Too hot in summer daytime so came here and walked a lap to get some steps in. This Milpitas mall has actually gotten better over time with a lot of entertainment and dining options. Great to see the 1st NorCal Milksha tea place open up. The Dave and Busters was very busy, now there's an indoor trampoline place where kids are having fun, and theres a Legoland Discovery place for little ones. It does warm my heart to see malls stage a comeback. So glad they dont charge for parking here, thats why we dont go to Valley Fair much anymore. read more

If you're looking for free food then you're in luck! Find it at either the Andersen Bakery which I found had pastry samples, or the big food court. Unfortunately during lunch or dinner hours, it was hard getting a seat at the food court so keep that in mind. Andersen bakery always has good pastries. Tried their curry one, it was good. I like how this mall has so much variety in activities and stores - they also have Coldstone ice cream, old navy, Uniqlo, cinemark theaters, Asian stores, card stores (ygo, Pokémon, etc), Sephora for makeup, a good Indian food spot, Chipotle, jollibee, onigiri, escape room, and even a nonprofit cat store where you could pay a few hundred to adopt a cat!! Coming here at opening time is the best time in terms of easier traffic and parking navigation. Was even able to get parking under the covered parking structure so we got shade. When we came here at opening time and left by about 230pm, that offered great traffic and parking flow. Much less headache than other times. read more

People hate on this place but it's got a great variety of stores. You can walk at least 2 hours to make the whole loop. You can spend half day or all day here. Whatever. Yes it's crowded and yes parking is hard but that's a lot of places in the Bay Area. The lines for Burlington and Marshall's are insane ugh like to the back of the store so I don't even spend too much time in those stores because who wants to line up for that.. might take you 30-60 mins just to pay Parking is less busy depending which side you enter Many stores are outlets so they have clearance items and you can get some good deals if you happen to be there at the right time Food court is pretty big and always has enough seating read more

The cheaper version of Valley Fair Mall, but way better than NewPark Mall. This is the nearest mall I have to drive to from the East Bay for better clothing options. Parking is easy to find and you can walk around the loop indoor for two hours. There are benches available in every section. It gets crowded and a bit chaotic during the weekends. Some will argue over a parking space near The Home Depot. The restrooms can be a bit dirty and a few sinks don't have water coming out of the faucet. Overall, it's family friendly with good food options and outlets. read more

It has been a long time since i went to this mall. If you go late afternoon especially during the long weekend, parking lot can be tough to find a parking. Anyways, this mall has everything you need whether for clothes, purse, shoes, or wherever yoi want to go. This place also have a movie theater, Dave and Buster, massage, and food court and restaurants if you just want to come to eat. You can spend all day here or half a day since this mall is big. We came here on a road trip to treat out kids to a visit to the Lego Discovery Center. Afterwards, we roamed around a bit before hoping back in the car. It's a really nice mall. It's big and offers a great variety of stores at a wide range of price points so you can be sure that you will find what you are looking for at a good price. I was also very pleased with the crowd at the mall. Everyone was very well behaved and courteous of all the other shoppers. We didn't spend much time here but on our short stroll through, I was really impressed. I wish the malls near where we live would take some pointers from this mall. read more

My daughter's boyfriend took me to walk around the Great Mall. Compared to the Westfield mall, this one was less attractive, but served its purpose. Customers and families were seen enjoying the mall. There's plenty of stores to shop around. There's the Lego store, Burlington, Marshall's, Dave & Busters, and some high end premium brands. This mall is budget-friendly and affordable. They have a lot of shops. They have massage chairs, photo stations, claw machines etc. It's great for kids, and for anyone tagging along with the shopaholic. They have plenty of yummy food options--I like to eat at the food court. If it's crowded, you might have to wait for a table. It's usually crowded during weekends, and you'll have to pay attention to your bags--some people can be sketchy. The only other drawback is having to walk to get to the restrooms, it takes a couple of minutes. They are not pet-friendly. There's sufficient parking. If you go early enough parking is not terrible. Trying to get into the mall area is frustrating, there are little feeder roads that get backed up. The mall itself was mostly clean, good mix of stores and restaurants, easy to navigate. There seem to be a good amount of security and it felt very safe. The Uniqlo is huge, one of the biggest in the bay area. There's a nice mix of outlet and regular retail stores. Prices are average for any of the stores. If you want to go to the cat town, make advanced reservations because they do hit a limit for walk-in and reservations. read more

Massive circular mall in Milpitas. We were staying in the South Bay for a 49ers game and needed cooling towels. We looked up where to buy some & it alerted us to the nearest Dick's Sporting Goods. This was a warehouse of a location. So many options with 49ers merch which was great. Not so much with cooling towels but we found some and made do. The mall itself is a circular layout. No cutting across here.... You definitely get your steps in after spending a few hours at Great Mall. The Hat Club was a cool store for fitted and snapback hats. There were various stores like it and ones that sold jersey and tees that were great. The North Face store was real good and we found deals. Plenty of parking. Get there early cause you will need a few hours just to navigate the entirety of the place. No shaded parking that we saw. Maybe it was just in the area where we pulled in. read more

