Average food at a high price. I had a 10 oz burger with provolone cheese and avocado with Cajun fries. I asked for medium and the burger came out well done. The provolone was also square shaped on the burger and only covered about 3/4 of it, so I'm guessing they just used the presliced sandwich slices. They also used what I guess was about 1/4 of an avocado. Sooooo.... Not exactly worth it or what I expected. The burger wasn't bad mind you, just average and not juicy at all. The rest of my group all got 6 oz cheeseburgers which looked very blah. I will say, the French fries were good. Very crispy and soft inside. Probably the high point of the meal. There's not really any service to speak of as they take your order at the counter by the door then you come up and get your food yourself, and they expect you to bus your own tables. So consider tipping optional and unnecessary. Inside it's a bit old and a bit rundown. Not dirty but not well maintained either. The only reason I came was because we wanted to get sliders, which as far as I can tell they don't even sell. So the name is a misnomer. The total for everything was around $80. I was really excited to try this spot with my husband. We ordered two burgers and an order of fries. I'm glad they have a toppings bar so you can grab all your fixings to build your burger. I got a hamburger no cheese and the patty was definitely juicy. It had a nice bite, the bun was sturdy, and all was well. However, even with toppings, I feel like the meat just lacked flavor. The fries were great and provided that nice salty addition but I expected more from the meat. I thought it was just my burger, so I tried my husband's cheeseburger and found his to lack flavor as well. Stopped by Sliders Burgers on a Saturday evening. Theres approximately 8 tables and a countertop area. There was no wait, just a few people dining in, and the gentleman who took our order was really nice and welcoming. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger in a lettuce wrap and the Cali Dreamer lettuce wrap, plus sweet potato fries and a cup of chili. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was quick -- our burgers came out in about 10 minutes, which was great. Easy, friendly, and satisfying. I'd definitely return for another quick, tasty meal. read more

My son and I checked out Sliders Burgers where I hadn't been to for many years. There are a variety of patties you can order. I like that they have six oz. to 12 oz. beef patties. They also have wagyu beef and exotic patties like lamb, elk, bison, ostrich, turkey, wild boar, salmon and even impossible burgers to choose from. Tons of appetizers. I like that you can add your own condiments and produce to your burger or even to your chicken sandwich or hot dog. Service was great! It had a very retro atmosphere and I loved the burger mural on the wall. My oldest son saw this place online last week and asked if we could try it. I'm a burger fan so of course I agreed. When you order your burger, it's only patty, buns, and add-ons. Once you get your burger, there is a separate place that you can add all your veggies and extra toppings as well as different sauces. This was a good idea so you can add as much or as little of the veggies as you desire. Most of the burgers, they ask how you want it cooked which is great since I don't like my patties cooke well. My older son order the beefalo burger which contains one beef patty and one wagyu patty. He had his burger made medium rare. He didn't add any veggies or condiments. His burger was juicy and tasted really good as is. His burger came with fries and both my boys were fighting for the fries. They said it was crisp. My youngest son built his own burger and opted for the wagyu burger with American cheese. He had his cooked medium rare and did not put any veggies or condiments either. His patty was pretty thick and was juicy but he said that it was a little salty. He still liked the burger. I ordered the ostrich burger and added pepper jack cheese with mushrooms. This is my first time having ostrich meat. The ostrich patty was cooked medium and I can definitely taste the difference between beef. The texture was tough and not juicy but tasted really good. I did not know which condiments to put that goes with the burger so I put the secret sauce. The mushroom was very flavorful and tender. If you like mushrooms, I highly recommend adding it to your burger. They have a good amount of sauces so you will have to experiment to see which goes well with you burger. I came here one evening after wanting to eat a burger. I ordered the beast burger and the mushroom Swiss burger which both come with fries. The beast burger is a 1/2 pound patty mixed with elk, bison, wagyu, and wild