Placed an order on a Friday night for 12 wings to takeout. I got fish sauce wings & the garlic fries. Even though I had about a 20-30 min drive home the wings were still pretty crispy and hot. The flavor was great! The fries were a lil soft but I put that on the fact they were essentially steaming on the drive home. Service was fast, the entire order was ready within 15 minutes and the place was busy but not completely slammed. The place seems a lil divey but not like dangerous or anything. Seemed like a solid place to watch a game & get some great wings as there were large TVs everywhere. I highly recommend and can't wait to try the other flavors of wings. read more

This was my first time here and I must say I'm super disappointed in this place. I heard quiet a lot of good things about here and let me say, it really wasn't as hype as everyone mentioned. First I wanna say that the owner, yes the owner really had a bad vibe. I was standing in line and was the next person up to order and as I was getting ready to order my food, she told me to hold on and asked the girl who was after me what she wanted to order as if I was not starting my order. Secondly, she over charged me for the 12 piece wings. If I'm correct in the photo 12 piece wings are $14.50, my total came out to $19.25. How is that possible?!? Even after tax that should've only came out to $15.95, I was over charged by $4.75. And I only got wings and nothing else extra with it. So there should've been no reason for my food to be so high. That was my fault that I didn't noticed until after I left the place. But all around the wings were good, I've had better. I recently stopped by Burnett's to celebrate a friend's celebration of a new job. We went on a Friday night around 10PM and this place was quite busy. I heard about their Vietnamese fried chicken and this is why you go to Burnett's. You don't go for the service because you won't really get any. I guess it's a Vietnamese thing. We first headed towards the bar to order some drinks. There was a non uniformed line in a cluster like shape to the side of of bar. I wasn't really sure if I was a line, so I just went straight to the stools to sit. There was this really intimidating bartender who came up to check up on me, since I was alone. I spoke to her in Vietnamese and BAM, we connected all of a sudden. I told her I'm new to Seattle and things have been tough with my job hunt. She was pretty much my therapist for the night. Asking me about my family and what the heck am I doing all the way here. Burnett's made me miss the Little Saigon vibe of Orange County California where I was from. Oh, she also gave me a few free drinks. This was one of the most memorable nights, for after a few shots I started not to remember. To update you Chi Yen, I landed my first job in town! Let's talk chicken wings. I just ate a leftover drumette cold straight from the fridge...and it was still super crispy. What kind of chicken magic is this?!?! ((Don't judge, I'm hungry and the restaurant I want to go to for breakfast isn't open for another 2 hours)). Definitely worth going a little out of your way for these chicken wings. We had the fish sauce and the butter wings. The butter was our favorite of the two. The meat in a few pieces was dry, but overall quite good. They forgot to include our name in our order and was sitting for 20+ minutes until we had to go up ourselves and ask about our food. Also, they are understaffed and clearly only care about customers who buy alcohol, food is below mediocre and even not worth it. Saw this place on Instagram and had to try! We walked in and it's definitely a hole in the wall type of bar with tables where you can eat. The tables had signs that said "This Row of tables reserved all night" but when we asked where we could sit, they said we could sit anywhere. We ordered at the bar. They have different types of wings and fried food. You can order wings in increments of 6 or 12 but all have to be one flavor. I wanted rice but they said rice wouldn't be available for 45 minutes! Mind you this is an Asian bar/restaurant so I was a little taken back! Instead we ordered fries with our garlic wings. We received our food, the fries first. I've been coming here for years because I love their chicken wings! I usually get the lemon pepper and butter chicken with ranch, no rice or salad because I think it's weird to eat wings with ranch and rice together but I know a lot of people who do it. The service isn't the best. It's seems like there are new servers all the time. Some are nice and some just aren't meant to work in a restaurant environment. A lot of times, they are out of rice or certain ingredients to make any specialty drinks except a Long Island Ice Tea, they somehow always have ingredients to make that. It also takes forever to get your food so I would suggest