This is a great run of the mill, every day stuff mall. A few semi high end stores like Calvin Klein and Polo, and a lot more of the lesser expensive ones. But there's lots of parking and it's easy to walk around the entire circle. Or you can cut through the middle walkway. Shoes, clothes, goods, sports equipment, you name it. Lots of affordable restaurants. Some sit down, some fast food. A decent food court. A Dave and Busters. Kiosks. And much more. And there's a great Century movie theater connected as well as Home Depot at the edge of the parking lot. On weekends I've been to a farmers market but I'm not sure it's still active. read more

I feel like this place was designed by a Nascar enthusiast. It's just one big circle, if you go too far from a store that you want to visit, you've got to decide if you should turn back or just keep going around in a circle to get back to it. There are a lot of good stores here, especially for athletic equipment, nothing too high end like you'll find in Valley Fair though. They've got the Lego store which is surprisingly big and there is lots to do with the kids. There are also quite a few selections in the food court to choose from, which is nice. I think malls are still a place to go even if there is an option to shop online. It's good to go see the merchandise in person and probably buy something you may want in person. I went to mall management and security for help, but neither made any real effort to assist or even check lost and found properly. For a large, busy shopping center, I expected a more professional and helpful response. Losing something valuable is stressful enough -- the lack of concern and basic support from staff made it worse. This experience really changed my opinion of the mall's management. read more

When I arrived at this mall, the parking is almost full. Probably because of Christmas sales going on this weekend, but I never imagined that there are going to be a lot of cars going at the line to enter or exit this place. This mall is quite different because it is not a two-story building and basically we have to go around it by going through a circle. There are good restaurants and shops to go to especially the LEGO shop. Thankfully, it has Jollibee since it's an international fast food restaurant. This mall is decent but not as great compared to Westfield Mall in terms of atmosphere, but this is still a good place to go if you live close to it. read more

I have an horrible experience with Hollister at Great Mall today. They put the WRONG label on a sweater and placed it in the clearance aisle. This was clearly done by an employee, not a customer cause the tag looked official, not something random. When I brought it to the register, even the cashier looked confused and didn't know what to do. Then the manager showed up and instead of apologizing or trying to fix the mistake, she started making excuses. No "sorry," no effort to help, just blaming and acting like it was my fault for not noticing their error. Being unprofessional and blaming customers is seriously how they run a business or help she becomes a manager I walked out without saying a word because it was so disappointing. One of the better Malls still left standing! Great assortment of stores to choose from, lots of fun kiosks, cool food court and lots of restaurant options, this place is hopping and always full of people. Place looks very clean and well organized, and I like that it feels welcoming and not snooty. It's a family Mall, and I love that! I also like the Lego giraffe outside one of the enterences. Today I needed a new pair of sport shoes, and Asics being the best and most comfortable, I had to come to the Asics store where I found a pair I liked on sale! Yay! I noticed they had a Great Khan's Mongolian BBQ in the food court! I haven't had that in years and years! I must come back just to try this out. Today 4/14/26 i went to the mall with my girlfriend and my other friend. We were by the miniso popup that is opening tomorrow and we were looking at it interested in going. My girlfriend stepped on gum right there that was laying on the floor in front of the display and immediately started to figure off out what was on her shoe when this older white women with shorter hair in a electric wheelchair approached us and asked what we were doing. She is a worker here at the great mall Milpitas because she had a work shirt on along with a walkie talkie. I said oh nothing were trying to figure out what she stepped on, She didnt say anything and we all we quiet after that. We pulled out a tissue and cleaned it for a second and she drove off. We then started walking off and then I see her about 60 ft in front of us pull out her phone and take a photo of us with flash. Me, my girlfriend, and my friend are all above the age of 20 so im not really sure what she thought we were doing but I know for sure its not okay. I work security so i know taking a photo of someone can mean a few reasons but all of them not being good. We didnt say anything to provoke it. She saw that we knew she took a picture and drove off as fast as she can on her electric wheelchair. This is 100% not okay. Having someone working like that is a hazard to the company! I have not done a review as this is literally is close to where I live. Will say that I am glad to see Kohl's as well as the Ghirardelli's store. At the same time, I am still sad that Wonderpark and Media Play closed. Great food court that has not totally changed. TCBY has been the only holdout. That and the Chinese one. Of all of the recent ones, I like both Charleys Philly Steaks and the Teppanyaki place. It's been great to go to the part of the mall without the race track. Had to go one way. Or do plenty of exercises. Now just have to walk through a store to the other side. It does get busy on the weekends so I don't recommend it. Unless you arrive early.
