    Chicken cutlet curry rice
    Robert C.

The quality was there but could have used more quantity. I had a chicken cutlet curry rice. This was prepared just fine and there was hint of spiciness that you felt. This was for take-out and I can't see myself re-ordering this given the limited amount of food. Tasty though.

Solid bibimbap and comes with free banchan. Not too busy during lunch rush. The tofu soup comes with a free bowl of rice. Can select different spice level. I chose medium and it's not too spicy. Asked for seafood option but there's not much seafood. Might go for another option next time.

Lunch at one of my pre-covid favorites! So happy they survived. We shared stone sticky wings, fried shrimp, kimchee fried rice and pork trotters. Soooo good. All the little sides were good as well. One of the benefits of being back in SF part time for work is definitely the restaurants and great food!

I came here with a girlfriend before an Exploratorium After Dark event. I was wary since I went here with family before the pandemic and the food and service was just ok. I thought I'd give it another try. I ordered seafood pancake and my friend got soondubu and a Kirin. Our waiter was very attentive, my seafood pancake was huge and delicious. I can't speak for my friend's dish since I didn't try it but we both had a lovely time.

Fast and very friendly service plus blazing hot Bi-bim-bap on a sunny San Francisco day equals 5 stars from me. We arrived at 1:45pm when they close for lunch at 2:30pm so I was a little nervous we were "those people" but the service was so warm and hospitable. They had a highchair for my 3 year old and they brought her some candies and made her feel important. It was very cute. The outdoor dining space is large, with a nice view of Vaillancourt Fountain. The food was fresh, delicious, and 500 degrees as promised. They have some nice choices for Asian beers as well. Pros Excellent service Outdoor dining Hot stones and crispy rice Cons None!

Did not give service on meal pal after having a meal reserved. Owner completely rude and did not serve. Reservation confirmed on the app and refused service. Was rude and disrespectful.

Spending money at a restaurant that would not let us use their bathroom.

Either crazy rude or disturbed cook/manager. My wife and I and our grandchild spent $100 at 6 pm and were the only patrons. We walked out and less than five minutes later I came back and asked if I could use the bathroom. The only guy there refused me! We argued a bit. The waitress didn't vouch for me (silence after a 20% tip?) He moved toward me threatenly! WTF. There is more that happened but super uncomfortable situation and that guy probably should get a new job or some counseling.

This is a review for their mealpal. I love their regular menu items. Although they are way overpriced, they perfectly satisfies my night cravings after long hours of work. When I started to use mealpal I was very excited to see they are one of the participating restaurants. I however was greatly disappointed by the quality of food of their mealpal meals. Chicken bibimbap 4/5 If you want to give their mealpal a shot, this is the best one they offer. Try this! Chicken cutlets curry over rice 3/5 I ordered this a couple times. At first they would gave a pretty generous portion of chicken cutlets on top of the curry. But apparently they are becoming more and more stingy. for the most recent one I ordered several weeks ago, as you can see in the picture... only five super thin slices. Really disappointed. Crazy Korean bowl 2/5 Do not get this... a heated frozen beef patty with a lot of salty gravy over white rice...

Honestly I was second thinking about coming here because there was like bad reviews but I came anyways the menu looked so good and the staffs were nice and sat me and my friend down, she rate the food a 9/10 and I rate it a 9.5/10 because I liked it and there was ALOT of rice cakes and ramen the total for these two plates were 39$. I would recommend!!!!

Giant chunk of tofu in Soon Du Bu Lunch

i've come here for lunch twice now with a group of people, and have not been impressed. I've ordered the bibimbap with pork belly as well as the soondubu. Bibimbap was decent, though rice was unevenly cooked and lacked the crispiness that is so precious in bibimbap. They gave a lot of rice, a decent amount of veggies and a sad amount of meat. Soondubu was beyond disappointing. I had ordered it without shrimp due to an allergy. 20 minutes into the meal, everyone in the group had received their food, but mine was nowhere in sight. I was told that my soondubu had been made with shrimp, that it was being remade and that it would be out in 3 minutes. 10 minutes later, my soondubu finally arrived. I was famished but disappointed. There were only 2 clams in the whole bowl, the pork belly was dry and the tofu came in one huge chunk. I could see the lines from the tofu container, which I have never seen in 15+ years of eating Korean food. I had ordered the soondubu medium spicy and it basically tasted like water mixed with gochujang. The rice was mushy and I can honestly say I've never had rice that bad before. Very disappointed and will be sticking to East Bay for Korean food from now on.

