Coke products a must and so glad they had that as well. A switch to Coke Zero would be nice over Diet Coke. The burger size matched the the sesame bun! A big deal. Cooked leaving no pink. Iceberg lettuce (I prefer leafy green). 2 Bright red, fresh slices of tomatoes. Grilled onions. No pickles. The fries were piping hot. I was super hungry after my lab works. This was closest food joint and luckily they had a veggie garden burger. This was no frill simple burger. I asked them to add Avacado and was charged $1.5 which was ok. They get the burger on the table. This one had no cheese. Some caramel used onions, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno pickle, patty with a bun. The outside looks like a barn, the inside is nicely decorated with photos of classic cars from "The Outcasts" Car Club that meets here every Tuesday from 4 PM to Closing. What a great show they put on AND it's FREE! Now for the food: OUTSTANDING! I have been here several times and have tried just about everything on the menu. Great burgers, fries, fish and chips, breakfasts, hash browns and fried chicken (special honey batter). The pancakes are excellent but the best thing I have tried are their hand scooped milk shakes. The way a shake I remember tasting in the 1960's. Everything is cooked fresh to order and the ingredients seem to be a very high quality. Sausage patty was everything I was craving in my 8 months being pregnant. Hashbrowns were perfectly cooked, crispy out mushy middle. Eggs were cooked as asked and perfectly. The French toast was delicious BUT undercooked. Too mushy on the inside for me. So I ate around the edges. But I'd totally go back and just ask for longer cooked in case that's how they always cook it. Over all 3 stars. It was delicious and satisfying. OK so I was not going to write a review on Burger Barn because I only bought a strawberry milkshake. Butt it was so darn good I had to let everyone know. it was simply one of the best shakes I have had in years!!! And I should know cuz I'm the ice cream man lol. The Burger Bar has been in business for many years the last time I went here I was probably about 8 years old. I generally treat myself out every Friday. I always treat myself out the Friday before my birthday. Last year I took the kids to Lunchbox but this year I am in a financial bind so I Yelped what was not only nearby but cheap as well. Right next to Krung Thai. This place has a very small parking lot. A lot of time for me it is the service more than the price and overall turnout of my meal. I ordered: a corn dog, an order of fries, a hamburger, and a Philly cheesesteak. The fries came w/ my Philly but I wouldn't order the fries again; frozen from a bag. The burger was for my daughter but it looked appealing, she didn't have a single complaint. The corn dog is very small, probably from the frozen food section, too. That was for my little man whom took off all the batter to eat the dog itself. My Philly cheesesteak was extremely juicy and tender but rather bland. It needed a lot more provolone (wish Cheez Whiz was offered though). My one complaint is the roll. This place virtually takes me back to the 1960s when my mum would stop at a place called "Red Barn" to buy me a hot dog as a treat. Back then, fast food places were a luxury and we really couldn't afford to eat out much, living on a military salary with my dad out to sea. Burger Barn's building reminds me a lot of Red Barn. It has a small dining room, along with some outdoor seating. My buddy and I looked over the menu for a while. They have some extra items just as you enter from Winchester Blvd. Between burgers and pastrami, I chose clam strips. $6.99 seems a reasonable price for clam strips and fries. The strawberry milk shake was $2.59, I believe. That's not bad. My buddy chose a burger, fries, and soda. Everything came, with tax, to just under $20.00. It took a while, and the woman behind the counter was running food out to customers. I wondered if the drinks were waiting for the food and she said a couple of times "I haven't forgotten your milk shake", so I must have looked impatient. Oops. When the food arrived, I was disappointed that the fries and sauces took most of the plate and the clam strips were a small portion. When I got in, it was very small and I felt like I was in somebody's view from their table. I ordered the Barn Burger ($5.49), fries ($1.59 or 1.99 for large), and a vanilla milkshake ($2.99) for $11 flat. The milkshake was the one that increased the total above $10. Since this place was pretty small inside, I had to wait for the people that ordered their food to-go to leave so I could sit down. There were seats outside but it was raining when I went here. Once my meal was made, they actually walked over to my table and gave me the tray. The Barn Burger was good and the way it was served was on a roll instead of a bun. The fries were not greasy and the milkshake was good. I did see somebody's Chili Burger which looked pretty good. I will probably order that the next time I come by here. You might have to be patient about the seating since it was very limited. If you need to use the bathroom, then you need to get a key from them. read more

