The mucousity of the cheese got in everywhere, interfering with how the full flavor of the beef would have been coming through, which delivered an uneventful experience, when compared with eating with the grilled beef over at Chipotle, or with the variations in flavor from eating something else like meat lovers pizza. However, the sandwich filling was still juicer than the cheese steak at Amatos - Willow Glen. GameDay offered comfort food and they are one of the few vendors that has maintained a 4-star rating. So, we rolled with it. Phillys don't disappoint. Next time we're in San Jo, we plan on trying the Napalese spot (located across the courtyard in the rear building). Three Sisters offers tasty cocktails and the line there is shorter on the weekends. Hit that up while you wait for food or whenever. Indoor seating on the weekend is hard to find and it's loud. There's live music in the courtyard which is a great vibe. But again, it's loud. We nabbed a high table in the outer room by Three Sisters. It's quieter and less congested. The pizza spot was popular as well. Might be worth a try. Ok, enjoy San Pedro Square! Went to GameDay ON game day, and had some great hot wings. They were nice and meaty, juicy inside and cooked perfectly. I chose buffalo wing sauce, and it only comes one way (not mild, spicy, etc). It was a medium spiciness, had a good kick, but not overpowering in heat. And the amount of sauce was just right, wings coated evenly with some extra at the bottom of the container it was served in, topped off with a few strips of fresh carrot and celery, and ranch on the side. There was barely any service. You just order and pay on the self-ordering kiosk, they text your phone when it's ready, and you pick up at the counter. It took about 15 minutes for my food to be ready. There was one worker out there who gave out the orders, and he was friendly. But nothing much else in the storefront, kind of like a ghost kitchen where they go in the back to make your food, no food-making station to be seen or condiments or anything really.. except a pile of food containers. The wings were pretty good, but not exactly special, especially at $14 for 6 pieces (it was actually a little more than that after tax, without any extras)... I mean, they gave me an extra wing, but that's still not good value for 7. Besides that, it's a good environment at San Pedro Square Market, lively setting with Warriors playing on the TVs. I got 10 wings and they let me do 5 Honey BBQ and 5 Korean BBQ. Both were pretty good but I definitely preferred the Korean BBQ - they have a slightly different take on it, but it's really tasty. My boyfriend's Buffalo wings were also tasty/flavorful. We split an order of cheese fries, which I highly recommend getting. Verbal abuse from the staff because I pointed out that they did not process my order... I went dining at GameDay on Friday before the Sharks Game and order a Philly's cheesteak + drinks from the venue on their "self-Managed" kiosk. No interactions seemed needed with the staff, so we went back to our table and waited to get a text on my phone. The text never came and 30 mn later I went and enquired about my order. The only person inside asked for the name on the order, and when given said there was not such order, especially since I never received a text (did not know I was supposed to get one right away). At this point, a normal customer service would try to find out what happened and resolve the issue... Instead, he starting making fun of my seemingly inability to operate a smart screen and place an order on my own and became aggressive. When I insisted this was not the case, he responded with "Dude, the data does not lie, check with your credit card company to see if you know how to use one..." To make matter worse, another employee (nearby, which I am assuming was on break), added a layer with "Look if it is not in our system, you did not order..." insinuating that I was making a scandal (with my 12 years old) to get a free diner on them... When I confirmed from my credit card that the order had been placed, the second employee backed-away and disappeared into the kitchen with "it wasn't me..." When I confronted the aggro employee with data, he just laughed and said, "well, what do you want, a refund?" I said "Absolutely," to which he responded, "sorry I can hear you" and then followed with "not gonna happen," and eventually just gave me the finger, walked away from the counter and went back inside... I will obviously dispute the transaction with my bank, but such behavior is entirely unacceptable. The owner of that establishment or franchise needs to know! And needless to say that I will share my experience with all of my Shark fan buddies and anyone with who we usually go to St Pedro's square... Update: The manager reached out and corrected the issue, refunded me, and the employee is not longer working there. Thank you for handling my complaint! read more

I recently dined at Gameday in San Pedro for lunch and am sharing my experience. There was an issue that affected my experience. I ordered a dish that took about 30 minutes to serve, which is understandable for certain items. However, better communication about the potential delay would have greatly improved the experience. When I approached Anthony, one of the staff members, to provide this feedback, I mentioned that it would be good for customers to be informed if a particular dish might have a longer wait time. He raised his voice and retorted, "Let me give you some feedback: you should expect a longer wait because it's during lunch." This response left me taken aback, and rather than continuing to engage in a scene, as many people were around, I chose to walk away. I hope that the restaurant owner can take this feedback constructively and use it as an opportunity to enhance their customer service approach during busy hours. Obviously, because of Anthony's response, our team will no longer eat from there: a) bc of Anthony's extremely awful response and b) just as important, we do not have that kind of time to wait during the lunch hour.
