Burma Love is made with love, they really make some amazing food here. I highly recommend making reservations ahead as it can get quite busy on weekends and evenings. The atmosphere is loud and might not make it a good spot for a date or even chat. However, if you want to eat great food, come on down! They have great curry and the food has a extensive selection. Arriving there is best via ridesharing services. The area around is not that bad, just be mindful of where you go

Came here at the recommendation of a colleague and overall was pleased with the food but disappointed in the service and service recovery. In our party of six, everyone but me got their dish. Thinking my dish took a while, I gave it about 10 minutes while others ate until I asked, and they said "let me check." A few different people came over to ask what was missing, and eventually within 5 mins my dish appeared without any sort of apology or offer to "make it right", which in my opinion should have been offered.

I was excited to try this place because I'd never had Burmese food before and the menu pictures made it all look so flavorful. The cocktails we ordered were solid. The samusa appetizer was great as well - flavorful and perfectly crispy. The shrimp & eggplant was also pretty solid, but seemed like a stir fry dish one could make at home. The Mohinga, or catfish chowder soup is what disappointed me. It was advertised on the menu as " the national dish of Burma" and "not for timid taste buds" so I was expecting unique, colorful flavors. It was actually confusingly bland and didn't taste like much of anything at all, as if someone had placed soggy noodles in a mystery, flavorless soup. Ambiance and service were fine, I'm not sure if I just ordered the wrong dishes, so I'd give it another chance to come back and see.

Came in as a party of six on a Sunday evening and there was plenty of seating still. I hadn't been here before but everyone in SF has been telling me to try this place. Service was excellent and food came out pretty fast considering our large party. After a whole day of exploring the city, the food did not disappoint. I also tried out the tea-misu dessert and that was a nice touch. Overall I would come back to try out their other dishes too.

The food here is great! I don't eat a lot of salads everyday, but the tea leaf salad is sooo good. Their noodles are delicious, and the food is super clean and light, but also filling and homey. I love the fish sauce and various spices. Sometimes the smell can be pungent for people who are not used to it, so you can get the tea leaf salad without the fish sauce (but why would you lol). The Shan noodles are perfectly spiced and flavorful without being too sweet or oversaturated in sauce. And the dipping sauce with the roti - my indulgent fave and carb load of the meal. I could eat that roti for days. The place is fairly busy weekend nights and happy hour but can be pretty slow some weekday evenings if not much is happening with conferences at Moscone. I actually like when it's busier, as the place insulates the background noise pretty well and it feels less empty. And I'm still able to hear my friend and have a nice dinner conversation. They did try to stick us at a table next to the stairs with blocked views, so we asked to be reseated a table over in a more open area, and the staff was totally nice and accommodating. Hospitality and service were great here!

We were quickly seated (no reservations needed for smaller parties at non-peak hours, even on a Friday night). The lighting inside was soft, not too light or dark, with elegant decor and a cool space layout. The service was kind and accommodating, and appetizers came out super fast! Here's what we ordered: Rainbow salad: 7.75/10. Tossed in front of you, which was fun; good taste and texture. I would want to try the other salads next time though! Calamari: 8.5/10. Nice thin slices of crispy calamari, with a delicious sweet spicy dipping sauce. Mango Lassi: 9/10. Delicious (though it comes with ice, so if you don't want the extra volume and coolness make sure to let them know)! Sesame Chicken: 8/10. Sticky, sweet, crispy, yum. Especially with the side of coconut rice, couldn't go wrong ordering this one. Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup: 9.2/10. Had a smoky flavor, came with the standard Burmese asides of cilantro, onions, boiled egg, lemon, and chili. SO GOOD. Warm and nourishing and hearty and delicious, with ultra tender pieces of chicken. Would definitely order this again. 4.3/5 stars overall rating :) Can't wait to go back!

Bernese food is hard to come by in the South Bay area, so we're eager to try some in San Francisco. We did not realize when we booked the reservation, which is easy to book online, that dislocation is in the middle of the tenderloin, so I will just note that you probably want to Uber or drive rather than walk. When you get to the restaurant, the ambience is oasis like inside the building. We were seated quickly, and we were entertained by the multiple levels of seating and the baffling crowd. We started off with drinks. I bought the hot Burmese milk, tea, which I was scared would be a little bit too sweet because of the condensed milk, but was just fine. We had to get the tea leaf salad, which is made tableside. It was equal heart, creamy, and crunchy, and I would've appreciated more greens, but I can see the appeal as a party appetizer. For our mains, we got the curry noodles and mango chicken. The mango chicken was a stand out, as it was perfectly spiced and moist with large pieces of mango. We also got coconut rice to pair with it.

