Caffeine, lots of caffeine...but wait patience lots of patience! So yes, you can sift through the racks here for hours and find unbelievable deals, but it's a mess. After watching some icky customers in here look like they are practicing the who can be more of an unthoughtful messy butt head award, I know I cannot blame it on the staff whole for the mess. Like pull something out, look at it and drop it on the ground repeatedly, wow. You fail. They get a lot of weird sizes and defects (hence the cheap prices) so you must try everything on. I found that out when I brought some stuff home for the man and the pants thighs were the same if not smaller then the calves. Burlington Coat Factory has no inventory system and that makes me a criminal. We bought a couple of versions of pink ties from Burlington Coat Factory for our groomsmen to each choose from. Somewhere in the wedding frenzy, we lost the receipt. We figured that we could get store credit and get something else more useful. The customer service rep that we spoke to said that they had just changed their policy and no longer gives store credit. We asked for a exception, since we really had no use for three pink ties. They said that because they had no inventory management system, there was no way for them to know that we stole the ties. Wait... a second... Fact: You don't have an inventory management system. Therefore: You have no idea where your goods are at any point. So, you conclude: If I don't have record of me purchasing from your inventory (that you aren't aware of) it must mean I stole it. Which gives you reason to: Give poor customer service. Well, that gives me reason to: Never shop at at your store again. If I am going to be a criminal, I want to be at least a smart one and not frequent a store I've already hit before. read more

This is where I now shop to buy my little guy his clothes. They have everything from Nike, Jordan and Polo outfits for babies, all sizes from Newborn to Toddler. Last time I came I bought him 5 Jordan outfits and a pair of shoes for almost $50. Not bad since one baby Jordan outfit is about $40 at Macy's. The downside of Burlington is the lines. I waited in line, kid you not, for 20 minutes on a Tuesday morning. this is your run-of-the-mill discount clothing/home supply store, like ross, marshalls, tj maxx. As other people have mentioned, shopping here is a lot like shopping at goodwill. its draining, and you have to dig thru a lot of stuff, but occasionally you can find some really cheap stuff. The racks are stuffed, especially the sale racks, and are crammed really close together. just squeezing the clothes apart to look at a shirt better is a bitch. they have a pretty large bed/bath selection, with lots of inexpensive sheets. a full or queen complete sheet set is 10-20$. i saw some pint glasses with biggie smalls on them last time i went here. i wouldve gotten them, but my bf was making fun of me, so i put them back. read more

This store is a MESS! A huge mess! I wonder if their staff actually organize their products. How do they do inventory? Their stuff are all over everywhere. Clothes are not in order, more shoes are pouring out of the boxes on the floor than on the rack. In fact, I don't think customers can find a complete pair of the same shoes. We came here not looking for coats but luggage as were going on a trip soon. We shopped around and were pleasantly surprised at the great prices they had here. We purchased a piece of luggage that was $40 at a competitors and we got it for $29, score! Extremely uncooperative and unfriendly staff. They don't care for the customers and show attitude to them. As if they are doing us a favor by letting us shop there. The register closes at 10 pm on Saturday night. They wont let you checkout the items you have been spending time to choose which is best for you at 9.58 pm also. The girl who worked there didn't let us go anywhere near the register to checkout our items. She was very RUDE. I am not going there again!!! I used to love Burlington Coat Factory back in the days. It was my go to store for bargains. Not sure if it's the location of this store but this Burlington is very skimpy and practically empty. It's very unorganized and sloppy and you have to dig, dig, dig to really be able to find anything. If you have the time to sit there and sift through their piles then perhaps you will find something. They do have a good selection of kids clothing and houseware stuff but again, you'll have to go thru it all. read more

I liked this store till this day....I got white leather coat. I liked very much,till moment when I bring it home. I found that one back side of the coat has a light dark stains...I was so unhappy and I expected to returned. I still got my receipt and even tag on a coat. Expect lower prices compared to Walmart, Target. There are a few items which are reasonably priced and high quality, but most are ridiculously expensive for cheap fabric/ designs. There are messes everywhere (clothes everywhere, trash in random corners) and the worst part is that the service is horrible! The sales lady had a huge fed-up attitude and no cash in her register, and I waited around 10 minutes for $2 back? The employees are all in the front, none are able to help near the clothing aisles and the rest of the store! This place is for those who know and have researched what they want to buy. I worked at this location maybe about 7 years ago when I was a teenager. So when I went in with my boyfriend and went from looking at jewelry to suit cases (because we were going on a trip to Vegas) I knew exactly what loss prevention was thinking. I agree you can find items that of better value than other baby store. They even have nice sunday dresses for little girls... But be very careful... Most baby depot stores I've been are pretty messy. Too much supply. sometimes there's no room to freely go around the aisles. Toys, and clothes are everywhere. Lesson learned. checked item twice before buying. I bought an ear thermometer not realizing that the tip was missing. I even took the item behind the stocks because some are open. I got home and remember to open it 3 weeks later. I went back to the store, and guess what... i could not return it!!! they send someone from baby depot dept. and when he came all he can say is that i couldn't return it. "only the manager can approve it". he added. But when i asked for the manager. "She was not there" he quickly replied. He could have just tell me i cant return it. period. I tried to explain that their area was a mess. Be prepared to spend some time in here if there's something specific you're looking for. Although a little disorganized in some sections, they have a cool variety of clothes here. My husband always finds something he likes, which is great because his size is rare. The childrens section is mediocre, but I can manage to find something for my baby. The prices are reasonable, but the lines are not. For all the cash registers they have, only about 50% of them are open everytime I'm there. read more

