I ALWAYS forget to take pics when I eat here because i am starving by the time we get here. We've eaten here several times since we moved here and have tried a few different burgers. My favorite is the Paul Bunyan! It has a hot dog on top but the sauces are delicious. The burger is super juicy, and easy to eat. It's packed with flavor and stuff like grilled onions and mushrooms but somehow still stays fully intact every bite! Their fries have a Cajun type seasoning on them which we love. The mozzarella sticks don't taste like they come from a freezer and we like their onion rings. Not a fan of the cheese curds though. Too much fried and not enough cheese. First timer today for lunch. I ordered (carry out, online) the classic burger and my bride got the Rock ( w/ pineapple). When I went to the counter to pay for the order they gentleman informed me that hadn't received the order. So I went back outside to check my phone, sure enough I hadn't quite completed the order on their website. So I completed the order just a few minutes after I had first walked in and was waiting in my truck the extra 10 minutes for the order and after just a few minutes the young man actually came out carrying my food looking for me! Our son has been bragging about Burly Burgers ever since he discovered them several months ago. Anytime he is driving up north he makes it a point to detour and and get a burger. Just so happened we were driving in that general area and decided to take him up on the recommendation to have a burger. We tried the classic burger with sweet potato fries. The burger is served on a brioche bun with the usual condiments and toppings. One bite and we immediately understood why this is our son's go to burger place. The quality of the meat is like none other. The patty is juicy but thoroughly cooked and the toppings are fresh. The sweet potatoes were good but it was the burger that really stood out for us. The burgers and sides are great. The chicken on the other hand, was not good at all. When my wife ordered a chicken sandwich, she complained to me that the chicken was tough. I, thinking that she was exaggerating, told her that it couldn't be that bad and she offered me a bite. She got my sincere apology, because it was absolutely impossible for me to bite through. Service was great. Order taken for one classic burger and chicken strips. Food brought out within a few min, exactly as ordered. The burger was seasoned well and tasted great. I love Burly Burger, but this location is still hit and miss. Burgers tend to be messier than the South Weber location, falling apart before it even hits my mouth. We just had take-out from this place and the burgers were delicious. The fries are pretty good and I love me some onion rings. Try the spicy seasoning! Not really spicy but adds a nice kick. We also had shakes, the vanilla with peach was okay but the chocolate with banana tasted like fresh banana but not a whole lot of chocolate. It's not a huge place but the inside of the restaurant looked nice and they were friendly. I just wasn't thrilled with the way they packed the fries, on top of one another being squished below the onion rings. The Mr T has a Burly burger topped with a mound of pastrami, swiss cheesen burly sauce, lettuce & tomato. It's really good, but the prices are a little too high. Expect about $15/person (plus tip). Also, the wait was kinda long, but they are brand new and very popular, so not a big deal. The burly sauce is similar to Red Robin sauce. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries, they might be the best I've ever had! I live almost an hour away and I am HAPPY to make the drive for these burgers. The first time I came here, I completed the Brigham challenge. The Brigham challenge is a burger with 10 patties, a huge pile of fries, and a huge shake (the top of the shake is a couple inches above the top of the cup). My ONLY regret is that I chose to do the challenge on my first visit- I couldn't take the time to enjoy this DELICIOUS food. My second time I got the Swanson- a burger topped with a fried egg and bacon- and sweet potato fries. As I suspected- the food was JUST as good as I thought it would be. The atmosphere isn't that of a 5-star restaurant- but the burgers are easily 5-star quality in my opinion. If you don't have a beard, use a napkin or two as a bib or be prepared to get some on your shirt. They even brought my order out to me because there weren't a lot of diners inside at the time. I agree with others it is a bit pricey. I got here about 20 after 11am on a weekday and the line was at the door. There was one customer, holding up the line but once she was gone the line moved quickly. I think the burgers are worth it but when you start adding on everything, the numbers can get away from you quickly. I love the burger from red Robin that has an egg on it, I think it's called the royal. So I decided to try the Swanson which has a well cooked burger, Bacon, and an egg. I thought it was just OK overall. The burger is good though But as good as the burger was the bacon was pretty sad. I prefer my egg runny this this one was cooked well done. I'll have to try something different next time because there are other burgers that look better. The onion rings were good but I think they would've been even better if they had been prepared fresh. They must've cooked them 15 or 20 minutes before because they were a bit soggy and just barely warm. There's nothing better than a nice crisp hot onion ring sadly, these were more soggy and warmish but the sauce to dip them in was amazing, and it made up for it.I did get my order to go but I did try the onion rings when I first got in the truck so they had not been sitting very long, but they were more cold than warm. A bit disappointed in them for temperature but they still had a good flavor and I could definitely see these as being five star if they were fresh out of the fryer. I'll give this place another try Since it's only five or six minutes from my house. The fries and sweet potato fries sound amazing. For this visit I can't give it more than 3 stars. The Swenson burger was about 10 bucks and the order of onion rings was 3.99. I was out the door at about 15 bucks. read more
