No great places to sit and eat, but the whole atmosphere is just fun, and there is always a big crowd. This place is so good I can't even describe the buns. The prices still feel like we are living in 2001 it's dirt cheap. They have so many amazing shake flavors we got the eggnog and candy cane which were both amazing and huge for the price! I can not recommend this place enough it is so good. This was stop #1 on our way to Ogden and we loved it. I had read reviews about the meat being scarce so I had a Double Big Ben and almost couldn't finish it. The buns are MASSIVE and the toppings perfect. We had fries and they were delicious! We sat outside as it was in the 40's and the meal stayed hot until the end. We should have ordered waters with our meal as we had milkshakes (can you say THICK?) and we were getting dry mouth by the end. I can't trash this landmark roadside stand but I'm not a fan. The food wasn't appealing. That's me, I only came here because the place was on Diners Drive in's and Dives. I would try it again but the chances of me getting back to Utah are slim. That said it is a local iconic landmark and I'm sure I just made bad choices or went on a bad day. It comes with a patty, lettuce,pickles and fry sauce. While big, certainly not very tall and almost eats like a super fat quesadilla but with soft bread instead of a tortilla. The fries and fry sauce are fine. Just not much memorable here. I will say service is fast, even with a line, and the prices are certainly reasonable. Not sorry I tried it since I was in the area and had it bookmarked, but I can see being disappointed if I would have driven for it. That lack of seating situation also doesn't help. Who wants to eat a messy burger balanced on their lap? There is a monthly exotic meat to choose (this month is ostrich) . I am giving 4 stars for the friendly service and unique burger and shake options. Where else can you get an elk, bison, or yak burger! They burger definitely tastes better than it looks and it's quite large. I couldn't finish it. The fries and onion rings were delicious. After my husband told me he believed the fry sauce was made from miracle whip I could no longer eat it as that twangy taste then hit me wrong. This was our second visit to Burger Bar, and if it's possible, the food, shakes, and customer service just keep getting better. Our 2 younger boys had baby Ben's with cheese, basically plain, only added mustard and ketchup. My wife had the BTLC, and I had a double Ben with cheese. The burgers are made with local ground beef, not greasy, and full of flavor. The fries are awesome. They aren't seasoned with anything but salt, but they just compliment the burger so well. We also shared an order of onion rings, they hit the spot, and everyone enjoyed them. Lastly, we finished with some small milkshakes. The boys had a cookie dough and a peanut butter cup, these were both big wins with them. My wife had the strawberry cheesecake, and I had the Praline shake. My wife enjoyed the fresh strawberries, and she said the cheesecake was very flavorful. The praline shake was so good, not overly sweet, it had me wanting more. If you are looking for a local spot, instead of the usual chain burger joint, this is the place. Food here is great and they have an exotic meat of the month that is normally great as well. They have had lamb, ostrich, buffalo, kangaroo, and alligator. Their shakes are even better. So many varieties and you can create your own. They say their most popular go-to item is the Big Ben cheeseburger with onion rings. The Big Ben with cheese is classic if you're just looking for a yummy cheeseburger. The bun is delicious and made in house but usually overwhelming compared to the amount of meat. I'm only giving three stars because they have consistently disappointed me from a customer service standpoint. I pay for extra fry sauce and ask for the burger to be cut in half every time and they never... ever... ever do either. I love the buns! The big Ben is a large burger with lettuce, onions, pickles and fry sauce. The best part is the soft pillow like buns. I usually spend a little extra and have tomato and bacon added. The bacon is pancetta cut. One cool thing is the big Ben comes with fries. I always opt for the old fashioned, fresh cut fries. The double fry them and the are crispy and not overly oily. You can also get fries cooked from the frozen state. The main drawback is the only available seating is outside. If it's the middle of summer it can be a bit uncomfortable. Fun unique burger place with amazing shakes! The burgers (Big Ben's) are huge! Not tall - but a giant circumference. The buns are specially made for these big burgers. The burgers come standard with fry sauce on them. The fries weren't bad, just a little under seasoned. The whole customer experience is outside, you order at the window and then find one of the benches or flower boxes to sit on- no tables at all, so be prepared to be holding your food on your lap. Often long lines, but move fairly quickly. Did have to wait about ten minutes for our food, so not "fast food". Definitely worth trying this unique burger shop. read more
