Chicken nugget and fries. Kids meal
    Patty O.

Right near Emma prusch park, convenient to grab a bite after taking my toddler there. Got the number 1 king burger combo and a kids meal the chicken nugget with fries and milk. The staff were very friendly with my son. We ordered the food to go. Everything was made fresh. The burger includes mayo and they have ketchup packets on the side. The ketchup is better than Heinz ketchup, not too sharp. The burger was fresh and tasty. It was a hefty size so we were full after. My toddler wasn't impressed with the chicken nuggets but he enjoyed the fries.

I've been here more than a dozen times and probably a few more times when I was a little kid. Forget all of the fancy places with a chef. This is a fast food restaurant that's friendly and you'd want to be there. Is there any food that isn't fried or grilled? I don't think so. This is one of my three favorite places to eat in San Jose. I got the fish sandwich combo this time, but they also have another fish sandwich on the hoagie roll, but that doesn't include fries, and then, there are the fish & chips. Hot! Hot! Hot! I forgot to wait to start eating. Other places, the food might let one part of your order sit while the other part is being finished. Here, they serve it hot at the same time. It's a good thing but be careful. Once I recovered my burning taste buds, the food was so good. The fries are a big darker than I like but they taste right. The fish was good and there was a good-sized portion. Every time I sit there, I think of how they must have added the exterior walls and made an indoor seating area. I'm guessing that was back in the 1970s. Despite having one of the doors open, it was plenty warm. If I still lived in the area, I would be there once a week.

This is a good old school style burger spot. The bacon burger hit the spot for sure. I always appreciate family owned businesses, wishing them all the best.

    Retro building... love it

Hey, a burger place near the ghetto. One that's been around for ages and hella popular. What more do you need to know? They have burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Asian dishes. They kind of do it all. Asian run. I adore the retro burger joint style. Get that nostalgia going. But it's also very clean... don't you dare think it's grubby cuz of the location. My favorite is simple... the #1 combo meal. Burger, fries, and soda. Add cheese for a few cents more. Exactly like a good ol' authentic American burger. With a quarter pickle on the side. Crispy fries which I love. It's not one of those fancy burgers like other joints. I'm not sure if they give drink refills but I'd think so.

    French fries, huge

Delicious! Tasted "fresh" & flavorful. I was super surprised about how good the burger was, I was expecting a mediocre one at best but the bacon burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. French fries were crispy, light & plentiful, the onion rings also had a nice crisp. Banana milkshake was alright, reminded me of the artificial laffy taffy, so next time I'll probably try the strawberry or chocolate. Overall, I am definitely going to try other items on the menu next time.

Came on a Saturday for lunch and were able to find parking in the lot in the back. It wasn't too busy, there were a few people in front of us in line and we waited about 15 min after ordering for our food. We got the king's burger and the bacon combo, and upgraded the fries to cheese fries. The menu only shows combos, but you can ask to just get a burger without fries or a drink. Out of the two burgers, the bacon one was definitely better - it had a lot more flavor and sauce, the regular burger was still good but felt a little plain in comparison. The fries themselves are okay, but they add a ton of cheese to the fries so definitely getting your moneys worth. It is a little pricier than I thought it was going to be (almost $30 after tax), but I would say it's still a good place to come if you want a classic burger.

Been hearing about the teriyaki chicken @ King's Burger and finally got a chance to give it a try... and it did NOT disappoint. The portion was hearty, and also came with an egg roll. My brother got the fried chicken wing rice plate and he killed the entire thing. My other friend had the Fried Fish burger and she said it was delicious. The outside was crispy & not dry at all. We also had two orders of the Spam Musubi, which were HUGE! Definitely coming back again

Great spot for lunch. The burgers are delicious and the location is easy to get in and out for a quick stop.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. There's plenty of parking there and a plaza nearby with a lot of parking. The inside gave me the vibes of an old, rustic burger place. In all honesty it made the place feel a bit dirty too, we were also bothered by files the entire time when eating. I got the double combo. I didn't particularly want a drink but it came with it anyways. The burger itself was quite good, the 2 patties were very rich and juicy. I did think the rest of the burger was a bit dry, could have used some sauce inside. The crinkle fries were decent. A good crunch to them. I did also try the onion rings but they weren't anything special.

