Tasty and speedy fast casual / takeout-centric Thai spot conveniently located on the first floor of Salesforce Tower, making it the perfect workday lunch spot. Tycoon Kitchen has been quite the prominent feature in my rotation of office lunches, and I've been impressed every single time by the consistency and quality of their food, the efficiency of their service (especially with only such a small kitchen), and how friendly the staff and owner are. My go-to is their eggplant and tofu stir-fry, which often seems to take a few extra minutes to prepare, so the owner will often offer me a free Thai tea or spring rolls for waiting for what he considers a long time but what I think is perfectly reasonable given how busy they are. To make things more efficient, they also have two kiosks outside that you can order on, or you can poke your head inside if you'd rather speak to someone live. The food is absolutely delicious, and I love how flavorful everything is (including the tofu -- a rare sight these days)! The portions are also quite generous. I'm often left with a healthy amount of leftovers, perfect for dinner or an afternoon snack.
Tucked under the Salesforce Transit Center, Tycoon Kitchen is a great place to grab lunch if you're in FiDi. The portion sizes are massive, and a great deal for the price. The pad see ew is a great option - for $17, you get enough for two meals. Just note lines can be long, especially during lunch. If you anticipate going around noon, it's a good idea to order online beforehand to pick-up.
I had a really delicious lunch at Tycoon Kitchen while in town for a work conference. My friend and I just happened to be near it on our hunt for Match and I'm so glad I tried them. It's very unassuming and small. There's a couple tables and chairs inside and outside, so I was happy for that. You order via a kiosk out front and they bring it out to you. I think I only say one person, so seems like a very self sufficient spot. I ordered the crispy egg rolls and they were freshly made and delicious. The sauce that came with them was also really good! For my main course I had their garlic noodle bowl with grilled shrimp and it was amazing!!!I loved all the fresh veggies and the jalapenos. This was a flavor party!! This lil spot is worth a trip!
Tycoon Kitchen was the perfect choice for a quick but delicious lunch. The food was amazing, pretty sizable portions, and the menu had lots of options. Everyone in our group (even those with dietary restrictions or picky eaters) found something they loved. While most folks opted for a noodle dish like pad Thai, the salmon in the curry sauce was speaking to me. It came with the filet, a bed of rice, veggies like bok choy and the curry sauce in a container on the side. There was seriously nothing not to love. We had an order of the summer rolls to share amongst our group and they were fresh and crunchy and delicious as well. There was about 8 or so people in our group and luckily we ordered ahead to avoid a big wait time and I HIGHLY recommend you do this if you also plan to eat your lunch during the classic lunch hours. There was still a bit of a wait but nothing too bad. There might have been a few outdoor tables but this really is a pick up and go kind of spot. Luckily you're already at the beautiful Salesforce Park so a gorgeous park sit or scenic picnic table vibe is not far. Order ahead and enjoy!
Very good Hainan Chicken in FiDi. It is $18 which is a bit steep for Hainan Chicken which averages $14-$16 in the Bay but it's very tender. The plate comes with a mix of white and dark meat, collard greens, Hainan Chicken Rice, a poached egg, and crispy onion bits. Loved the taste and it is a solid spot for lunch with its other Thai / Southeast Asian fusion dishes.
Tycoon Kitchen has a prime location underneath the northeast end of Salesforce Park. They almost share a wall with the elevators; you go up to the top floor and boom, a gorgeous spot for an outdoor picnic. For a small location they have a large Thai food menu. I was here with a group, but I ordered the Tom Yum soup with chicken along with some shrimp spring rolls and veggie egg rolls for the group. The Tom Yum soup was good, but I felt the portion was small and it had too many onions. The ratio of onions to everything else was crazy; maybe sub some extra chicken instead? The soup did have a great flavor, and I found myself throwing it back the last drops of soup like I a shot of whiskey. Everybody loved the spring and veggie egg rolls and I heard no complaints about the other dishes. One person in my lunch group ordered the curry, salmon and said it was very good! I was able to order our entire lunch via their Yelp page and select a time for pickup. Everything was super smooth, and the staff was on top of the game even though they were slammed. There are some tables inside of the restaurant and a couple outside, but like I mentioned earlier, you're better off eating lunch up at Salesforce Park.
I recommend ordering ahead, as the food can take a bit of time to arrive. The customer service, however, is a solid 10/10! I asked for a sauce (not on the menu) for the egg rolls, and they kindly made one just for me a delicious mix of fish sauce and lime. Thank you for the great service! The inside is small. But they have seats outside.