My friend and I decided to come for dinner on a Monday night at around 5 pm and we got seated immediately. The interior was very modern and chic, we enjoyed the little area we were sitting in which gave us a little more privacy to talk. Our food came out within 10 minutes which was so fast and the server was helpful, always checking up and letting us order rice because we forgot it was not included with our chicken dish. Platha & Dip - We got this dish with the chicken in the coconut curry sauce and I was obsessed with this. The platha was so layered, crunchy, buttery but soft in between making it such a great texture. The curry was lightly flavored but savory and paired well together. Wok Chili Chicken - This dish was a perfect amount of spice level for me. The juicy soft chicken had a great spice that tasted good with the crunchy onions and the side of sweet coconut rice we got. Everything worked in harmony together in texture and flavors. Overall, we had a great experience from the service to the dishes we ordered. We will definitely be coming back for this appetizer and to try some of their other main meat dishes.

I actually need an extra star option because Burma Love was that incredible!! Where has Burmese food been all my life? I had never even heard of Burmese food when my coworkers had suggested it. We ended up sharing fiery tofu, spicy and sweet chicken, samusas, spicy noodles with chicken, and eggplant and all of the dishes were incredible. Everything tasted so fresh and the flavor combinations were well thought through. I enjoyed my dinner with them so much that I came back the next day for lunch and tried the chicken curry and rainbow salad. Again, I was very impressed. Our server for our group paid close attention to detail and was patient with us. He did a fantastic job and made suggestions to add rice with some of the dishes. The bartender when I was by myself also provided great service and was very friendly. The restaurant itself is clean and well decorated, they also plate everything beautifully. I'm now Burma Love's #1 fan Can't wait to come back!

One of my favorite spots for Burmese food. Such a lovely dinner spot, with plenty of seating inside and a well decorated interior. Servers were very attentive. The tea leaf salad was my personal favorite. The dressing had a strong tea flavor a little tangy, but well balanced. I also liked the Shan noodles which had a strong tomato flavor and tasted almost like pasta with different noodles. The tofu was a bit underwhelming. Chicken curry was pretty standard and tasted like any coconut curry, and came with a lot of meat.

We came for dinner on a Wednesday night right after work and the restaurant was filled with after-work diners, but luckily we were seated very quickly. The restaurant was busy but our server was still remarkably attentive, answering all our questions about drinks and dishes. For the 4 of us, we enjoyed their unique cocktails a lot and we ordered the basil chicken, tea leaf salad, and a couple curries (one with lamb and one with beef)z The food was delicious and came out quite quickly! Great flavors all around For dessert we tried the teamisu (their take on a tiramisu) and the black rice pudding. Which were all great

The tea leaf salad was light and what was needed after walking for quite a while. The garlic noodles were plain. The chicken wings were well fried but was not spicy. I really loved the pantha bread with chicken dip. Fluffy and buttery - a bit heavy but was fun. Good place for lunch but was wondering why none of the spicy dishes were spicy. The food almost bordered plain.

This was so good and I really wish I could get food like this back home. Many years ago, our work team had a team dinner at Burma Love and I still remember my first Tea Leaf Salad experience. Flash forward to 2025 and I was excited to take the new team to this spot; we knew it would be delicious and unique, and it's different than the norm for a bunch of folks coming from all across the country for our community conference. I wish I could line out every single item we ate, but shoutout to our server who helped steer us towards many, many, many wonderful things to share among the table. We started with cocktails which were delicious (you never know in a restaurant vs. a true cocktail bar but these were legit). Some standouts: -Tea Leaf Salad -Garlic noodles -Some kind of chicken and noodle stew -Massive appetizer plate with calamari I loved almost every single thing I ate here. The vibe was perfect as well. Energetic, dimly lit, and fun. Great, great spot, and hope to return here again next time I'm in San Francisco.

The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

Most of the time, I just begrudgingly go along with my friends to a mediocre bar, but Blind Pig is a place I would enthusiastically return to again and again. I first got the namesake cocktail: Blind Pig. It was incredibly well-balanced, and the flame presentation upon arrival was an epic mini show. Later during last call, I decided to risk it all and roll the dice to order from the secret menu. I rolled a 5, which got me a wine & Japanese beer concoction with Sichuan peppercorn. Totally feel like this cocktail was made for me, as I rep the 川渝 region. The drink was strong, but that made it all the better. Seeing that it was named one of the top 50 best bars in North American, we had to check it out! We came in a Thursday night in mid-April about 9:45 PM. They have security outside thar checks IDs & also manages the queue in case the bar gets too crowded. We had no issues getting in, but there were zero indoor seats available - both the bar & table seating. Thankfully, they have a really cozy & well-lit patio area. The waitress let us know that even the outdoor patio has table-side service, so we made ourselves comfortable on the outdoor bench & within seconds she had brought us waters & cocktail menus. Weather outside was really nice, so I'm glad we actually sat outside. Each cocktail is $20, which definitely is a little steep, but I think the creativity, quality, & prestige of being named a top 50 bar supports the price. Each part of the menu is organized by liquor ie whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, etc. We tried 4 drinks total. I only took menu photos of the pages we ordered from but they have a lot more selections.
