Came in haven't been to burger basket in ages. Asian lady was friendly and helpful. Burger had a good char on it and tasted like a good old fashioned cheeseburger came with nice crisp large fries but not steak fries and a drink for $14. Small burger spot that was bright and inviting.

Looks unassuming on the outside but once I finally decided to try Burger Basket, it became my go-to burger place in LA! I literally can't go anywhere else anymore! Their burgers are cooked fresh and have a super good, umami flavor with plenty of veggies. I love their fries too! There is an option to order ahead by phone to save time. The staff are always super nice and friendly. Free parking lot. Highly recommend you come check this old, family-run restaurant out!

Fries drenched in oil
Christina X.

This place used to be so much better a few years ago. The bun was burnt, and the tomato was about five times thicker than the meat patty -- no exaggeration. And the fries... my goodness. They were absolutely drenched in oil. My heart's still racing after just a few bites, which tells you how bad that oil must have been. You can see from the photo how soggy and greasy they were. For prices comparable to In-N-Out, the least they could do is use fresh oil. Sadly, I won't be coming back.

Double Cheeseburger, Corn Dog

Old school burger joint with great food. Prices were nice and the two owners were great. It's a small spot but easy to take your food on the go if there's no space. I got a double cheeseburger with fries and a corn dog. Everything was just right. Corn dog was crispy and fluffy at the same time and the burger was a classic. Good honest food for a decent price. Like I said there isn't much room to sit but they get your order up and out quick and they make it all in front of you. Parking is a little tight but there's plenty on the street around.

Exterior- typical urban LA style lol

A family owned burger spot that's been around for almost 60 years and is a bit under the radar - with a simple menu and very reasonable prices. The fries were perfect and service was so friendly we felt like we knew everyone. They were so friendly in fact that my hubby asked me when we left "did you know them?" lol! We were craving burgers and both went with double cheeseburgers and some fries to share. They made our order fresh on the spot too which I really liked. And it's an open concept kitchen so you can watch them while they cook. The small fry portion is quite generous and more than we could finish between us. They were delicious- perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. Definitely very excellent fries here. Our burgers were ok - the meat and buns were delicious- great flavors and very nicely grilled. Their thousand island sauce is good too. But the lettuce was very soggy and wilted - I had to take it off my burger. And the cheese they use had a strong flavor similar to the prepackaged Kraft American slices that I really dislike. If they had used fresh lettuce and a better quality cheese those burgers would've been amazing. The restaurant is definitely a bit divey and if it wasn't for the "A" health score, I probably wouldn't have given it a try - the seating area is in need of a serious deep clean and the chairs need to be replaced badly lol. But their prices are insanely inexpensive- especially given our current levels of inflation lol. They're located in a very busy spot with plenty of easy parking and they're easy to find.

French fry with ketchup! Yum. This is why i like having a ketchup squeeze bottle.

A nice local burger joint. Got a pastrami cheese burger (was the daily special, not sure if it's always available) It's a cheeseburger topped with pastrami. It's not the best iteration of a pastrami cheeseburger that I've had, but it gets the job done. Had a thick slice of tomato and hand leafed lettuce. Came with french fries and a pickle. The french fries were of standard quality and satisfying enough. There was a ketchup bottle to use so I had no problem keeping the flow of ketchup consistent on my fries. The service was on the slower end but it wasn't horrible or anything, but could have been a one off. I would be prepared for a wait if I saw a lot of folks chilling around. The service was very polite and welcoming, so as long as I wasn't in a rush, I wouldn't mind giving them a few more minutes. Venue is very small, a little cramped almost. I think most people would prefer to sit on the tables outside or just take the order to-go. The seats are cracked so it definitely looks kind of old and run down, but the food is fine. Given this place's location, I'd probably compare it to Jim's further down the street. Jim's might be a better option in a vacuum but if I were approaching from the east I'd probably stop here for food instead of going all the way.

Authentic 80's food truck pastrami with plenty of pickles and mustard! Generous portion! Today's bread seems soft. Hope next time be more crisp. Pastrami flavors are always great! Soda refill $1.00 . Friendly service and old fashion burger joint interior.

This is a small burger place in the 626 area. I did not realize of this place after living here for 4 years. There is a small parking lot. They have their A/C on in the cold weather. Because of that, we order our burger to go. We ordered a double cheese burger with fries. I used the Yelp check-in offer for a cheese burger, and a side of fries. The cheese burger is decent to me. The patty was cook perfectly. However, the fries was a bit disappointed. They were soggy. Thank you for the check-in offer. I am grateful. When I ordered the food, the chef was standing by to get the order ready. He was wearing chef uniform. This shows his dedication and respect for his job. I will come back again to try their fish and chip.

Have been coming here for years, just because of how amazing the food is and how friendly the staff are! Food - I typically order a double cheeseburger with fries well done. With the fries well done, it just tastes so much better. You guys need to try it! The burger is so flavorful and enough to keep you full. Service - always fast, attentive and so friendly. The employees are always working so hard and they will always greet you with the biggest smiles. They have other things like fish and chips which I also would like to try out in the future. Ambiance - it's more of an older building with few tables inside and I believe 2 patio tables. I have never dined here before but I can tell you that the employees have always been so sweet to me. I may try to dine in sometimes

Order through delivery app. The fish & chips were alright, fish was deep fried nicely. Crunchy batter. The pastrami sandwich had too much pickle so it was way too sour.... The burger didn't look too appetizing, thin patty.

I chose spicy for our cauliflower bites, and not gonna lie--the heat made my nose run! lol which meant it was pretty awesome! My kids had the sliders and I've got to say, it's giving some of my favorite chicken fast food joints a run for their money as far as tenderness and flavor! I enjoyed the cheese fries as well along with a nice helping of pickles. Very yummy with spicy food. The service was fast and friendly and we enjoyed our meal as we ate it in the dining room. The ambiance was a cool 80s music vibe and honestly I'm into it! I definitely recommend Dave's and I'm happy to say, spicy or not, I'll be back for seconds!

We've brought burgers home only to find that the buns were burned, the beef patties have been close to charred, wrong orders other times food up to in n out standards. There's been times when we've dined in and there's no one wiping tables so we've had to ask someone to do it, other times there's been a designated person doing all this. The bathrooms sometimes clean sometimes not. and it's not due to the time of day cus we've been here during rush hour, light hours drive thru and dine in.... Not sure that I have seen same employees there, seems there's often new faces. HOWEVER, one thing that we thought was being maintained was the customer service but that changed instantly with last nights visit. The register young man, Dylan was quite something. He was not welcoming whatsoever- it was like he was upset we came in. When ordering his face was stone cold, no manners, tone of voice was rude. We were being naturally courteous but he was not returning the manners. He had a condescending tone & expressionless face. Not sure of his age, but it honestly reminded me of a teenager whose parents had reprimanded him and now he had an attitude. It's like cmon you're at the register face to face with people. it's an interaction of a few minutes with each paying customer If you can't deal with the volume of people interaction, that's not the place for you. Anyway, one of the young ladies wiping tables over heard my husband and I discussing the experience and she approached us and asked me what's going on. I explained it to her and she apologized on his behalf and said she'd bring the manger over to talk to us. Couple of minutes went by and she came back and said I told the supervisor and they will have a talk with him. I could be wrong but there was no obvious supervisor there (or at least one that took the complaint seriously) at nearly 10pm. Within 5 mins that same young lady, the register young man and another young man that was wiping tables, were exchanging laughs, not sure about that. We didn't ask for the manager nor did we need to see the manager because we weren't looking to get anything. But anyway, yea this in n out is mid, like rest. Hit or miss.
