I decided to try this place since a one of my favorite YouTubers mentioned it and he said that the burgers are really good here. He went to the one in Sacramento, but I went to the one in San Jose since I reside in the Bay Area. Another location is at Fairfield. The restaurant doesn't really have any customers when I arrived. It was really empty. Workers started preparing meals as soon as I ordered and along with other customers, who came here not that long ago. The burger is very good though. I can really tell that it's done well with the way the texture looks. The fries are very thin but crispy at the same time. Basically, this is a very underrated restaurant and it deserves more recognition. Hopefully, business owners do something about it other than promoting it on social media. I guess the only way is to spread the word to your family and friends.
A nice burger joint! I've been to this location few times and it's been pretty consistent in food. Service is fast and food is fresh. I love their chicken sandwich and it's up there, but arguably not the best. However, I really like the buns they use which is why I like to go back here. Their fries are thin cut and I like their bacon cheese fries. We tried their wild fries, which is similar to in n outs animal style fries, but my fiance and I aren't a huge fan of it. I think the nacho cheese throws us off but not bad for what it is. Overall, this is a convenient spot to go to! Price is a bit high but food comes out fresh and piping hot. Will be back!
I don't like having burgers out to eat but it sounded really good for dinner tonight but we were so worn out after a busy weekend and then spending the day at great America that we did not want to go home and cook. I was a little worried when we walked in at dinner time and it was empty but we figured we were already here, so might as well try it. I'm so glad we did. It was delicious. My son said he didn't want fries, but they were so good he proceeded to steal most of mine. My husbands onion rings looked good, but I was too full after my burger I couldn't even steal a bite. My son was happy with his wings.
Ordered online for pickup & it was ready when I got there. I like how you can see them cooking the burgers right there on the grill. While ordering online, I thought I was ordering onion rings instead of fries, but really it was to add an onion ring on the burger, which was a nice surprise when I unwrapped it. The workers were super nice and the place was clean. I was the only one in there getting an order in the afternoon. Burger was pretty good! Quality ingredients, I'd be back again. Fries were standard but good.
The place was clean and welcoming, the staff was friendly and polite. We ordered the buffalo chicken fries and the bacon cheeseburger. The fries had like diced crispy tenders on top of crispy shoe string fries with buffalo, ranch and cheese- 12/10. The bacon cheeseburger was wrapped in an old school foil wrap which I loved, it tasted like a backyard charbroiled flavor- 10/10
Decent fries and lots of parking makes it an easy pick for a quick snack. Ordering is self service and its nothing fancy. In $10 i got their grilled cheese combo which was 2 slices of cheese melted in a bun with side of fries and their special sauce alongwith a choice of drink from their soda fountain. What did interest me was the hidden breakfast menu that i plan to try next time.
The service here is always friendly and attentive. The food is always grilled fresh or fried on the spot the moment you order is when they start cooking. The place is very spacious and booths are clean. The fries are so yummy that salt is not needed and the meat portions to me are overwhelming as they give you a generous portions and I can never finish my sandwich. They also give you house sauce on the house. There is plenty of parking and your order should be done no more than 10 mins...and you can even hear, see them cooking your food.
Fred's Burger is a classic burger place located in a business park with a few other restaurants like Starbucks, Bagel Street Cafe, Provident Credit Union, etc. Parking can be challenging during peak hours. The service was nice and friendly. Order and pay at the counter/register. You'll get a number then find a seat inside the air-conditioned store or there is an open outdoor dining area for all the shops. The menu is small, simple, and basic. Classic burgers, chicken sandwiches, hotdogs, fries, soda, and milkshakes. Cheeseburger: flame grilled beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, and house sauce. The burger was tasty and juicy. The produce tasted fresh, and the bun was toasty and soft. It was a bit pricey, but I thought it was good. With all the inflation of everything, it's to be expected. Support your local businesses!
Location: San Jose off Technology drive, near San Jose Airport. Ambiance and Decor: Black and Red painted walls. Simple interior wall highlighting their restaurant statement," You've tried the rest, now have the Best." Counter ordering. Service: During my visit with my son we both ordered the Double cheeseburger with wild fries. Food: Double Cheese burger. Still love at first bite. They have been consistent with flame grill burger. Drippin with moisture that gets all over your grill and hands. Their added sauce just makes the bite that much enjoyable. The burgers are bigger than the Habit if people are wondering, without the obnoxiousness (joking, not joking). Their Wild Fries are fries covered in cheese, grilled onions and their saucy AF chipotle sauce. Then fries itself is a meal so self indulge responsibly. Overall: 5/5 totally worth the visit. Come in with an empty tummy cuz this burger will get you full.
One of the best burgers I've had. The fries were fresh and crispy. Ordered the double cheeseburger with bacon and fresh sliced jalapeños. The buns were soft and delicious. It was like eating a homemade hamburger. Plenty of parking and the restaurant is clean with plenty of seating. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of San Jose. Went on a Saturday so very quiet.
I came in on a Tuesday evening & was craving a really good burger and decided to give this place a try. I will say, this place did not disappoint at all. I ordered their cheeseburger combo and swapped out the regular fries for the wild fries (they're topped with cheese, grilled onions & house sauce). Their house sauce is very unique and nothing like I've ever tried or tasted before. It has an interesting kick at the end, but it is honestly one of those sauces that you either like it or you don't. I really enjoyed the fact that the patty had the char marks similar to the one's you see on tv lol. The burger was pretty juicy and seasoned nicely. The fresh ingredients of lettuce and tomato pair nicely to complement the burger. The only thing that was a small issue was the tiny fly's flying around the table when we sat down. It was a bit annoying trying to eat our food and have to keep swatting our hands at them to avoid them from landing on our food. Aside from that, they have really friendly service, clean restrooms and an old school burger joint vibe to it.
So happy to add Fred's as a go-to burger joint in the area. Everything was fresh, made to order and cooked to perfection. It's a standard burger joint so think: hamburger, cheeseburger, hot dogs with all the fixings. The menu is standard with side of fries and if you're in the mood for a sweet treat they've got shakes. Plenty of parking and the establishment is clean with wonderful service. Can't really ask for more from a spot for a quick bite,