ordering right away and if you want food to go to just order that along with your dine-in order. Although lately it seems like the food is coming out a lot faster but that's a hit or miss. Sometimes they don't open on time and their phone number listed online doesn't work. They also get very crowded and a lot of times most of the tables are reserved so if you have a big party make sure you stop by to reserve a table because again their number doesn't work. The jalepenos give a nice kick and onions was a nice touch to the sweet and savory taste of the wings. Very solid! Forget the little dinky chicken wings or drumsticks with basically no meat on them. If you want good chicken wings and drumsticks, you go to Burnett's Pub for a great meal. You can either do 6 pieces, 12 pieces, and / or 6 pieces with rice and salad. My favorite flavors are lemon pepper and Thai sweet and hot sauce, and I would do anything to eat the chicken wings and drumsticks right about now. Wings and drumsticks always come out on point and crispy. I love it. The wait to order can be long because you gotta stand in line to wait for the bartender to get your order(s), but who cares? Just think about those hot crispy meaty chicken wings and drumsticks. It'd totally be worth the wait. The bartenders are very nice, so I have no issue with this bar. I've been here only a couple of times. And the wings have left a lasting impression on me. Specifically I order the fish sauced wings and I ask them to make them spicy. They're not extremely spicy to me but I have a high tolerance so it may be spicy to someone who does not have a tolerance for the spiciness. My wife also likes the garlic pepper sauce which tastes pretty good as well. If there were one thing I'd have to complain about it would be the amount of rice that was given. I've been going here for about 10 years.. even when it was called TL's (the good old days). Probably the only bar I would come to because of the food. Anyway, 5/5 for the food. Even on a friday night with 3 servers/bartenders (whatever their title is) and Yen the owner.. this place is hectic. We have to go up to the bar and place an order, but gets tough when there's a sh*tload of people at the bar already trying to order their drinks.. ergh. Food probably won't be ready for another 45min-1hr but so worth the wait when it does arrive. I'm glad they give rice because helloooo we're asian, it's not a meal unless you eat it with rice. (sorry Popeye's, you're not satisfying). Honestly even if she had 3-4 more servers I feel like it wouldn't change anything. This place is chaotic. 3/5 for ambience. Three words: FISH. SAUCE. WINGS! So freakin' good here. You don't understand how many of my friends rave on about these fish sauce wings so I was super pumped to go. I don't know why it took me this long to go try Burnett's! It gets pretty packed on weekends so it's hard to find a table for a large group but luckily we were able to find a few! First, service. You have to order at the bar for food and drinks. It does take awhile to have your orders taken and to get your food so expect a bit of wait, but the wait is so worth it. They do rush in the orders and get it out as fast as they can, plus made sure everything was going smoothly so we appreciated that. Okay now for the best part of this review: the wings! You have the option to order a 6-piece or a 12-piece plate. They have lots of different wing flavors but the fish sauce is the best. The flavor is AWESOME. Seasoned well and nicely fried. Love the jalapeños on top, gives it that extra kick and crunchy texture. Nothing is better with fried chicken than a side of rice. And the ranch was top notch too. If these wings are delicious sober, best believe they are crazy amazing drunk. I also ordered the garlic fries, topped with jalapeños, cheese, and bacon with a side of ranch. Definitely recommend getting this as well. So good! Overall, these have got to be the best wings I've ever ate. Burnett's will be my go-to for wings now. 5/5 would recommend! Will I be back? Small little dive bar on the corner. They only have a few parking spots in front so I suggest looking around for street parking. They currently have dine-in and outdoor seating. For some reason their phone attached on google and yelp doesn't work for me so I ordered take out here in person and they said it would take about 15-20 minutes but it came out in 5-10! First time I ordered 6 piece of garlic pepper & cajun wings. I didn't like the garlic pepper. It was bland and they used a lot of chilis but it didn't add any flavor to it. Burnett's is a little one stop shop after work to just hang out with some friends. My friends and I just grabbed a bunch of flavors but we absolutely loved the nuoc mam/fish sauce wings... writing this is already making me drool... You'll just have to go and try them.