The Burger Barn is a an old fashioned divey burger joint housed in a building the shape of the bar. It's located on Winchester just north of Valley Fair. It's kind of a bad location and if you're not looking for it you might miss it. I can picture that this was established as a 50s drive-in in the middle of nowhere, where a barn would look more normal. I walked in and there is a long counter with two registers on one side and seating on the other. The menu is literally all over the place. The food offerings are printed on big placards around the restaurant and they aren't repeated. It was kind of obnoxious to physically walk around to look at the menu. Breakfast is served all day and one corner was devoted entirely to breakfast. As the name suggests, the place serves burgers, including several varieties along with fried sides (fries, rings, etc.) and shakes. I addition there is a large variety of fish and fried seafood. After deciding I placed my order. There was no one in line in front of me. I ordered a California Burger and Onion Rings. It was about $9 total. Luckily, this place takes credit cards even though it doesn't look like it would. I waited about 10 minutes for my food. I ordered it to go and just kind of hung out near the breakfast menu corner. I don't know why it took so long to get my food. There was no one else ordering food. It finally arrived. The burger was just ok. I think it was a preformed frozen patty which is never that tasty. The cheese was American slices. The guacamole was plentiful. The lettuce and tomato were finely chopped and tasted a little like dirt. The onion rings were good but I didn't get very many for the price. The whole experience was ok. I probably wouldn't return. Pros: ok food, fried everything, outdoor patio, breakfast all day. Among the fancy schmancy restaurants around the Santana Row/Westfield area is Burger Barn: a humble mom's and pop's burger joint that has been around for years. My boyfriend hasn't been to Burger Barn in 15 years, and as we were walking in he recalled fond memories of eating there with his late nonna. I admittedly have passed up and passed by Burger Barn my whole life, but I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was... a prime example of never judging a book by its cover. I felt badly since we walked in almost 15 minutes to closing time, but the cook greeted us with a smile and was totally willing to cook for us still. Furthermore, the cashier/server was super friendly, patient, and helpful with our orders. I ordered the jalapeno bacon cheeseburger, and I thought that my burger was amazing. I would even go as far to say that it was one of the best burgers I've had in 2017. Most of the time I want a solid, basic burger without the bullshit. Just good flavors coming together and giving me the comfort I need. The patty was well seasoned, bacon was nice and crunchy, lettuce was crisp, tomato was fresh, grilled onions added a bit of sweetness, and the canned jalapenos provided the perfect amount of spicy kick I needed. It basically tasted like it was homemade but better than a homemade one I could make lol. What I also appreciated about my burger was how it wasn't dripping all over the place. The bread kept together and didn't soak nor sog up at all. In fact, I didn't feel like my hands were greasy after eating any of the food, including the deep fried sides. That's Burger Barn, the kind of divey local burger joint that used to be all over the place before the burger chains came in with their operational efficiency and killed most of them off. Stepping into Burger Barn is like going back in time. Seriously. This place has a full-on late 60's-70's feel all the way. In addition to serving many variations of their namesake food item, Burger Barn serves breakfast all day. That's a big deal apparently because they put it on their sign. They also offer linguica and fries, as well as chorizo and fries. There is also a big section of their menu dedicated to fried stuff: cheese sticks, fried shrimp, fried scallops, fried clams, even more fried stuff than I can recall at the moment. I witnessed two fellows eating mass quantities of fried stuff at the table next to me today. They even got up mid-meal and ordered more fried stuff, so it may be good. Being Burger Barn, I didn't let the shiny fried things distract me. I was on a protein mission, so I ordered a Blue Burger. This was a quarter pound patty with two slices of fried ham, three slices of cheese and some blue cheese spread. I also ordered fries because I didn't want my burger to feel all alone on the plate. I also took a refreshing Coca Cola to wash it down down down. At $11.48, this was not a cheap meal by burger standards, but I'll throw a few extra drachma to the local guy any time. The service was fast and friendly. The burger and fries were brought to my table on a paper plate. I liked the taste. It was a typical dive burger. It's not a threat to the burger chains and their highfalutin, laboratory-created, perfecto-burgers, but it hit the spot. I also loved the laid-back, friendly vibe. People were talking to each other from table to table. I thought I was going to avoid the social niceties and just scarf down my meal, but when I stood up to leave, eye contact from a stranger.
