The current special bowl. O.G. Poke Bowl.

This place is great. Clean, fast, friendly, and most importantly - Delicious! The menu changes with specials and seasonal stuff. But the basic poke formula drives everything. Since discovering them, I eat here once to twice a week. Ok, occasionally three times... The girl who runs the register is always fast and kind, even when several folks are shooting questions at her. She keeps the line moving. Over all I recommend this place for fast & fresh poke steps from the Sales force park, which is a great place to take the poke and eat it in a beautiful park in the center of the city.

Just a typical poke spot, but in a great location to pick up a casual lunch! As a picky eater, I appreciate these locations that allow every single detail to be customized, down to the level of marinade. If they added kiosks too to skip the human interaction, it'd be even more perfect lol. My regular sized bowl ended up being ~$20 including an avocado add on. Pricing is steep for sure, but that's just the typical SF scene, unfortunately.

I was running errands in the neighborhood. Dropped by Pokeworks to pick up lunch on the way back to work. Restaurant is bright and clean. Food is ordered assembly style. The staff behind the counter knows what they are doing. I ordered a half rice/salad bowl with lobster and chicken. Rice to mixing ratio is just right. Bowl is not overpowered with rice and salad. Everything was fresh. This is a good light lunch.

Hmmmmm... 3.5 stars My coworker picked up a poke bowl for me, so I have no idea what it's like inside. I ordered a salad poke bowl with spicy ahi and salmon. The bad: - the cuts of fish were small - they forgot the wasabi - they included edamame even tho I did not want edamame in my mix in - stomach started making noise while I was eating... questionable (good thing I have a cast iron stomach) - masago costs extra but they're prudent with their scoops The good: - because I got a salad, the meal felt very healthy - they have a sushiritto option - the chili crisp is delicious, and they were able to put it on the side upon request - it's near work - do get the onion and garlic crisp - the surimi salad and tofu is free (extra protein!) - never felt like I was running out of sashimi hehe Tip: order on their website for pick up as the current menu is usually up to date Solid healthy lunch option.

I've been coming here a lot ever since I discovered this place. Their poke is pretty fresh. They have a variety of toppings to choose from. The portion for the regular bowl is just enough for one meal. Service is fast with some seatings inside and plenty of seatings outside.

Pokeworks offers a great poke experience, especially with the $5 off your first order when you sign up. I love the customizable sauce levels--light, medium, or heavy--and the variety of toppings that mix well with the sauces. The umami shoyu and serrano aioli are standout options. They cater to everyone, including those who prefer cooked proteins like lobster, chicken, or tofu. The outdoor seating is nice, but indoor space is limited to just two tables. The servers are friendly and generous with portions. Just a heads up, the lunchtime rush can get busy, so consider using the website to order ahead.

tried the diy poke bowl this time, it had lots of delicious ingredients to choose from. I liked the spicy tuna, chilli crisp shrimp, masago (fish roe), seaweed salad, surimi salad, and edamame. they forgot my soft tofu but it's ok the bowl was quite packed

Also, nothing is served with mac salad... The prices are pretty decent for SF. Maybe that's why this place is popular. They are takeout only and have one bench outside for you to eat at if it's free. Tried the garlic shrimp, the moco loco (idk why they swap the words), and the furikake chicken. Also had a spam musubi (when I ordered online for pick up, I couldn't add egg which is usually an option according to the Toast website). The garlic shrimp was missing a flavor that Hawaii has in their garlic shrimp. The color was very red but it was not spicy. They do have an option to make it spicy though. It was bland to me compared to what I'm used to when I visit Hawaii. The moco loco gravy was good, but the beef patty tasted dry and overcooked. They did have a runny egg too but it was oddly underneath the patties, so we broke the eggs while trying to split the beef amongst 3 people. The furikake chicken is probably better if you eat it right away since it's lightly breaded. We took it home so by the time we ate it, it was soggy. The sauce it is cooked in is a little sweet and wasn't too bad. The soggy chicken ruined the texture for me though. Each dish was served with a little bit of cabbage which I liked to get a little greens in the meals. The spam musubi didn't taste like it had any sauce, and they used so much furikake underneath the spam, that it made it taste fishy. Would not recommend. I can't comment on the service much since I ordered online for pickup. The guy who handed me my food after asking my name was nice and polite though. The only reason I'd come back is to try to the shave ice. The group in front of me got 3 for their kids, and it looked tasty. I would not come back for the food, but at least the prices aren't bad for SF standards.

