Their Instagram post stated they were there until 8 PM so we lined up at 7:20 with 2 people in front of us. There were already about 4 other groups there waiting, we had no idea how long. Ten minutes pass and the worker finally takes the order of the first person in line, then he turns to the second person and says he'll be with him shortly and starts prepping and cooking the food. After about another 10-15 minutes, the worker takes the order of the second person. We're up next but the worker doesn't acknowledge us, all the while giving the orders to the other people waiting and prepping the ones he already had. We wait another 10 minutes so it's about 7:54 PM by now. The worker finally turns to us and apologizes for the wait. We say we would like to order a deluxe burger and cheesesteak fries but he stops us and says that they're all out of burgers because they only planned to be there until 8 PM. Just some feedback for the business: * have a loudspeaker or yell a little louder for orders, it'll help speed up the process so nobody is wondering if their order is ready * acknowledge customers in line, especially if you're running out of time and ingredients * maybe have "Sold Out" stickers/labels to indicate that you're out of something offered on the menu * maybe get a second person in the kitchen, one to take orders and one to prep/cook * if getting a second worker isn't possible, maybe take the orders in batches and then turn around to cook/prep. It'll speed up the process We hope to try this place in the future, but as far as our experience goes today, the food truck was a disappointment.

The portions are serious, the chicken is juicy, and the breading has a great crunch. What really sets them apart for me is the spice. I've had levels 3, 4, and 5, and they're not simply the same seasoning with progressively more heat. Each level actually has a different pepper profile and flavor. Level 3 brings cayenne and Thai chili, level 4 moves into Thai chili and habanero, and level 5 adds habanero and ghost pepper. You can taste the difference, not just feel more burn. The seasoned fries are great too and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. It is a little pricey for a chicken sandwich and fries, but when you see the size and quality of what you're getting, I think it's worth it. Scratch is easily one of my favorite hot chicken spots.

I think a handful of years ago it was $12.99 or so and now it's $17.99, and they limit the customizations to 5 whereas it was unlimited (or at least I didn't hit the the limit) before. So the value isn't as strong as it was before, and actually, it's of questionable value at full price. Service was good, the store looked clean and comfortable to sit in. So overall, I liked it. The bathroom was clean and stocked but again with the price point of the menu I would not expect to see this level of age at this place. Last issue I had was the server was just standing hovering when we were paying the bill on the little hand held machine. Servers need to give customers some space and it's not like the place was packed and she needed the machine back right away. I remembered this place to be better. I also ordered the Savage Fries which are equivalent to Animal Fries since they have cheese, grilled onions and DG secret sauce. I knew right away from the smell coming off the truck that they hand make their patties and they are fresh. No yucky frozen patties over here. They actually use Halal meat that is seasoned with garlic. Once I got my food I was literally drooling over how good it looked and smelled. The patty was indeed hand made, it had that uneven shape like when you make burgers at home. The burger was incredible, season well, nice thick patty and it was juicy. The bun was nicely toasted and held up well to the sauce and the grilled onions were on point but they were a bit heavy handed with it. The Savage Fries were good as well, they use thin shoestring fries which had a nice crisp to them and didn't get soggy. I think they should have added a bit more sauce though but other than that they were good. My pictures really don't do the burger and fries justice but this was probably the best burger that I've had from a food truck and I'm all for that home made patty. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend trying them if you come across their truck!
