beef pad see ew (8/10): meat and eggs were slightly charred, not too smoky. noodles were cooked perfectly, not too hard or mushy. good flavor without being too dry. pork ribs (6/10): love the papaya salad that came w this, but the marinade was too salty and meat had so much fat. i bit into too many pieces thinking it was meat just for it to be fat. yellow curry (9/10): this curry was DELISH. the potatoes were on the softer side, along with bell peppers (not my fave but i tolerated it). chicken wasn't too dry (though not enough for $25), and the curry itself was flavored just the way i like it. prob my fave curry in the city. it was packed on the thursday evening we went (esp. with it being first thursday) and the server did apologize that it was busy, but it did bother me that i ran out of water by the time our food came out and i didn't get any more, along with not being checked on. service was great when we were being seated and had our food brought to us though! would come back during a less busy time, but i think everything was a little too salty. not my fave thai place but it's decent. read more

Please update your hours as it's very inconsistent across all sites. I made a reservation at 2:15 online since it supposedly closes at 3 and was called multiple times with no voicemail to let me know they close at 2:30. And it's not, kitchen closes but we can finish our food... it's gtfo at 2:30. Google says it's completely closed today... I successfully made reservations through toast... I wish I didn't have to apologize to my guest and get so embarrassed by this mix up. So tip to all, don't trust the posted hours. read more

Recently came by with a friend and had a delightful lunch. The interior of the restaurant was brightly lit and colorful. We ordered the following: boat noodles and a cup of chicken tom yum soup. The flavor for the boat noodles was very concentrated. I don't recommend if you're looking for a light soup. Overall, I would love to come back to try food! read more

A new location in Fidi! Convenient for me to come with my coworkers. Been an Osha Thai fan for over 10 years now and it's the perfect restaurant to come to with a large group since they have vegetarian and gluten-free options. They are very accommodating. We came for lunch on a Wednesday with a group of 12 and they didn't have enough tables available to push together since all the existing tables were spread out all across the restaurant. They offered us a table of 6, 4, and 2. I fought them because it's rude for the group of 2. We squeezed 7 and 5 into the 6 and 4, much to their dismay but we totally fit with no issues. I didn't want to make a reservation because over a group of 10 means you have to pay a $100 deposit and it looked like there were tables available all the time during weekday lunch. I mean they were available but sadly not combinable. Food came out fast. The crab rangoons were whatever, I was disappinted. I enjoy their pad see ew commonly but tis time I got the pork chop fried rice. It was a good portion. My coworker's crab fried rice also looked very good. read more