I ordered a noodle plate with beef at their outdoor kiosks and patiently waited 10 minutes. The one person working that day transferred a piping hot box from his asbestos-laden claws into my hands. "Owe, that's hot!", I screamed. He didn't hear me as he disappeared back into the kitchen. I asked for a bag, to which he was annoyed that I even asked for one. I trotted back to my desk and enjoyed a box of noodles, carefully holding my fork between in my blistering fingers....
Whoever whips up the noodles knows what they're doing x) Have tried the drunken noodles with beef and the pad see ew shrimp. My pad see ew even had wok hei which some Thai establishments don't do. Another thing to note, they use broccoli and bokchoy instead of gai lan. I personally love gai lan so much, but the other two dark leafy greens are also good for you :) Although they don't have chili vinegar, they have chili powder and chili oil upon request. Also, make sure to take advantage of the free drink Monday and Friday promotion! Went with the Dalgona Vietnamese Iced Coffee for my free drink. Yum.

I was in town for work and grabbed lunch here with a few coworkers. You can find it under Salesforce Park at the transit center, along the elevators on the bottom floor in between 1st and 2nd street. We ordered online in advance, which was definitely a good call, because we when arrived there was a line out the door, and we still had a to wait about 10 minutes to get our food. That said, everything was delicious. I opted for the pad Thai with shrimp and our group shared the veggie eggs rolls and spring rolls. My portion of pad Thai was huge and was definitely enough for two people or two meals. It was packed with flavor and the shrimp weren't the super tiny ones either. I didn't try the spring rolls, but the egg rolls were fried to perfection and a great way to start the meal. I don't remember anyone in our small group having any complaints, so there's a little something for everyone as long as your like Asian food. I would totally order here again.
Excellent brunch and lunch food items located nearby the Salesforce Tower and SFMOMA. The indoor seating area is pretty small, so not great for large groups. Saw lots of people ordering to-go. We came on a Friday afternoon, which apparently meant a free drink for each of us! We ordered the lychee and classic mimosas, which were served in champagne glasses garnished with fruit. $15-20 for an entree, but the portion sizes are huge and the entrees were delicious! Had the tom yum omelette filled with flavorful shrimp and topped with two large slices of bacon. Sides included country potatoes and salad. Loved the variety and presentation! To be honest, I am not sure when I will be able to stop by next time since I'm typically not in the city during the day, but if I happen to be in the city early enough, I would gladly support this business and order some takeout prior to my evening activities.
TL;DNR: Very limited table options, food portions are GIGANTIC, service is quick and you pay with an iPad by the front. Ambience: We were one of two tables inside. It was pretty cold that day, so I honestly don't even remember if there were outside tables. If you're interested in coming here, I'd highly suggest getting a reservation ahead or just ordering to go. There was a pretty long line outside by the time we finished. (Not sure if they were waiting for to-go items or a table.) Relatively small inside, so the ambient noise levels were regular. You can kinda hear them moving around the kitchen area, since it's really tiny. Service: SO fast! We ordered and had our food out pretty quickly. The check is at the front by the iPad, so you can just pay whenever you're ready to leave. Pretty convenient. The people working here were also so friendly and welcoming. Food/Drinks: I guess we were also able to get free drinks?? But I got confused when they charged us for our Thai iced teas. I have no idea. I didn't try to clarify.) I got the Bo Luc Lac - a breakfast item ($19) - but holy smokes there's SO much food on the plate. It's angus tenderloin with onions and hoisin sauce, but there was an egg, house potatoes, 2 pieces of small toast, AND a salad. I'm telling you, this plate was heaping. I can usually finish my breakfasts, but I had to take half of this home. There was no way I would make myself uncomfortable for a few hours because of this meal. My friend got some kinda omelette (I think??) and that looked pretty good as well. I didn't try it because I had so much food on my plate. All in all, a wonderful experience with good food. I would certainly come back again, and it's also a great spot if you're looking for food near SF MoMA
This is the most comforting Pad See Ew meal I had in a long time (close to the Salesforce tower). It came with a generous serving of protein and vegetable fiber. What's different about it? 1. Generous serving of broccoli (I was so glad delicious noodles were mixed in with some veggie fiber) 2. Bok Choy! 3. Generous serving of tofu (I also had protein!) 10/10 lunch spot. Location is incredibly convenient if you work downtown / in fidi. Portions are large and the menu is great. I got the drunken noodles and would recommend for anyone who loves a beefy dry noodle dish. Service here is the best part. They are attentive, kind, and welcoming. Can't wait to be back read more

