My wife and I were on our way back from Ft. Collins, CO, to our home in Star, ID, and stopped here for lunch. We almost missed the sign and it is located in a small corner of a shopping area with another establishment next door. Inside, it has a cool casual vibe. You order at the counter and then go grab a table if you are dining in (they give you a number to put on your table). We both had the classic burger, mine with pepper jack cheese. They come with chips so you have to upgrade for fries or onion rings, and that will cost you an extra $3.75. The burgers were really good, and though I know it's subjective, this was one of the best fast-food burgers I've had. My wife enjoyed her onion rings, and I liked the steak fries, though they could have been crispier. You have all of your condiments, including fry sauce, at the table. In addition, they have a variety of shake flavors. I chose a "regular" peach, regular still being pretty big. There were bits of peaches in mine, which was nice, but I did not taste a peach flavor. I was hoping for something that tasted more like peach ice cream. The shakes are thick, and you have to eat them with a spoon. Very yummy. I'll order a different flavor the next time we're passing through. Our meal cost about $34, not counting a tip. So, not inexpensive. Still, very worth it to us. A special shout-out to Bodie, the young man that helped us with our order. Very friendly and helpful. Came here on a whim and tried out the food. Service was great. They shared their recommendations, what is most popular and how everything worked for us on our first time. They were patient with our questions and took care of us. We ordered 2 burgers, 1 fried chicken sandwich and kids chicken strips. The sandwiches were delicious. The atmosphere was cool looking. I liked how each table had its own set of condiments and napkins. Also there was a cool chalk wall you could draw on if wanted. Only negative was we ordered sweat potato fries and a regular. The Plus: every burger we tried was excellent. Juicy burgers, well-assembled, no complaints whatsoever. Lots of toppings available. The fries were home style and tasty as well. The staff did a fine job--friendly bunch. Dining area was clean. The only minus is the price. Only issue I have with this order is when they added too much salt in each patty that had ruined me for days! Gosh, make sure you ask them not to add too much salt in it! Burly Burger is an above-average burger joint, and it's fairly priced. They deliver exactly what they promise, and that earns five stars. To go a little more in depth, I ordered their pastrami burger and onion rings. The bun was really good, and while the other ingredients weren't screaming good quality, they were prepared well. They treat their pastrami better than ANY OTHER place I've been, throwing it on the heat for a second before putting it on the burger. This maillardized it a little and added awesome flavor. I was also glad they didn't put too much pastrami on it, which is a chronic issue in most of Utah and causes the pastrami to overpower the rest of the burger. Meanwhile, the onion rings were battered, not breaded, which I definitely prefer. I only wish they would salt the onions before battering them. The last thing I'll say is this place goes hard on the vibes. I don't really get why the theme is what it is, but I'm not complaining. It added a funny charm, and I spent some time laughing at their chalk signs. I think I'll go back in a few months to try their 10-patty challenge. read more

The cashiers and employees were very nice. All of them were interested in hearing what I had to say, and immediately followed through any of my little requests that I have. Amazing customer service! The food is magnificent. All of the burgers are very juicy, and the shakes are to die for. I ordered a Paul Bunyan. it came with a frank on it. they are also custom stamped buns. The building style is also very cool! I don't know what to call it, but it kinda looks like a black and white factory theme? I am not experienced with designer or anything, but it is a very fun mood for the type of food that you're eating. Had The Farley burger, while won't have it again the flavors were good. It's a burger patty with a Buffalo chicken strip on top of burger. The last and first time I had it, the bun was dry and the patty was over cooked, that was a bout a year ago. Today we were in a hurry and this was the closest burger joint. I got the Mr. T burger with jalapeños. Unfortunately this time I had half a bun left with no meat to fill it because the patty was way smaller than the bun. The AHAB (fish and chips) 2 stars $15 for 3 small food service fish planks and fries? have we fished out the ocean that badly? should i have asked for the tofu version? these lovingly hand dipped planks by mrs. vandecamp were overwhelmingly underwhelming. frozen to fryer, you are not fooling anyone. Fries. 4 stars the battered plank fries are the only thing keeping this review from the bottom of the burger joints out there. tasty, relatively plentiful compared to their other offerings, and paired with their tasty fry sauce, which seems to have some kind of smoky bbq sauce in it. might be worth a stop just for fries. they also have malt vinegar which is a plus. so much potential from the menu offerings visually. so little delivery. If you are going to be at this price point, you better deliver some better burgers, or the competition will eat you. Turning an already expensive burger into $20 by a couple of small adds, this is Ogden, not the strip in LV. A credible and complete review of the best of burgers in Utah can't be done without Burly's. Most Utahns believe this is the franchise that de-throned "Crown Burger" as the leader of fine Utah burger dining. I totally agree. For a $16-dollar combo you get the finest ingredients, accommodations and service. As an example, I give you the "Swanson". Akin to the Royal Robin burger of Red Robin's fame, this burger is perfectly sized. Big but, not too big, fresh, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato and a perfectly cooked, over-easy egg left soft so the yoke keeps the burger moist. The meat was ever-so slightly pink five star level quality. The fries are lightly battered, perfectly cooked, lightly crisp. The fry sauce was just a little different having a slight tang. Try it with a splash of malt vinegar! (dang it - I'm such a foody nerd!) The only criticism I'll give that manager with the manly waxed mustache is - turn the lights on. It's a bit dark inside. read more

I love Burly Burger, but this location is still hit and miss. Burgers tend to be messier than the South Weber location, falling apart before it even hits my mouth. Quality is sometimes delicious and perfection and other times it's a letdown. It's hard to justify the drive to this location when I never know what I'm going to get. read more