boar with pepper jack cheese on top. The mushroom Swiss burger came with 1/2 pound beef patty with Swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms. The patties were both under salted but you could adjust and modified your seasonings by adding seasonings or use their condiment bar. The condiment bar had various burger toppings you can customize from tomatoes, to lettuce to pickles to black olives. Then there's various sauces you can add like their secret sauce and ketchup. This place can be easy to miss given its location in a strip mall, next to a dealership. So glad we stopped, it did not disappoint. Came with a big group and it was not too busy, so we luckily had seating. You order at the counter, which is right when you walk in. They also have great side options, I would just check because some of their menu burgers already come with fries (I missed that when ordering). It's an absolute yes from me! They have so many different options for food. Right when we walked in we were greeted by the workers. They were so kind and so patient as we read through all of the food. We both got burgers, one with a side of fried zucchinis and the other with sweet potato fries. The burgers come out plain and they have a condiments bar with sauces and other toppings. I personally LOVED the sautéed jalapeños. It was a game changer! My cousin saw this restaurant on IG but don't believe the hype here, as I was unimpressed with the food and service. Mozzarella sticks 10 pieces ($11.95): these were decently flavored with a crispy exterior, although the cheese pull was minimal, 3.5/5 stars. Mushroom swiss burger ($14.95): there was barely any mushrooms, while the burger was dry, bland, and overall it was low-quality. I can make a significantly better burger at home, 2/5 stars French fries: typical frozen fries but it's inferior to McDonald's version, 3/5 stars. I was coming home from dinner. My friends are vegans, so we had vegetables, though everything was really good, but I knew I was going to be hungry later. So on my way back, I stopped here for a burger. They came up as one of the best places to have one. They close at 10, and I got there around 9:30. Me: Can I get food to go? He: Sure, come on in! I ordered the Rodeo but I should've ordered the Big Messy. I was looking forward to a bacon cheeseburger. However, that Rodeo was sooooo goood! Came with some nice crispy fries. The staff is really nice! They have a small dining room but it works. My only issue was being hassled by this homeless guy outside. Immaculate, the beef taste so good. The fries are those extra crispy ones that are breaded, soo good, I'm a fry girl and these are fire. Onion rings crunchy and slice on bite, so onion is cooked right. The vibes are super cute and old classic burger vibe. The guy in the grill even wears glasses haha so giving the cool vibe as well! Just finished my first experience eating at Sliders Burger in San Jose, and I'm going to give a mixed bag of a review. We chose the restaurant based on a recommendation from our neighbour, when we asked who had the best burger in San Jose. I told the recommending person that I was looking for a place to get a big juicy burger at a venue who is actually willing to cook a burger medium rare, and had high quality ingredients. Here are my thoughts... Food quality: Great. Full points in this regard. High quality produce, option for wagyu beef (which I spent the $7 extra to get). Atmosphere: So-so. Like many diners it's 50s themed. Staff: Very friendly, very personable. Came and checked on us during our meal, even though it's a "order at the counter and seat yourself" experience. Always appreciated. Food Prep/Cooking: This is where I wasn't sure if I should even give a 4, and was tempted to go down to a 3. I ordered a 20-something dollar burger, medium rare, and specified that I wanted it pink. It got cooked medium to medium-well. Pretty wasteful and disappointing for such great quality meat. My fiancé ordered her standard burger medium, and it came out juicy, beautiful, and pink inside - what I wanted mine to be. Sides: Had the fries, and they are delicious. Overall, would have called this a 3.5, but I can't rate with that scale of granularity. Between everything, we paid around $75 for 2 Modelos, a Mexican coke, my wagyu beef swiss mushroom burger, and her standard burger. Will I come back and have it again? I will. Would I run out to my friends and tell them how awesome it is? Nah, but I wouldn't talk anyone out of it either. Give it a try, see for yourself. But, the ability to cook a burger to order is a big determining factor for me, personally, when it comes to a high end burger joint, which Sliders Burger definitely aims to be. read more

