Food was great. Has vegan and vegetarian options, plus plenty of chicken or beef choices. Onion rings and cheese curds are tasty. Sauces are conveniently on the table. Instead of traditional fry sauce they have an excellent bbq-mayo. Cute loft dining spots, but only the main dining area is disabled accessible. Plenty of parking. Service was okay. Tables were all dirty, and no hustle to clean them for waiting customers. Ended up wiping one down myself. read more

New spot for great burgers in West Haven! This location is roomy and can hold a LOT of people. If you'd rather "go" they have a drive thru here. Plenty of burger selections with some chicken and fish options if you don't want the red meat. Burgers are cooked to "medium" but they will darken them if you want it that way. There's smaller, kids options as well as some salads on the menu for "those" people. Don't skip over the shakes, they do a good job with those as well. read more

First time at a Burly Burger. Well in a nutshell I found to be barely average. Wait time wasn't bad for a Friday. Service was good but the food left a few things to be desired. My chicken sandwich was not hot the chicken was cool and a little tough. The bun was also cold. I got the combo meal with onion rings and although they were good there was I think 6 rings in the serving. Pretty inadequate for the price. The sweet potato fries were good. As far as the restaurant itself was clean and nice looking. Oh and the drink machine was out of ice. All in all this probably won't be on my list of go to places read more

My friends and I tried Burly Burger on Friday night. This was my third time there so this isn't a one-off situation. No matter where you sit in the restaurant it is absolutely freezing due to the doors constantly being opened and closed. You can't escape it! On Friday we were there towards the end of the night and they were rolling out the trash--huge bins that were so loud and noisy. Who heard of waiting until you were closed to do closing stuff like that? Now to the food-- my hamburger was awful. Totally raw in the middle. Now, I like my meat cooked medium rare, but this piece of meat was still mooing. Unfortunately, with all this combined, it'll be my last time visiting this establishment. read more

Over priced. The bananas in the shake were frozen and tasted horrible. The last bite of the burger which was only bread tasted like rancid oil. There were very few clean tables there were only 3 customers at the time. Up all night sick to my stomach. This is a one and done. read more

Went there yesterday with my Dad for lunch. He got the classic and I got the Duke. We also ordered a side of garlic fried cheese curds. The taste of the food was great. The size of the burger seems a bit small. Expected more from the name of the restaurant. Disappointing actually. The serving size of the cheese curds was a bit shocking in a bad way. $6 for 7 cheese curds. What a rip off, even though they taste great. I should have just ordered the fries. read more

For years we ate here regularly, this time around after the second bite we noticed our patties were not only pink, red!!! I walked up to the counter & let the cashier know the patty was red, without looking at it, he claimed that's how the place cooks their burgers & if I wanted a well cooked burger, then I should've stated so while ordering. Funny I never was asked how rare I would like the patty nor stated rare. That's the way to run a business, blame shift the customer. Also the waitress had an attitude & delivered our combos with snarky remarks, highly unprofessional. Yes, we tipped, what's the excuse? what happened to treat each as they are expected to treat you? A little meat cooking & bacteria FYI food & safety regulations: Ground beef should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) to ensure safety. Cooking it well helps prevent the consumption of bacteria like E. coli or enterococcus. The reason why ground shouldn't be treated as stakes? it touches grinder surface, naturally contaminating it during the multiple animal grinding process which created more bacteria. I'll make sure to report food poisoning if & when it happens. What this feels like to us is "have a nice day!!" Well you do you, & you too!
