Overall, it's still convenient in a good location for shopping. Great Value brand breads are now $2.17 per loaf compared to $1.20-$1.39 not long ago and the bread size shrunk-unfortunately. English muffin and bagel prices are better than a few months ago. Cheese and eggs aren't cheap. Best value is in the frozen vegetables section. Red meats aren't cheap here. But, you can always grab a full bag of frozen red salmon/shrimp/or chicken meat for under $11 per bag. My home cooked salmon tasted great. Grab a few boxes of crackers, dips, and toppers for delicious DIY appetizers at home. Grocery section is always a blessing. Auto maintenance service isn't great. A guy who was supposed to remove a nail off one of my tires years ago didn't do it after over 4+ hours there. I reported that case to the manager. Another technician who did my oil change allowed oil leaks or didn't screw the cap tightly. Experienced it multiple times in the past. Long hours of waiting half day isn't worth the frustrations. Clothing selections are ok, but they rarely have sales deals on nicer looking items. What I didn't like is this Walmart moved the self checkout to the very back side of the checkout counters now. It's narrow, cramped, and much smaller than months ago. Inconvenient. It's probably due to previous shoplifters near the entrance and exit doors. Cashiers aren't all friendly or helpful. This spacious Walmart is an average Walmart now and nothing exciting like it was years ago.

This particular Marshalls can be hit or miss and I only go here once in a while, but when I do, I sometimes find the best things. L O C A T I O N Marshalls is located at The Great Mall in Milpitas. The parking here is nuts. It's just hard to find parking during peak shopping days and it's also nearby a restaurant so you're also competing for spots with them. Just be patient or park in areas where there's less traffic and just walk inside the mall to get to Marshalls. Luckily I've been able to find something nearby. I N S I D E It's a fairly spacious Marshalls. Home good areas is on the outer edge with clothing for women and men in the central area. Shoes are closer to the mall area entrance side. Two areas to check out. One near the mall entrance and one near the parking lot entrance. S E L E C T I O N This is where it can be a hit or miss. They sometimes have Breville appliances. I've also seen Manduka yoga mats during the beginning of the year. What I do like is that everything feels much more organized than in previous years. They had all their spring dresses out which was kind of nice! I didn't have much time, but they did have a good variety. I was here to look at yoga mats and they did have a good amount to look at, just the type of yoga mat I want wasn't there. I'm a bit particular with the surface as I do sweat a lot. But the prices were reasonable with $30 being the highest price I saw. I recall when I did see Manduka mats here, they were roughly $50-80? Which yes, it's imperfect, but it's a steal just no warranty. S E R V I C E When I've had to purchase things over the years (it's been a while folks), lines generally go fairly quickly as they do have many registers open when they see the lines becoming long. O V E R A L L Marshalls is a fun place to shop if you have time to wander through the aisles and peruse. It's rare to come across employees who are both professional and genuinely caring, and they both stood out so much because of that. The Kohl's location itself was also extremely clean, organized, and well-kept. Everything was easy to find, the displays looked neat and put together, and the store had such a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere overall. You can tell the staff works hard to keep everything running smoothly. I'm shocked to see a retail store in this sorry state. Items thrown under displays, trash and grime on the floor and shelves, items carelessly thrown around, there's no love and care at all. But, that all makes sense given that the employees are verbally harassed, yelled at, and talked down to by upper upper management. If I was consistently made to feel like I wasn't good enough by my superiors, I wouldn't put any effort or love into my work either.