Tried the thai tea there and while it wasn't bad, it also wasn't good. The thai tea flavor wasn't really pronounced and it tasted a bit watered down. I would grab a drink here if I was in a pinch, but otherwise wouldn't go out of my way. read more

I came here with a reservation on a Sunday afternoon and wow! This was a pleasant surprise. Good: - Table was ready immediately - I was immediately a fan of everything that I got - The Dalgona coffee was not too sweet but so good and unique - The drunken noodles were so chewy and had a great texture! The beef was so good too. Bad: - Somewhat long wait time for food, but it's also a small kitchen so I understand why - Small tight space Overall, loved this place and the concept and it's not too far away either! read more

Great spot, reasonably priced. Food is made to order and tastes both fresh and flavorful. I like the space they are located in as well, matches the vibe. Do not go right at noon time as you will be bombarded with a long line. The pad kra phow always hits the spot. You can also order ahead and request to dine in. On Mondays and Fridays they have a cool promotion where you can get a free drink with any order. This has gradually turned into my g to spot to eat in fidi. read more

My friend happened to order some dishes through Neon from here so I studied the menu and joined her. I waited till past the suggested use by date so there was a funky smell from the bean sprouts, but the flavors were still fine. Jamie W. was the one who alerted me to this extremely compact Asian fusion eatery on the ground floor of the Salesforce Transit Center. He had come by already since he works nearby and told me straight away that they have good Hainan chicken. It took me a while to try it, but I walked over a little later in the afternoon to find a mass of people waiting for their takeout orders. It turned out to be a group from the same company because they walked together in a pack. Meanwhile I made my order on the touchscreen and waited patiently for my order. Once I got my food, I went up to the rainbow table area of the rooftop park where I was immediately hit with high winds as a cheery woman was trying mightily to conduct a yoga class. Of course I ordered the $17 Hainan Chicken, slow-cooked boiled chicken thigh topped with fried onion bits with poached egg, ginger-infused rice, cucumber slices, and cilantro (photo: https://bit.ly/475rICj). No ginger garlic sauce though, just the standard house one, which was a bummer. It still hit the spot. I also got the $9 Fresh Roll (photo: https://bit.ly/3KhtPZO). It contained all sorts of goodness in a rice paper wrap - shrimp, vermicelli noodles, pickled daikon and carrot, red leaf lettuce, and crispy shallots - with a peanut hoisin dipping sauce (photo). This place can be a little tricky to find at first. It's located on the ground floor in the Salesforce Transit center. Food is pretty good. I got myself a Salmon Rice Bowl - Salmon was great. It was served with red curry sauce. Rice was average and the side salad that came in was okayish. Service is lightning fast. They were able to manage so many orders at a very fast pace. You need to commend them on that. The place is good for takeout as the dining area is very limited here. The interior has probably just 2 tables and they have made some makeshift arrangements to accommodate people outside. read more

Visited Tycoon Kitchen on a weekday for lunch for two and was able to get a seat indoors upon arrival. The space itself is small but clean and modern. Ordering was easy and service was attentive. I opted for the beef pad see ew as well as a shared crispy veggie roll. The veggie roll was delicately fried and paired with a sweet chili like sauce that complimented well. I especially appreciated that the roll was not overly oily or heavy considering it was fried. my pad see ew arrived shortly after and was very generously portioned. I was especially impressed with the preparation of the beef. Many times, I feel like beef in pad see ew can be over cooked but the beef here was so tender. It was not over cooked and was actually cooked to what seemed to be a medium temp which I thought added great texture, flavor, and tenderness. The beef was also in generous chunks. The staff was very kind and efficient as I would definitely come back. read more

