While at the mall the other, I felt very hungry and decided to give this place a try. I normally always go with the Greek place but since they had a line, I chose this because I didn't want to wait. I ordered the number one which was a cheeseburger, fries and a dink. The total was $13.50 ish. I thought that seemed a little high but went with it. The burger came out and it was a decent size. It did have fresh lettuce and tomato which was nice. The bun was very soft. It also had onion and pickles and some kind of sauce. I appreciated that there wasn't ketchup on it. The meat was soft and flavorful. There was some kind of season that tasted good. It seemed to be something similar to Lawrys season salt. The fries were crinkle cut and cooked nicely. They served it with fry sauce. The drink was a small, 16oz styrofoam cup. The reason I'm giving only four stars was after I ordered; I added up my total and buying the combo is more expensive than buying thing individual. The burger was 5.99 and the fries were 3.99 The drink alone is 1.89 so if you bought everything separate, it would 11.87 but the listed priced for the combo is 11.99. I think they just have charged me for the fry sauce or something because tax wouldn't be that much. The drink was mostly ice which I normally like but when I went to ask for a refill, he said it would be .50 which was annoying because I feel like I was already charged more for some reason. So the food was good. The service was fine. The prices are too much. The combo should be 9.99 which essentially mean the drink is free which is usually how it goes. Would I eat there again? Yes because the burger was tasty but I wouldn't buy the combo. read more

Their exterior is evidently quite ordinary and bland, however their food is far from it. I ordered a double cheeseburger, (lettuce wrapped) and my husband a philly cheese sandwhich. Since all lettuce wrapped burgers I've had prior lose their shape and fall apart, I got a fork and knife ready to slice and eat it in my tray. However I didn't even need utensils. My cheeseburger was brilliantly wrapped tightly together in foil, this is the first time I've seen this method!! The foil made eating it so much more convenient, also keeping my hands clean. The patty was also seasoned perfectly; I've never had a burger quite like this before! Usually the tastier the burger, the more likely it is to fall apart, vice versa. But not here. My husband also thoroughly enjoyed his philly cheese sandwhich, which was also juicy, flavorful and easy to eat. I look forward to returning in the future whenever we drive through Utah again. This place is a hidden gem. With only one man working the whole place, and a 'Help Wanted' sign looming on the wall, fingers crossed they will still be in the area going strong. Fork out some extra money and have a burger ten times better than In&Out. Highly recommend this delicious, hole in the wall of a plce, and hope to be back. read more

We stopped by here as a joke because we love the show... my God, the burgers are DELICIOUS. I don't know what kind of addictive, juicy AF substances those patties are soaked in but my God it's AMAZING and tastes unlike any other burger I've ever tried. Counting moose burgers in Sweden and counting Gordon Ramsay's burger joint in Vegas. this guy has the secret formula. So now we come here all the time and it's a special treat. also, the family?? couple??? who run the place are wonderful. kind and patient and very friendly. I hope they love what they do, they're great at it. to all those complaining about the drink selection and the lack of hand cut fries.... honey you're in ogden, in a shopping mall, at a burger place in the food court. calm down. read more

Don't get it wrong I still eat there also and can't stay away from their frozen frosted lemonade. Went to Bob's for lunch because I was craving a burger and wanted to try something new and local. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo and added a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich all for less than $10. The cheeseburger was good, a pre-formed patty cooked on a flat top smothered in fry sauce with a thin crisp bacon round all wrapped in a fresh sesame seed bun. I am fundamentally against pre-formed burger patties and for a place like this with a small menu that specializes in burgers it would not be too much to ask to get a fresh hand formed patty, but that was not the case. Despite the pre-formed nature of the meat the burger was tasty, unfortunately the bacon was to little to make a difference and I will leave it off next time. The Philly Cheese Steak was pretty darn good for the price, about $3. It came on a fantastic Philly Cheese Steak appropriate roll and it had a reasonable amount (again considering the price) of well seasoned meat. The roll appeared to be fresh, a bit crispy on the outside and soft inside and had a fantastic flavor. The meat was thinly sliced and appropriately seasoned. Throw on a bit of cheese and you have a good sandwich (sorry I left off the onions, peppers and mushrooms so I cannot review those). The combo comes with fries, these were not very special, OK but could be better. Maybe Bob's should consider some fresh cut fries? Bob's is a good cost effective option if you are looking for a tasty meal while at the mall. read more