The noodles broke apart on contact and was not fun to eat. The duck was soft and savory though, but eat it quick as the skin got mushy fast. I've been here several times. I have to say it's easily one of my favorite spots in the FiDi. Their red curry is my favorite thing. It comes with rice and roti. My next favorite are the chicken skewers with the roti and peanut sauce. It's so cute inside, you wouldn't think you're in the FiDi and the food comes out pretty fast. My go-to is always the Pad Se-ew as a baseline and this one doesn't really hit the mark. I came here with my boyfriend and his family yesterday night for dinner. There were 9 of us, 2 of which were kids. We sat at the table by the window that looks out to the street. The restaurant is beautiful with a very nice aesthetic. We ordered the Osha BBQ Platter with Green Papaya Salad, Crab Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon, and Samosa. When they brought out the platter, I was very surprised at how big it was. The platter, along with the other dishes we ordered, was more than enough food for all of us. I would say the platter is enough to feed at least 4 people. The platter included a variety of meats. They were all seasoned and cooked well. If I had to choose a favorite out of the meats, I would probably say the lamb. Lamb isn't usually my favorite, but the way they cooked it here was very good. It was tender and not overdone. It also didn't have that strong meaty lamb flavor that throws me off sometimes. Now, if I had to choose my favorite out of all the dishes we had, I would say the samosas. I loved the filling - the curry, the mashed potatoes, the carrots, and they were crispy and flaky. It came with a cucumber salad, which included cucumbers in some kind of fish sauce (I think) concoction. This was also very good and went well with the samosas. Service is friendly and efficient. I have tried multiple dishes and all were excellent except the apps are just so-so. I'd stick with the entrees with my favorite being the beef volcano. I was excited at the thought of Osha Thai opening up a new location on Montgomery, in the heart of the financial district. I thought it would be a good spot for after work happy hour, or even a place for lunch with your work team. While they don't have a happy hour menu yet, they are officially pushing to make it happen! Our group of 4 visited on a Thursday evening to get some beers and appetizers to share. They do have a wine and beer menu. We ordered the chicken satay w/ paratha, crispy spring rolls, spicy tiger shrimp, and the plamuk tod (whole squid calamari). I can say for each dish, it was delicious, served hot, and definitely shareable. The seasonings for all the food was out of this world, and the sauces paired with the food were really good too. (I especially like their satay and "chicken sauce") Our waitress also sent us a plate of the tamarind chicken wings on the house which was a nice treat. I was craving some curry, and Osha had a wonderful selection! They even had a seasonal pumpkin curry which intended up ordering. It was delicious, hearty, and full of flavor. My friends got the roasted duck curry and another pumpkin curry. They were extremely accommodating. They adjusted the spiciness for all of us based on our preferences, and when it came out too spicy for my friend, they brought it back and gave her a version with more soup broth to tone it down. I didn't realize there are a bunch of different locations. I'm guessing it's a local chain. There is one closer to me by the embarcadero so I can't wait to try that one, too. The food was absolutely amazing! This is a super cute spot we stopped by before watching a movie, the inside is super beautiful and the ambience is perfect! The service could have been better - we did wait quite a while for our food, and the servers hardly checked on us. Regardless, everyone was friendly, food was great, and I'd come back to try other stuff on the menu! The Crispy Mango Prawn was really light and a great start to our meal. It was spicy and sweet, though my partner and I agreed it may have been a better balance if it was slightly less sweet. The Thai Iced Tea was perfect - it was the right amount of creamy and very flavorful! For dinner, we got the Spicy Basil (I chose Pork for the protein) dish with fried rice and a Beef Pad Se-Ew. I really loved the Spicy Basil fried rice, I couldn't get enough of it! The flavors were well balanced and packed a nice punch, the spice level was adjustable since you are free to add as much sauce as you'd like. One of the better locations if you ask me. Not open on the weekends yet but beer and wine is available. Parking is pretty sparse until after 7pm then there's plenty. Amazingly friendly staff. Spacious and nice space. Puck is the owner and served us himself. Super sweet and courteous. The food is awesome. Highly recommend a visit after your day is over for some solid Thai. My girlfriend and I were in town for a children's hospital charity event, and we had dinner at Osha Thai for my first time at their newest location. I've never been to another location, though my girlfriend had, and she really wanted to try the new one. It was an outstanding experience. We were the only customers there when we came in and were promptly sat. We ordered the papaya salad, the volcano beef, the duck curry, and the drunken noodles (all medium spice and for sharing). I requested a side of their spiciest sauce to add to my portions so my girlfriend wouldn't die from capsaicin. Our papaya salad arrived first, and the presentation was gorgeous. The flavor was complex and incredible, with a delicious and spicy dressing. It was so refreshing and delicious! Unfortunately, the medium spicy level was a little too much for my girlfriend. Our server, who I believe was named Bow, noted that my girlfriend was reacting mildly to the level of spice. She came to the table moments later with a sweet Thai iced tea, complimentary, to help her manage the burn. That is five-star, luxury service! Both my girlfriend and I working for one of the largest hotel companies, we were ready to steal her for one of our properties! She made the experience so much better with a small gesture that showed she empathized and devised a solution on the fly for my girlfriend. Can't speak enough about how impressive that was! Then we dove into the best item we both had (not to say ANYTHING was bad), which was the duck curry. If I could swear on yelp, I'd drop an OM*G here. This dish was so complex, spicy, sweet in flavor, it's impossible to describe. It was almost like it was cooked in a red pumpkin coconut curry with hints of cinnamon and maybe five spice... but also had grapes in it. These are all the flavors we tasted, not necessarily the ingredients. Before we dug into it, my girlfriend asked me to cut up the duck leg. I told her, "I think you will be able to pull it apart with a spoon." She tried. And it did. The duck leg was cooked to a confit or sous vide-level of moist perfection. We put the excess curry sauce over our fried rice. Next we hit the volcano beef which was perfectly cooked medium-rare with a delicious sauce and bell + chili peppers, topped with a "volcano" of onion rings with some green onions. This also went great with our fried rice. It was still too spicy for my girlfriend, but we still loved it! Last we ate the drunken noodles with shrimp. This was the only time I needed to use the extra spicy sauce, and it actually seemed less spicy than the regular/medium spicy sauces. It was still a good level of spice, but it wasn't as spicy as I expected. The drunken noodles were great, but maybe the least flavor-complex menu item. That by no means is to say it was bad - we loved it! The ambiance of the restaurant was calm, lit in a very hip fashion. The most important part of this entire review was our server Bow and the cook/chef. I have eaten at countless Thai restaurants. I am always disappointed by something. THIS IS THE BEST THAI RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! Not a single thing disappointed me, and the service was like a luxury restaurant, without the uppity snootiness. Bow was fun, engaged with us at just the right amount, and made our visit better than could have been expected.