Love this place. What a great spot for lunch. Get in time otherwise queues are long. Sometimes food can take a while to come. Tried the coconut curry with salmon and rice. Very delicious! Also, their dalgona coffee is to die for. Not too sweet, but just right, creamy and delicious goodness! read more
Apparently the outside kiosk doesn't work for ordering food to eat there. You have to get seated and have a waiter take your order, which is kinda strange for such a small inside place with so few tables. But whatever, the food is really good despite being at a bus terminal. Fresh Spring Roll w/ Shrimp: Seemed a lot fatter than regular spring rolls. I think they stuffed in more leafy greens, which was pleasant since it felt very salad-y. The hoisin dipping sauce was a nice dressing, though it tasted like there was more than just pure hoisin in there. An appetizer where it feels like you're eating a lot, but doesn't spoil your appetite for the main course. Drunken Noodles w/ Beef: Like chow mein, but with some really pleasant Thai flavors like basil and chili sauce. The steak was very tender and flavorful; I appreciate that they didn't overcharge more than the chicken. Noodles were chewy. There were some veggies like green bell peppers, bok choy and hot peppers to balance things out. It all worked great together since each bite was so pleasant. Though the menu mentioned tomatoes, both in text and picture, yet there wasn't a single tomato in my noodles so that was disappointing. Crispy Chicken Sandwich: Doesn't feel particularly Thai, but it was still really good. Crispy breading with firm meat underneath. A really soft chewy bun. And an interesting slaw with lots of fresh veggies and herbs and spices. Kinda wish they'd offer a version with a red curry or green curry sauce. Garlic Fries: Thin and crispy, just the way fries should be! Lots of garlic and parsley for flavor, though no parmesan. The sriracha aioli gave it a little kick for dipping. Thai Milk Tea: Big glass. Creamy and bright orange. Love the refreshing and rich flavor. read more

Originally I had ordered the Siracha Chicken with Garlic Fries , but I guess they were out of stock. I received a call from DoorDash telling me the it was out of stock and that the restaurant would accommodate me with the Crispy Fried Chicken Rice if I wanted it. I agreed upon the rice because it was also a popular menu item. When I arrived to pick up my food the guy was so accommodating, gave me a soda , and did not charge me the price difference for the items. The rice is so good , I will definitely be back ! read more
Super cute and new Asian Fusion brunch place in the Salesforce Transit Bay! My friend and I tried this on a Thursday around lunch and we loved it! They have two iPad stands outside and we ordered togo through that since inside is pretty small. We got the Bo Luc Lac (traditionally a Vietnamese dish with rice or noodles); they served it with a salad (not pictured but still good), amazing garlic bread like homies smeared real garlic everywhere & topped it with a layer of parm, and lots of cubed potatoes. My friend got the Tom Yum Shrimp Omelette and really liked how unique it was; the shrimps were also FAT & very juicy! They have average SF downtown prices (~ $16-20) and huge portions! My friend and I were definitely full. I recommend you to order ahead on the site so you don't have to wait as long! My new favorite brunch spot right under the Salesforce Tower! It's a little tucked away but if you walk down Minna or Natoma, you'll see the first floor area of shops including Tycoon Kitchen. We came in for a weekend brunch. There wasn't a wait but the space is very small with only a few indoor tables and a few outdoor tables set up as well. I think this is more of a takeout place but of course if you need an area to sit to eat, Salesforce park is right upstairs! The thai tea french toast caught my eye and it was every bit as flavorful and delicious as I imagined. The thai tea flavor was strong but it wasn't too sweet of an entree. I appreciated the side of fresh fruit too. For $14 it was magnificent. You can also pay more for a combo to add eggs and meat but that sounded like too much for me at the time. My bf got the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich which was also tasty in its simplicity. It came with a huge side of fries which we didn't expect, but they were very good too! Crispy and thin cut, just how I like it. Again for $9 this was a great deal. I got a dalgona coffee (remember the hype a few years back?) It was quite strong and sweet, as Vietnamese coffee should be! Our server kindly explained to us that Tycoon Kitchen was the product of the combination of several of the owner's existing restaurants in the city--while compact, it boasts only the bestsellers at each restaurant. A greatest hits, if you will. So creative and definitely makes me confident in ordering anything on the menu. I was so pleased that I came back for a weekday takeout order for lunch. Phone ordering was quick and easy and they have an online ordering platform as well. I got the drunken noodles which I enjoyed but they were more standard Thai food. I liked how they switched it up and used chow mein instead of rice noodles. Overall I found this to be a fabulous spot for brunch. It's conveniently located, quick and friendly service, and amazing, FRESH food: my Asian fusion dreams come true! read more

I don't normally like Thai food but this spot is very good. The drunken noodles and chicken sandwich are both a slam dunk with great portions. Not a whole lot of inside seating, but there is outside seating. Also- a kiosk outside the store makes placing an order quick. read more

Tycoon Kitchen was delicious! Staff were very friendly and kind, and the food came out pretty quickly. It's a great little spot for a quick bite to eat and the portions were great for the price. I had the Hai Nan Chicken (which was I loved!) and the Thai tea was a great treat too. read more