If you know what to expect, and are prepared, you can have a great time and find very nice items and good prices at the BCF at the Great Mall. That said you just need to be prepared for long checkout lines - on weekends and during Christmas holidays. Stock not neat - in the afternoons on weekends and holidays. I have experienced that - and I don't go there then. I go at on weekdays, I find the store neat and the lines short. If I do need to go on a saturday or sunday, I go early. I like the hunt for a good deal - so its hard to pay 2x more (or3x mroe) for the same thing at Macy's or Kohl's after you see BCF's prices. read more

Workers here are lazy. My husband is trying clothes on and he told me which ones he wanted and didn't want I tried to give it to the fitting lady and she told me to put them back on the racks. Isn't that her job? Isn't that is why she is getting paid. Another lady came by and was yelling at my kids. They do not have good customer service. My mother and I came into the store early morning to look at what was on sale. She saw a scrub top she really liked and the price tag attached to it said it was on sale for $1.99. We thought it was such a great deal because it was the Grey's Anatomy brand and so my mom decided to get it. When we came up to the register, the cashier looked skeptical about the price being so low. The way he spoke about it made it seem like he was accusing us of changing the price on the item to $1.99. He ended up doing a thorough search on the product and it was revealed to us that it was actually $3.99. He didn't apologize whatsoever about them attaching the wrong tag on the item (it wasn't even just a sticker, it was an actual tag!) He also didn't want to honor their mistake and was rude about the whole transaction the entire time. We will no longer be shopping here again. Sure, $3.99 is just $2 more than the price we initially thought it was, but the guy made it seem as if we were the masterminds behind the price tag fiasco and that we were trying to get away with a steal of a price. I accepted the long lines on a Saturday afternoon to have a cashier tell me that the reason that the same pair of black flats (one sized 8 and the other sized 8.5) were priced at a $15 difference because "one had been in stock for longer than the other". Of course, the one that actually fit me and wouldn't give me blisters would be the more expensive one. Both were brand new and in the same condition, but for their bogus reason, I would have to pay $15 MORE than the smaller-sized pair due to their inventory/my having to fit the larger size. Never come to this location it is not up to standards. I tried to exchange a jacket because it was used. I notified the manager Manmeet that someone left Downy dryer sheets in the coat pockets and returned it. The manager has a nasty attitude as do her supervisors and claimed it was never worn because the tags were still on it. Really!! The manager doesn't care about customer service only her bottom line. She also talks to you in a condescending manner. I then asked for the Dist managers name & number and they would not give it to me. Instead they gave me the phone number to corporate security. When I explained my issue to him he then gave me the extension to customer service, which doesn't do any good. Now I'm being given the run-around which leads to nowhere. C'mon people, I realize you aren't getting paid enough to place clothing the way they need to be set up, but give me a break! The dress shirts were literally scattered around in very random places, which made it a headache for me and my poor children to try and find. BAD STORE, DO NOT SHOP HERE! I went into this store searching for a dress shirt. I couldn't find anything my size. I came back a couple hours later to search again, and I mysteriously find a dress shirt on top of a pile that was what I was looking for. I assumed that it was in the back and they restocked, or someone was carrying it around and decided not to buy it, so I bought it. Then when I went to a local mervyn's, I found a better shirt, so I went back to Burlington to try to return it. However, after returning to the store, a lady was called to "inspect" my item, then I find out that I can't return it because it had a stain on it. I never even wore it before and they were blaming me for placing this stain on it. I tried to convince them that they were the ones who sold me a faulty item, but they insisted that this was a "family matter" and that they can't accept this item. How is this a family matter? I bought this shirt, found a better one, and tried to return yours back. Their response: "You should have looked at the shirt carefully before you bought it." I'm not even allowed to take out the shirt out of its packaging, so how can I inspect it myself? I even asked to speak with their manager, and this lady states that she is the manager, although I had suspicions of her response. I had my friend try to return the same shirt several hours later, and this SAME LADY admits that she ISN'T the real manager. BURLINGTON IS FULL OF LIES AND DECEPTION! DON'T SHOP HERE! After spending $218, and before exiting the store, I was accosted by a loss prevention agent named Daniel who'd thought I didn't pay for my purchase. I then showed him my receipt to quickly resolve the problem and he went on his way. But here's the issue: it is obvious that he didn't see me shoplifting, so why did he accost me? Moreover, the store was scant since it had been opened for no more than 30 minutes upon my entrance, so shouldn't I have been quite easy to surveil unto the register? Or why didn't he wait for me to go through the sensors upon exit to see if the theft protection tags would alarm? Of course that wouldn't have happened since my cashier had removed them upon my purchase. As a veteran of the security industry, if I was in Daniel's position I would've posted outside the store to see if my suspicions were correct. Thus if the alarms had sounded off Daniel would've had reason to investigate the matter. So should he be fired? Or am I overreacting? What course of action should I take? read more

I actually like going to Burlington because if you have the time to look through the racks, you'll find some nice clothes at even nicer (extremely discounted) prices. If you like an item, you better grab it quick because chances are, it won't be there when you change your mind. The dressing rooms are tiny and some smell like urine. If you're a tall person, you can practically see over the door. The employees aren't the nicest people, but I wouldn't be in a jolly mood working there either. The longest part is paying. This place is great I don't know what all the bad reviews are about, I absolutely love this store and get most of my stuff from Burlington coat factory! I am big & tall 6'4 300lb and they have a wide range of clothes for all sizes. They have designer clothes at a fraction of the price of other stores and unlike Ross or Marshall's, actually have a wide array of sizes to fit everyone's needs. The shoe selection is weak but for casual and dress clothes you cant beat this place; were else can you pick up a $200 100% wool suit and some designer jeans for less than $20, and a shirt for like $10.