Came here for lunch after hearing online reviews! I loved the burger texture and the taste of the meat my only complaint was it is a little dry. I got the onion ring substitution it costed a bit more it was decent. I liked the fries more than the onion rings. Service took about 5-10 minutes. The food was piping hot definitely just cooked it. Sit down was decent inside. Definitely loved the burger!

Nothing extraordinary, just a family owned business whose been in the game for decades serving great backyard style burgers. Lots of seating and ample parking. Don't expect your tables to be free of grease and floors spotless, enjoy the setting and eat your heart away. Menu is vast, lots of options outside of burgers as well. Service was pretty fast, burgers came out in 6 minutes.

This is their current location, but I don't think it's their permanent place of business. Just for the time being. Google maps will take you to a parking lot entrance that's closed, blocked by a chain, so make sure you enter the parking lot on Locust Street. I ordered online, and the wait time was a bit long (20+ minutes) but not terrible. And once you arrive, there's a sign near the parking lot directing you to walk down an alley-like path. No signs at the door, just a dumpster outside. Yup, that's where you pick up. It feels like you're walking through the back door of a restaurant kitchen. Actually when you step inside, it indeed IS the kitchen which doubles as a pickup spot (no seats, no signs, I just showed the guy my order on my phone and he handed me my food packed neatly in a paper bag). I got the perro loco which comes with fries on the side, and an arepa with cheese. I didn't like that customers can't customize items when ordering online for pick up. Also wasn't a fan of the pineapple sauce, though I think that's one of the things they're known for. But the hot dog was still good, generous with the toppings and certainly unique. The sausage was plump and juicy with a mild flavor. The fries were delicious as well, and didn't taste cheap. And the mini arepa with cheese was buttery and had a nice texture. Altogether it made for a filling meal.

The beef patty was perfectly seasoned and so juicy. All the flavors were amazing and tasted so fresh. I loved the crispy bacon and the shredded chicken. The chicken was well flavored and they put an ample amount on top of the burger. Wow! What a great combo. I also tried the maracuya (passion fruit) drink and it was so good! I like that it wasn't too sweet. It's fresh and refreshing. They are pretty busy because it's their opening so there might be a wait but it's totally worth it. The hostess was very friendly and showed us to our table. We had a table inside, which was an intimate upscale casual area with a bar. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms for a starter. It was so hard to pick one because everything on the menu sounds so good. Alas, I have a small appetite. The mushrooms were very tasty and a nice start to our meal. For entrees, we had the halibut and prime filet with a side of broccolini. Everything was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Drinks are on the pricey side- I had a Hero Old Fashioned and the Taylor Made, $20 each. They were nicely crafted, so worth the price. They brought out a Carmel Popcorn Sundae for my husband's birthday and even gave him a birthday card which I thought was a nice touch. Service was slow and steady. We had ample time to enjoy our food without feeling rushed, but never felt like our server forgot about us. We spent about 2 hours for dinner. Probably not a place to go if you're in a hurry. I'm eager to return and try some more of the starters. It's the kind of place I'd love to take out of town guests - high quality fine dining in a casual and relaxed environment.

The restaurant had a nice visual ambience, but also felt casual as there was a lot of chatter, which isn't a bad thing depending on what you're looking for. Our waiter was especially friendly and helped us decide what to order. I really wish I could remember his name, as I'm posting this a bit late, but he was a huge reason why we had a great experience! Here's a quick rating on the food itself: Stuffed mushrooms (3.5/5): This was recommended by the waiter as a favorite among patrons. The mushrooms weren't bad or anything, but for some reason, it gave me combination pizza vibes that I wasn't expecting. It was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again personally. Bone-in ribeye (5/5): an amazing cut that was cooked perfectly. Exactly what you would expect from a good steakhouse. The compound butter was fantastic! Bone-in apricot glazed pork chop (3.5/5): this one may hit different for different folks. The pork was perfectly cooked and juicy, but the apricot glaze was definitely a little too sweet for our palettes. If you're looking for something more savory, I might try something else. But hey, sweet might be your thing too! Caramel popcorn sundae (4.5/5): we got this one complimentary for being our special day, which was a really nice surprise! And it was a full serving! This one was obviously sweet, but surprisingly more subdued than it sounds, which was really nice! Overall, it was truly a memorable night with great food. And though some things didn't quite work for our palettes, I can totally see that it may for others--so that didn't impact my ratings because they were still good--just not for us. That said, the care that we received on our anniversary was what truly made me land on a 5/5 rating. Definitely coming back for future special occasions!