Today, I'm in Silicon Valley. I know this Shop got a lot of locations, but I'm here at this one. I'm here at Fred's Burger this Noon. I went with what they call a Colorado Cheeseburger meal, the Beef is Flame-Grilled, with my favorite Cheese, Swiss Cheese, and there's Jalapeños in it. There's nothing more All-American than a Cheeseburger. The Cheeseburger was better than expected, it was flavorful, seasoned well, so juicy, and the juices were dripping everywhere. And there's some Heat, to it. The French Fries were exceptional as well. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.7/3.8-4.3 stars, I want to give this a 4.3 stars, but I'm also going to give this 4.3/4.4 stars out of 5 stars. It's a good Product. read more

We came here for lunch because the pictures looked really good. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. The lady working was very helpful. The burger came out looking great. But it tasted like a frozen burger. It was dry and grey inside. Also it had too much salt. The fries were the opposite. They had no taste. There was no salt or seasonings. I was disappointed that the reviews let me down. The reason for the 3 stars. Great customer service and the women working. read more
This is definitely a burger spot. The burger looked aesthetically pleasing. It tasted flavorful juicy. It's an enjoyable burger, and those days that I want a burger like that I will try them again. It's a solid pic for a burger spot. The milkshake it was lacking. I ordered a vanilla milkshake and it just felt like it was just milk and ice cream and cream on the top. Some people don't realize this but milk isn't sweet milk is just milk. Ice cream is sweet so when you mix milk with ice cream it's like added water to ice cream. There's no flavor to the milk. It's just what it is mixed with the ice cream so that's exactly what it taste like. It tasted like water down milk so I would not be having a milkshake there again butter burgers yes the service it wasn't bad. It wasn't nothing over the top. read more

