Chicken wings were spectacular and perfectly cooked. Pho was authentic -- coming from a girl who was just in Vietnam and from the DC/ VA region where there are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants. This pho was actually really good and the broth was a perfect blend of savory and refreshing and the meat was so fresh. The woman at the front desk was so kind and quick to help. I also saw her attention to details when a young mom and little boy walked in and she brought the mom scissors to cut the pho. Today I ordered the Korean short rib platter and deep fried egg rolls (3) for pick-up. I was quoted a 7-10 minute wait time and when I arrived, my order was ready at the front and I was given the total of a little over $22. When I arrived home with my order my food was still hot and fresh. I started with the egg rolls and they were DELICIOUS! Fried crispy and the duck sauce provided was the perfect complement. Way better than the packaged sauce you usually get from these restaurants. The Korean short rib platter was good but could have been better. First and foremost the Korean short ribs themselves were nothing short of amazing! I ate every last bit. The rest of the plate however, I could have done without. The rice was mushy. The broccoli steamed but no flavor, not even seasoned with salt and pepper. I've tasked myself with eliminating food waste within my power this year so I'd definitely order the dish again simply asking for the short ribs alone. read more

More like 3 1/2 stars if you're just rating the soups.... I've been in Florida long enough that when it's rainy and cool, I crave comfort food -- and soup. We'd eaten at another pho place down the street before. I'd bookmarked this place for a future visit. Tonight was the night. It's in a large shopping center on the corner so there was plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is small but service is fairly fast so the tables turn over quickly. We started with an order of shrimp spring rolls. They were just okay -- a bit loosely wrapped. The two rolls were served with a hoisin sauce (I prefer the more peanut one). And unfortunately, the roll fell apart with the first bite. My soup was quite good. I got #27 which was a chicken broth base with egg noodles, shrimp and pork. I liked the thin slices of pork that were fat free yet still tender. And there was a decent amount of shrimp (with the tails still on). The dried fried onions and cilantro gave the soup extra flavor. I added bean sprouts from the greens/garnishing plate. My husband had their pho with vermicelli rice noodles and shrimp. He added sprouts, mint, jalapeños, and lime. He liked his soup as well. Cool night calling for some hot soup, or better yet, hot Pho. We had a good Vietnamese meal on the east side of Military Trail and saw Pho 16 as our next destination when in the area. We shared a Spring Roll with shrimp and I ordered the Rice noodle Pho with shrimp. (There goes my cholesterol!) The server was pleasant and served our rolls with a dish of Hoisin sauce for dipping. The spring roll was loosely wrapped so my attempt to pull apart the two cut halves resulted in Noodle displacement all over the plate. It tasted ok. Our respective bowls of Pho were served piping hot and mine was filled with 10 medium sized Shrimp and the broth and noodles were very tasty. This place has good Pho and reasonable prices. read more

I only used a little of the sauce provided - beware it's pretty powerful fish sauce based! But on the side so all good. Super tender beef ribs (kalbi style) in a sweet marinade and grilled over rice. Sauce splattered on walls, crusty napkin dispensers, floors could use a sweep and windows a wash. Thankfully, I have 3rd world guts and grew up in govt housing so it was not a big issue to me but wife was a little uneasy. Anyway, they were also playing hip hop music with explicit content on Valentine's Day, which was on the lords day this year and that I did have to say something about since I have elementary age kids but they were quick enough to change it to hip hop in a foreign language. I love pho, it's one of my favorite comfort foods. While the place was packed, I was disappointed in the food and customer service. Service: 3/5 granted I was at a table for 6, it was difficult getting the waiters attention to get our waters refilled. The cups were a lot smaller than restaurants that I normally go to and I drink a lot of water so mine needed to be refilled pretty frequently. Rather than have them come to check on us to see if we needed anything, it was essentially me having to raise my hand for their attention to ask them that I needed something. Price: 3/5 one of the more expensive Vietnamese places I have been to, but maybe this is the price point down south. Pho was about $10 per bowl which compared to $8 that I'm used to in Gainesville was surprising. What I will say is that they Vietnamese iced coffee was well priced and also very worth it! Food: 3/5 I've had better pho. The broth was very very subtle in flavor (almost flavorless). I usually finish all of my broth but half of it was left uneaten. My boyfriend got the bun bo hue and it honestly looked like pho broth. It tasted different (seafoody) and the noodles definitely were the bun bo hue ones but it just lacked the red rich color we were accustomed to. After adding chili oil, it started actually looking like what it was supposed to. We also got the spring rolls (filled with pork and shrimp) which is one of my favorite appetizers mostly bc I love the peanut dipping sauce that comes with it. Again, disappointed. It was dry and the sauce just lacked flavor. The winner was the Vietnamese iced coffee we got to go. Perfect ratio of condensed milk to espresso. Would definitely recommend that alone read more

When I saw pho 16, I was kinda iffy because I've never seen that number used for a pho shop before but I also was intrigued because it's different If you don't know me already, pho is my favorite food. If I didn't mention that on my previous reviews already, you can tell. So I pride myself in finding pho shops with the best broth because that makes the meat and noodles thrive. I got the pho 16 ( which is considered the combination pho here (pho dac biet).. They only have one size here for all bowls, so if you have kids I hope they have smaller bowls. Also if you a big boy like me you better order two bowls to hit the spot (Jk just get more noodles or meat) . I didn't find their broth that great tho, kinda plain. The veggies like the basil leaves were kinda dried out and soft too... What makes this place unique tho is that they have things pho places usually don't have which is "hu tieu" which is clear noodle soup and "banh canh" which is udon noodles with a mix of meats and shrimp too. If Vietnamese people saw the variety they have here, they would love. Yummy options, Vietnamese desserts, and inexpensive coffee and other drinks... but the pho broth needs work! read more
