Going to Onigilly was the best possible way to finish our trip! My friends and I came to Onigilly after I found it on yelp and it was fantastic! Everyone said it ended up being their favorite meal of the trip. We ordered at the restaurant and walked to a park to eat since we're a large party and the shop is quite small. For 7 individual orders I would say it took 20 minutes max, very good service! For the bites: I ordered 3 onigiri: salmon, spicy tuna, and spam and all three were incredible. Whenever I'm running errands in the FiDi, I almost always get my lunch here. The quality has remained high from the many years I've been dining here. They no longer have curry on the menu. But they do have these premium onigiri, including ones filled with poke. I LOVE the sweet soy salmon poke onigiri. It's a little sweet, a little umami, and very fresh. And as always, I also got a tempura shrimp onigiri. I just love the crunchy texture with a meaty shrimp and soft rice. I also added a side of kaarage chicken that was juicy. So this was a custom box set for around $16, and it was filling. I always think two is not enough, but then I remember the time I got 3 onigiri and was stuffed. Service was really quick after I ordered on their kiosk. This was after the lunch rush, so I was the only one there and it seems the online orders slowed down. Otherwise, I have been here during the lunch rush and it is packed! Something to think about if you want to get food here. There's no seating here, so orders are only for take out. Logistically I did not care for the fact they have no seating whatsoever since their food is made to order. Once my chicken teriyaki came out, the box had no name or receipt on it, so there was confusion because there were multiple people in the store. After bringing it home and having a chance to take a bite I immediately set it down and said, 'cheap.' The Onigiri tasted incredibly cheap and having just had an amazing experience at Do-Re-Mi which had a similar pricing structure I didn't know what to say. The chicken tasted like chicken salad - as if a low cost chicken breast had been boiled, then cut apart, and then tossed in a low quality teriyaki sauce. Absolutely not for me.
