My first couple of trips there weren't bad; just typical BK experience. Then they hired a new cashier, who, when she took my order and I said, "No onions", took that as an indication that I wanted onion rings instead of French fries. Being in the food service industry myself, I didn't say anything, and figured since she was still learning, she'd have a better handle on receiving orders next week, or even in just a few days. I had faith in her! Next trip, which was just a few days after that, I ordered online first, so I wouldn't have to wait in line. Once I got there, she said they were out of lettuce, so that couldn't be in my meal. Okay, that's fine, except the thing is, I was charged for the lettuce, and instead of refunding the, what was it, 25 cents for the lettuce, or replacing it with, I don't know, an extra set of fries or something, I was charged an extra 20 cents for the takeout bag. (Which brings me to another complaint: if you're going to charge me for the bag, why not include it for pickup orders especially if there's no seating to even dine in?) Again, it was less than 50 cents, so I didn't mention anything. I'm lazy in finding my next meal, so I go in again and this same cashier is at the register. I tell her again, "I'd like a cheeseburger, NO onions." Again, she puts down, "cheeseburger, onion rings." I even tried to verbally confirm with her that she put down NO onions, and that I wanted French fries instead of onion rings. She said she did, but she didn't seem to care about wanting to get it right. She says it's around $22, which is weird, since it's usually, like, $17. So I look at the receipt and notice I got charged for both the fries AND the onion rings. I'm not big on confrontation, but I had to say something this time. I'm not an aggressive person either, so overreacting to the point where I'm being called a Karen, isn't my style. My intent behind this encounter was to say, "Hey, just so you know, you made a mistake here, like you did last time, and you should just be aware next time to at least read back what I ordered to make sure you got it right. In the meantime, can you refund me for the onion rings I didn't order?" The manager had to void my initial order and then retake it, which was when it was finally done correctly. This place is just a block away from where I live, so it's convenient for me, but I'm not sure if I'll revisit anytime soon. What I'd suggest with their customer service is, based on my negative experience, READ BACK MY ORDER BEFORE CHARGING ME. It doesn't take long, or a lot of brain power to take that extra step. I understand this cashier's primary language may not be English, and that perhaps her English isn't confident, which is totally understandable, especially with me. But save yourself and your boss the trouble and read back the order before charging me for something I didn't want. Don't hear the word "onion" and assume I also said "rings" when I clearly did not say "rings". If I DO find the heart/patience to order from this spot again, I'm definitely doing it online. I'd rather spend 20 cents and WASTE 25 cents on a lack of lettuce, than have to order in person from that establishment again. It's stupid, but paying for the takeout bag when there's no option OTHER than takeout, is a much smoother exchange than taking someone's slightly deviated order. read more

I wanted Burmese food, but the roommate didn't, so he decided to get fast food for dinner. Being the considerate roomie he is, he remembered I've been wanting to try Burger King's Mac n Cheetos. He suggested grabbing his dinner there while I was grabbing my takeout order nearby. He stopped by on Monday, July 11th around 6pm. The roommate got an A1 Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger ($6.69), Chili Cheese Grilled Dog ($2.79), and a WHOPPER JR Sandwich with Cheese meal: small French Fries, medium Coca-Cola ($8.09). He hadn't been to BK in about 10 years and this meal reminded him why. The burger meat and ingredients just aren't as good as the other fast food establishments he loves. The meat was rubbery and there wasn't any kind of grill flavor. He didn't really enjoy his meal. I used to love a good whopper junior with cheese, but taking a bite of the roommate's burger, I just got an overabundance of mayo. I was left wondering why I used to like whoppers. I love cheese so I had to try the Mac n' Cheetos: mac n' cheese covered with crispy Cheetos flavor and served warm ($2.99 for 5 pcs). They were lukewarm by the time I got home and very cheesy, but the mac inside was kind of mushy. And though I love macaroni and cheese from the blue box, I found these to be too artificial tasting. And I love cheetos, but I'm more of a crunchy cheeto fan than a puff fan. I'm still glad I tried them. Although, once was probably enough. There are many other fast food joints better than BK. I personally enjoy Burger King and the food here tends to be on par with what I expect. But the service here is horrible. I ordered and paid online through their mobile app and when going to pick it up the cashier was absolutely furious I did not have the extra 20 cents fee for a bag I had no clue about. After she demanded for the 20 cents a few times I told her I'll take my food without a bag. Because what choice do I have? I already paid for my food and I didn't have any change. Finally the cashier afterwards essentially scolded me telling me I need to have the 20 cents for a bag next time and gave me my food and a bag finally after going back and forth with her. On top of this the wait time at this location is very long. You could be the only one there and your food will still easily take 15 minutes to be ready. If you really need to come to this location carry 20 cents with you or apparently you just might not get your food. read more

( I also checked with the health department website and it notes that both inspections were unscheduled.) I came in to pick up two mobile orders, one for myself and one for my somewhat challenged friend who I physically place his ordered on his phone for him.. Our orders were single items and identical. I order the both with the phones side by side, completing the orders at the same time. We both got order confirmation screens, receipt emails, and consecutive order numbers.. When I arrived, his order, the first of the two was not on record. A baffled clerk went for her manager and she was off the bat, dismissive and borderline rude. I identified my order and his by name, item, and customization. (Again. Identical). I went as far as to try and have my friend forward his email receipt to me but unfortunately sent a screen shot of the top of the email without record of item or payment. Her attitude of being "it your problem " was very unsettling. Also in addition to the unsettling, was the amount of people in the lobby.
