the diet chicken with vegetables. The kids usually have honey garlic chicken with white rice. My only gripe is that they don't have white rice to purchase separate from a dinner/lunch combo. It's ok, not fantastic. Not good. Just good enough. The inside needs some touch-ups. You can tell it's old and hasn't been properly renovated. Chairs and tables have dents in them. But at least the floor, tables, chairs are clean. I only ordered the honey garlic chicken nuggets as a test. The food was cooked fresh, before my eyes and only took a few minutes. The sauce was put in a separate container, not on top of the nuggets like some places. This kept them crunchy. The nuggets were HOT and thoroughly cooked. However the sauce was watery. It wasn't thick and it tasted like it was made with duck sauce not honey. I didn't taste much garlic in the sauce. But overall I would give it a 2.7 out 5 only because the nuggets were cooked properly and the tables and floor were clean. For $27.99 you got one large soup, 3 egg rolls, one large fried rice, and three small items of your choice. Came here quickly one night after running some errands late and wanted to grab something fast before heading home but I didn't want fast food. I recently moved so I have been trying to find different places closer to my new place which can be hard when you have your staple favorites. Especially when I used to be surrounded by a lot of good restaurants and now its a bit more of a challenge. It's located in a large strip mall on the same side as Panera bread and it seemed like your average Chinese place and it was just that average. The woman at the front was super nice and had great customer service and the food came out quickly which was nice but that's where the greatness stopped for me. I ordered fried pork dumplings and General Taos chicken as the combo meal so it came with an eggroll and fried rice. As soon as I got home and opened the containers I went from starving to regretting my food choices. I am spoiled you see...my usual go to Chinese place had really great food, closer to homemade. This food looked more like the stuff you get at the mall. Not that its so bad it tasted ok but I am used to dumplings looking like they were hand made not out of a box. And the chicken was mostly dark meat covered in breading and a thick syrupy sauce. The eggroll was actually good but I was also bummed it didn't come with soup too. Here's the breakdown: Crab Rangoon-the potion was good..8 wontons for $4.99. If only the taste was as good. The wonton wrappers where thick and they were heavy with oil. Not very appetizing. Wonton Soup-started off good as the number of wontons in the soup was above average. The taste however was another matter. Again, the wonton wrappers were too thick and the filling tasted like old beef instead of pork. Very nasty. House Fried Rice-not a bad effort on this one. Plenty of meat and good flavor. This one got them 2 stars General Tso Chicken-the portion was huge and well worth the money. The taste was ok, but the amount of leftover oil really adversely affected the taste.