This place is really good!! 19 years in business and tonight I found out why. I ordered a bacon avocado burger medium well. The register guy was friendly and even broke a hundred dollar bill for me. They offer a small discount on your bill if you pay in cash. I received a buzzer and took a seat. There are a few tables inside, plenty of seating and a TV. In as much time as it takes to cook a burger medium well, my buzzer went off. They have a station where you get to decorate your burger however you want. This little table kept all the toppings super fresh. I grabbed pickles and onion for my burger and a side of special sauce. This burger was cooked perfectly, had great flavor, the toppings were fresh, the bun was toasted... what more do you want? Will definitely be back when in the area. read more

Small burger shop with a big menu! I had this burger shop saved for a while, so we were finally able to come by for Friday dinner. I was worried that it would be super busy, but when we got there it wasn't too bad. The area that it's in isn't great, but I would just suggest to go during the day or at least park under a street lamp. For reference a store in the same plaza was robbed a few days before our visit. When we got inside, I really didn't realize how small the place was. There were a good amount of people that were already seated, but didn't have their food yet. So I was worried that the food would take long. We waited in line to order and there were 2 people ahead of us in line. It was taking a little long to order, but I think the people in line in front of us were just indecisive. We ordered a regular burger, a wagyu burger, and fries. Our food took about 15 minutes which wasn't too bad. One thing that I did like was that all the burger toppings and condiments were at a little condiment bar in the front. So you can go up and put whatever you wanted. The wagyu burger I got was really good! And I think it was an 8oz patty. The 8oz was bigger than I thought and I thought I wasn't going to be able to finish it! The fries were really good too! We really liked the seasoning that they used. I opted for the breakfast burger with beef patties, but if you want to be bold, you can build your own burger with random meats (ostrich, boar, elk, etc) for 6-$12 a patty, so not too bad. I also ordered wings too... which were ok. The sauce was waaaay spicy and they used way too much, so it made the wings kinda soggy. As for the place itself, it's a shopping center, so there's easy parking and a few tables inside. It's on the smaller side so the tables can be luxury if it's busy, but I found a seat pretty easy. I went for lunch after 2 and it wasn't too busy. Order at the counter and there is a buzzer to tell you when your order is ready. The combo includes fries and a soda (small size I think), and I ordered the 10 oz. beef patty, no cheese, just so I could clearly taste the beef. The gourmet burger choices looked very good though, and next time I would definitely try one of them, as the fries didn't appeal to me. The fries were fried well but the taste of oil was noticeable; if you are sensitive to the taste or quality of the frying oil being used the fries may not be for you. At least the frying oil didn't taste that old. I did try the secret sauce and it was decent; again, if you are sensitive to the ingredients used for sauces (like seed oils), you may want to pass. The condiment bar looked ok, good selection of basic items. The best thing and what would induce me to come back was the burger. I had ordered medium well but the cook was closer to medium well, almost well. However, the beef patty was still juicy, and not at all dried it, and there was no burning or charring of the patty surface. I don't know if the patties are made in-house, so the extra doneness is probably safer, so it's great they can keep the burger juicy. This seems to be a spot where you can get a thicker patty and be confident with how it turns out. The bacon I ordered as an add-on was cooked properly as well, crispy and not burnt. Coke products here and the mixing was decent. Service at the counter was great. Condition of the interior is ok, the restroom condition could look better. The restaurant feels cozy inside despite the neighborhood. Finding a spot for parking shouldn't be difficult but you may have to drive around through the lot. They had a lot of great options to chose from. I normally always get a western style burger with BBQ sauce, onion rings , bacon and chedder cheese. I had the option to get some sweet potato fries and everything came out perfectly. Great tasting burger overall. They have a couple house sauces that were a great addition to the burger & also to dip the fries into. I love the fact that they had a self service topping bar.