Showed up for an early lunch on Friday, about 11:20 am. I had a double cheeseburger, so cheesy and yummy. Fries were abundant! Milkshake was delicious!!!!! No music but not much of an issue. Most of the staff was friendly, however the cashier flipped the switch when the guy from Aramark showed up. She kept saying it was her boyfriend he just didn't know it. If anyone from Aramark reads this please don't bag on the guy he was professional. As far as this burger joint, please have your cashier re do training videos. I didn't quite find it uncomfortable, but I'm sure some others perhaps would. All but the whole and the novela was good, I'd say 3.8 of 5. read more

As burger joints come and go, since Covid, Fred's is my go-to place close to work. I love spicy, and they offer jalapenos, plus other condiments. That makes me salivate thinking about what will be an obviously juicy burger. read more

Had an early dinner here this evening! Wanted to finally try Fred's Burger. Came in to an empty place, so I ordered immediately! I got the Double Cheeseburger and I asked for bacon to go with the burger. Also ordered the Cheese Fries and a drink. The burger looked good! But I was surprised to see that there was no bacon in the burger! Someone screwed up! The burger was juicy, but it didn't separate itself from other burger joints! The Cheese Fries was ok! I really liked the fries that were not drenched in cheese! They were crispy! The cheese was really forgettable! I wouldn't order it again! The service was not very good! The table where I ate was not very clean! There was a sticky residue on the surface of the table! They really should've done a better job cleaning the place since it was empty before I arrived! The staff members were too busy chatting away behind the counter! Not a very good first impression! read more

Fred's is newer to this area near the San Jose airport. I've been waiting to try it, and it certainly did not disappoint! One thing that really stood out to me from the first bite was the even amount of sauce coating not just the bottom bun, but also the top one! This was such a small detail that just elevated what at first seemed like a typical burger. The meat patty did not have any overly burnt flavor and lacked the common gaminess found in other local burger joints, being a huge plus in flavor and making it very decent as well. It was a simple order, but it was executed very well. Every layer seemed intentional and delivered in whole what I believe was a solid burger. I was also impressed by the respectful and speedy service. I was recognized promptly and received my order in a timely manner. In terms of the store, I would say it was very clean and well kept when I went in to grab lunch. Overall, I'm happy to say that Fred's Burger is a nice addition to the casual dining restaurants surrounding the outskirts of the San Jose Mineta airport. Maybe I'll try their fries next time! read more

Unfortunately, this place is a no go and I won't be returning. I came here over the weekend for lunch, on a Saturday. The place was not busy. They had one other table occupied. We ordered the cheese burger meal. The burgers came out with the cheese unmelted! That is pretty bad for a burger joint. They weren't busy, so the excuse of being busy is out the window. The fries are also hard. read more

"Fred's Burger" is an excellent choice for a burger . The standard cheese burger is fresh and comes with a quarter pound beef on a soft toasted bun, with spread, onions, tomatoes, and crisp lettuce. I got the combo which came with thin crispy and well seasoned fries (some of the best I've had), a side of special sauce to dip into, and a medium drink you fill yourself. This definitely a great value when you compare it to a fast food option, like the McDonald's quarter pounder combo which only provides you a small fries and a small drink at the same price point. The place is clean and the staff is nice. I'd recommend "Fred's Burger" to anyone in the mood for a good quality burger . read more

First bite of the hamburger was so delicious you can taste the flame taste. The Cheese fries were amazing it brought me back memories when I would eat them in middle school! Hands down. Vanilla shake was okay, it needed more of a cream taste to it. Overall - you must come here and grab a hamburger and cheese fries! Service staff were friendly! read more

Excellent burgers! All meat is fresh and seasoned with a special family recipe. The sauce is also unique in flavor and used as a replacement for ketchup on the French fries The staff are very kind and inviting and are bilingual with Spanish and English. Reasonably priced burgers considering the bay area price range. The restaurant is extremely updated with very comfortable booths to sit on. The restaurant is very clean and the bathroom is extremely sanitary. This is definitely a must go to Burger spot in San Jose Ca. read more

This is a hidden gem in the middle of some office buildings. I am surprised not a lot of Muslim folks know about this halal burger joint; they are even listed on the Zabihah website as halal. Their burgers are amazing, you should definitely visit at least once! read more