Stone Kalbi: Marinated short ribs grilled over charcoal wood chips served with green leaf lettuce, sauces, and steamed rice ($22)

The roommate wanted some meat in the form of Korean food. Since I had a Caviar credit and their Korean options were limited, I decided to try Stone Korean Kitchen for dinner. We ordered delivery on Monday, November 27th at 5:41pm. It arrived at 6:25pm. We live in Outer Richmond. *Stone Wings: Fried chicken wings tossed in our house sauces, Original: Sweet & Spicy ($10) *Soon Du Bu: Silken tofu stew with pork belly, shrimp, Manila clams, squid, zucchini, onions, and egg served with steamed rice, Spicy ($19) *Stone Kalbi: Marinated short ribs grilled over charcoal wood chips served with green leaf lettuce, sauces, and steamed rice ($22) The kalbi was pretty good. Came on a bed of onions with lettuce wraps. I love veggies so I ended up using the onions with the beef in my wraps. The rest of the dishes I found a little bland. I love super spicy and flavorful soups, so the soondubu was a little tame for me. Also, not a lot of porky flavor for a stew with pork. The tofu was good though. Nice and silky. The wings weren't really sweet or spicy, so kinda weak in flavor for me. They were nice and crispy though. The banchan came in little sauce containers with I found weird, but we got a small variety of brussels sprouts, bean sprouts, and kimchi. Decent spot for Korean food. I just wanted stronger flavors. If you're into more mild Korean flavors, this may be the spot for you.

It was comfortably mellow, which made for a peaceful meal. We shared 4 dishes, starting with the Mulhwe Noodle per the staff's recommendation. This dish was very refreshing. I was a little worried that the chili broth was going to be spicy given the bright color, but it wasn't at all. The broth was light and enjoyable. The amberjack was also very good. Next, we had the Hokkaido Uni Scallop Toast. The bread was soft, buttery, and crispy. The uni and scallop were creamy, fresh, and not overpowering in flavor. The whole thing blended and melted together. The Braised Black Cod was a delight with the variety of textures and flavors. The fish was soft and almost custard-y. The barley and butternut squash puree were nice additions and paired really well. The sauce was delicious. The Galbi Steak was a standout. We added on the lettuce wraps and ssamjang, and I highly recommend this. The galbi was tender and juicy. It was good on its own but adding it in a lettuce wrap with the ssamjang took it to another level. Overall, I had a great dinner. I enjoyed all the flavors.

The portions were on the smaller side so had we ordered an extra dish or two, I think we would've been very full. We ordered about 3 appetizers, 3 mains and 3 desserts and it was just about perfect. All of the dishes had well rounded flavors and super tasty. The matcha dessert was my favorite! I do have a natural sweet tooth but the presentation and overall execution was cool.

Granted we were a bit late for our reservation, we ended up having to wait another 30-40 mins. The place (2nd floor) is small & awkward. We were all cramped waiting on the stairway and the actual seating area is also fairly small for a busy KBBQ place/big parties. The 8 of us squeezed into a booth with 2 chairs on the side. You can also feel whenever the table next to us got up and stomped/yelled/moved in their chairs-- which was really often. The basic AYCE menu is fairly limited-- esp for the side options. The marinated meats were pretty good as was the tteokbokki. Side & meat portions were alright, but the kicker is having to flag down staff to make sure they put in the order & bring it out. We asked for japchae about 5 times before it actually reached our table towards the end of our meal. The server/manager also told us that he had accidentally brought out 2 bottles of soju for us and that he'd COMP 1 bottle. We didnt notice that he had actually charged us for 2 and comped/subtracted a "third" one. So none were really comped at all. I just realized after we paid and that felt really sketchy. Idk if it's worth coming back here.