It was cooked fine, but the flavor was just okay. The Kalbi Short Ribs were also just okay. They were cooked fine, but really had little to no flavor. Definitely have had better. As for the Wings, we got the Pa'ina, Sriracha Honey,Salt and Pepper, Garlic Cilantro, and Spicy Mango. The Pa'ina has Sweet Chili Glaze, but too us was just spicy and didn't really have much flavor beyond that. In comparison, the Sriracha Honey we thought had more flavor besides its heat. The Salt and Pepper was a disappointment. It didn't have much flavor and was actually the least tasty of all of them. It was moist like the rest of them, but wish that the Skin was crispy like you expect Dry Rub Wings to be instead of being soggy. The Garlic Cilantro was a good combination with the Fish Sauce, Cilantro, Garlic, Serrano, and Lime Juice if you like Cilantro. The Spicy Mango was actually no really spicy and had a good Mango flavor to it, not that artificial Mango flavor you get with some things Plus, the Ube Colada was thankfully not too sweet, and was well balanced in Alcohol to drink ratio instead of barely tasting the Alcohol or the Ube. The Lychee-tini was also well balanced in both the Lychee and Alcohol flavor. Overall, great drinks, service, and food. Definitely would come here again and try more yummy food.

Like, when you can't even wait to get home, you have to eat it immediately while it's hot. I knew right then it had to be worth trying. I asked where he got it, and he pointed me to a spot just down the street (not to be confused with the other Hawaiian BBQ place close by called Aloha). I pass this place all the time, but the parking is terrible, so I usually just keep driving. Yesterday I happened to be on foot and finally stopped in. I noticed a PASS inspection sticker in the window (isn't it usually an A? I'll Google that later). It's strictly a food shop. No tables, no décor, nothing fancy. Just a big menu on the wall type of place. The menu is simple about 4-5 meat options and a few sides, and you build your combo. I ordered a small plate since I tend to overeat and appreciated that option. I got the chicken katsu with rice and mac salad and it was perfectly portioned. The chicken was great. No notes. The steamed rice was just a little overcooked but still tasty. The mac salad was decent, though I expected a bit more from what seemed like an authentic spot. Oh and of course, the sauce, so good. My only complaint is they need to pack two sauces in the to go bag, not one. Total came to $10.85, which feels like a steal. It completely satisfied me and definitely beats driving all the way to Chipotle (my usual lunch stop) and spending $15-$18. No photo because I was too hungry and ate it in the car. I'm excited to bring my husband back and see what he thinks.

Underwhelming poke in the Tenderloin…read more Based on the appearance of the bowl, I was expecting bright and fresh flavors, but looks are deceiving. I was disappointed to find the bowl very bland and flavorless. It felt dry. The only sauce was mixed with the salmon pieces and didn't really taste like anything. This left the rest of the bowl lacking flavor and having dry rice. It seems like they just threw in a bunch of random ingredients to take up space in the bowl. I mean, carrots and tortilla strips are definitely interesting choices for a poke bowl. The portion was relatively small for what you pay. The amount of avocado given was just sad. You also aren't able to make adjustments to add other things to the bowl - you're stuck with what is set in the description. For this spot being a very small hole in the wall, I thought I would be noticed and assisted quickly. I was the only person in there but had to wait an unreasonably long time to get my order. I placed the order online long before I walked to the restaurant during my lunch break. When I got there, I sat waiting for probably 10 or so minutes before someone even came out from the back to hand me my food. Maybe their other menu items are better, but I wouldn't recommend Kitchen Aloha for their poke bowls.

A big part of this is to the credit of a business named Pastel which evolved to become Neon. Having a good history with most noodles that I've bought, I decided to order the House pork ramen (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=72iXyoJaxGrhkty7DF9oTw). original packaging (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=LgVq8b8DhqHa9wHx6pVztA). It was packed efficiently and nicely (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=KdmB7Hvc6obGwX9AeFJ4cg) and the reheating instructions (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=e7wguIZaCBANjQ91DN61Dg) were simple and clear. I chose the stove top reheating and worked as explained. I liked the depth of the broth and the noodles had a nice chew likely due to the use of a lower heat. It was a decent portion, perfect for my dinner. You can add a nori leaf or poach or steam an egg to supplement this. Sadly, I steamed my egg too long so the yolk was on the harder side when I combined it with this. Thank you, Ramenwell, for making a quality product and I will study your menu the next time my friend decides to order from Neon. My friend lives a couple blocks away so perhaps I'll dine there instead.

As you enter the building, every room becomes slightly dimmer, gradually transforming the place from tropical paradise to dive bar scenery. The food, though, was pretty mediocre. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Fries and just by the looks of it, it already doesn't seem too spectacular. The taste of both were above decent, BUT the price point was a little bit too high for me. The portion size definitely on the smaller side. I did appreciate that these dishes were freshly made - the burger and its juices were steaming hot! They have excellent customer service. We came in during a Trivia Night and it was free to join. The game was very casual, yet entertaining to see the competitive groups. Not sure what the prize was, but it definitely added to the dining experience. But unfortunately as much as I wanted to rate this place higher, the food isn't just on par.