Okay, I can admit that this place doesn't have the most "appeal" from the outside. I was hesitant to try it. The lady working the counter was really hustling and trying to bring in customers, so I broke down and got a Philly cheesesteak. Wow. Wow. Wow. It's delicious. Since then I have probably gotten one every week! The fries are so crispy and delicious and their fry sauce is handmade and THE BEST! Lastly I have to mention the cook who works the grill and the register. He is so dedicated to the business and hard working! I love this place. My son always gets the grilled cheese and we both devour every fry. Please try Bob's Burgers and you'll never eat anywhere else at the mall!!! read more

I wanted to give this a try while at the mall. I wanted a burger but when I saw the menu, they powered other choices add well. I tried the chicken Philly and it was good. The chicken was tender and moist and was flavored perfectly. The onions and peppers were also cooked just right. There was a good sauce on there that reminded me of thousand island but it could have been gourmet fry sauce. I thought the sauce added good flavor to the sandwich. The bread was excellent as well, that may have been the best part of the sandwich. I'm not sure what cheese was on there, maybe provolonebut I wished it would have been cheese wiz to be more authentic. I'll defiantly give this another shot if I'm at the mall, the problem is I do not go to the mall often. There burgers looked good so I'll try that next time. read more

Love this place! I've only been here once, but it's delicious! The food is great, and my favorite is the chili cheese fries! I came here on a lunch break and they had the food out quickly. There is no relation between the show , but the cartoon presence of the restaurant will remind you of it which is fun since its one of my favorite shows!! read more

This has nothing to do with the tv show (I suspect this is an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of that cartoon)...or with good food. Fries are acceptable, drink selection rather minimal. If you're prone at all on the epilepsy side, steer clear of the counter. The flashing menu ripping through the specials at a hyperspeed and superbright clip was beyond annoying and wound up being distracting. The blips are too fast generally to process if you attempt it. The other specials are scrawled all over paper and strewn everywhere. Let me be frank. This is institutional food, cheerfully prepared by the same dude who takes your order and he tries to do the best with what he has, but he's not working with much. If you're going to try to have a Pastrami Burger on the menu, come correct with it. A single piece of questionable lunch meat slapped onto a tasteless disc of peppered Sysco filler...uh uh. Mine was also made incorrectly, but the potential was not high to begin with here. It's mall food at its worst, though served very friendly-like. read more

My wife and I are always lookin for places to eat that we hadn't been before. Today it was Bob's Burgers. The proprieter was very friendly and the food was really good. I had the Philly which was very flavorful. Wife had the bacon cheese which she says was deliciously juicy. The prices were on par with many other burger joints. I was pretty shocked at what little food you get for $9.70 (including tax). Mushroom burger was very runny, drenched in fry sauce, but good. I'm not normally a picky guy. The fries were also really good, but you only get a very small tray of them (the size for kids at a baseball game), about a fist full. Where this place really went wrong was customer service. They didn't call out my order even though I was busy with a toddler, and when my wife and I found out my drink was filled 70% to the brim with ice, I went over and asked for a refill. He told me it's 50 cents. I then opened the cup and showed him it was totally full of ice and asked if he could please do it free of charge. He said he could, did it, and then as he handed it back to me, said "you know, you can ask what kind of ice you want," as if to make a point. I said that though that may be true, you shouldn't be filling it up with all ice when you don't even ask the customer. I won't be coming back. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

A new, independent burger joint at Newgate Mall, Bob's Burgers shows great potential to be regular stop for me. At the time of me writing this review, they have been open about a week and seem to have the kinks worked out. Their menu is not extensive, but what they make is fresh and everything I've tasted is great by my standards. The grilled chicken sandwich is simple, but the chicken was tender, juicy, and had a lot of flavor. The Philly Cheese Steak was great, too. The steak was full of flavor and tender. I feel it could use a bit more cheese, but I devoured it, all the same. Being a mom and pop operation, they have a small staff, but the food comes out about as fast as other restaurants in the food court. I will continue to sample my way through the menu, and support a local entrepreneur as my stomach dictates. Give them a try, I think you'll like what you taste. read more

Frozen hamburger patty, bun not toasted, not enough fries, hamburger meat not seasoned at all, drink re-fills are .50 cents when everywhere else they're free, and the counter girl didn't know what came in the burgers when asked, she didn't even bother to ask. I was in the Newgate mall Sunday afternoon and stopped by Bob's burgers for a burger. I didn't even have time to get a Coke,mustard,mayonnaise, or anything else but the burger as served was outstanding! I ate the whole thing and I have eaten burgers in many countries and many states in this country in my last 60 years, yet I've never had a better one than this. Give it a try! read more
