Craving burgers and and everything was literally closed so we decided to grab five guys and we made it at the very last minute, like 7 minutes before 2200 and they still let us order and they weren't even mad about it, they were very friendly and nice and helpful, i don't know there names but there was 3 guys working and 2 girls and they literally made our nights, thank you guys today is (October 4, 2020). I definitely appreciate you all and the love you guys have for your job and hope your manager gives you all high praises. Our food was delicious, and our shakes and lemonade was fresh. The fries are always to die for, i love there Cajun fries There burgers are so fresh. I really wanted to like this place. However, on my recent visit, the staff seemed to be falling apart. Granted it was the "buy one get one" day and they were very busy, but the shortfall with the staff seemed to be a training issue. There was only one person, the manager, who could run the fryers, cook the burgers on the flattop, and hand out orders to the customers. They had 3-4 other employees just setting up buns with toppings and then standing and waiting for the burgers. The fries were getting way behind the orders because they only dropped one basket at a time in the fryer. I stood and watched the inefficiencies build up along with 20 of my other fellow patrons waiting on their orders. I had ordered ahead online and was giving a time to show up and get my order, however, I still waited at least 15-20 minutes past my show-up time for my order. I did not order fries, or even buns on my burgers, and I still couldn't get my order any faster. I inquired with two different employees and was told they were waiting on my fries which I didn't order. After all that chaos, my burger with fried mustard topping was just ok. I remember liking the burgers much more on previous visits to other Five Guys locations, but these were not too special and not worth the extensive wait and the chubby price. Manager (guy in black shirt) working closing on June 21st flipped me off behind my back while I walked out. I ordered at 9:40 and my food was done at 9:55 but when they called my order they had forgotten to make the shakes. Took about 4 minutes to make the shakes so I walked out at 9:59 My wife watched him flip me off 1 foot behind me as I walked out. When I got in the car she told me. Five Guys is fairly new to Utah and we definitely weren't raised on it. Yet, here I am, a HUGE fan. Things to love: The pricing is decent and you won't break the bank here. Plentiful portions (3 people can easily share a large fry) and all of the toppings you could possibly want on a burger. My friend is disabled. He cannot look up. He asked the menu to be read to him. The person behind the counter told him to just read it. So he had to order from memory. His order was over )20 for one person. You should have a menu that can be handed to the person. My friend asked to have his food brought to him. He can't carry things. He was told they don't do that. A customer brought him food after the staff asked him to. This is NOT how to treat another human. Plus the music sucks. You can't have a conversation. read more

What a joke! My husband went here after a long day of work, ordered a bacon cheeseburger, 1 little Cajun fry, and a reg soda! He paid a ridiculous $19.56! Not to mention the burger was way over cooked and dry! But when does it cost $20 for one person to have a freaking hamburger and fries! If the food was excellent I could possibly see $12-15 dollars but that's for excellence! If we went here with our four daughters, it would cost us over $120 FOR BUGERS AND FRIES! The food here is always super duper delicious. They cook the fries, in such a way, that makes them firm on the outside and soft in the middle. The service is on point! Five guys has an awesome app ordering platform and efficient pick up process. We have been several times in the last month or so. They are also offering limited seated indoor dining, if that is something you are looking for. As for the food, it's been great, as expected. I went to dinner with my friend (who happens to use a wheelchair and has disabilities) he asked to have the menu read to (he ordered before I got there) he was told it right up there and then asked for the food to be brought to table and was told we don't do that. I love 5 Guys! What's not to love? You step up to the counter and be the architect of your burger. You choose how many patties and which toppings you want, and they PILE them on. Of course they have all the typical condiments and toppings. But it doesn't stop there. Want grilled mushrooms? Jalapeños? A1 sauce? Hot sauce? BBQ sauce? Green peppers? Get 'em all...but be warned - you may end up wearing it. Why is the food so good? The beef is ground fresh each day. What a difference that makes! The thick cut fries didn't come off of a Cisco truck in a frozen brown bag. They slice the potatoes right in front of you - fresh. You wait a little longer for your food because...well...reread this paragraph. The burger and fries are pricier because...yeah...you just read that as well. Remember what grandpa used to always tell you - "you get what you pay for." If you have kids with peanut allergies, be wary. As soon as you walk in the door, you can scoop up a container full of peanuts to munch on while waiting for your food. I love that! I've read some negative reviews regarding the staff at this location. I live just a few minutes away and come here quite often, and have never had any issues. I paid $15 for a "large" shake. I find it odd that after years of being in business. They won't offer a second size on shakes. The managers won't work with you to get you a large shake. Like charge me for 2 shakes and just put it in the damn large cup. You know, simple customer service. I had to buy 2 shakes, and then the girl at the counter charged me for a LARGE soda CUP, just so I could use the cup to put both shakes into. Then I was told I couldn't drink any soda using the large cup, even though it was empty and I paid for it. If I pay for 3 drinks. I should be allowed to have 3 drinks and then use the cups as I please. Since I spent money for it. read more

First time they made my wife's burger twice so I didn't get the toppings I wanted or the bacon I paid for :( Second time they put bbq sauce on my wife's burger. The food is great. We've always enjoyed it. However, the "background" music in the restaurant (Layton, UT) is ear-bleeding loud. It's hard to place your order over the noise, and conversing with others while dining is pretty much impossible. This issue is common in some restaurants, but it's especially bad at this one. I went into the store and the music was pretty loud and I am hard of hearing..... I want to place my order and did not understand what the order taker were saying. We ordered Five Guys from this Layton location through Door Dash. When we received our order it was the wrong order. The bag had a receipt with my name and a complete list of what I ordered taped to it but the order was wrong. I called Five Guys and they pushed the blame on the Door Dashers even though the receipt on the bag was mine. They proceeded to tell me they couldn't help me regardless and that I had to go through Door Dash, which I did to get my money back. Now, my order was $91 ($14 was a tip) and they refunded only $51. My gripe is with Five Guys because they just weren't willing to help resolve the issue that they messed up and they were too quick to blame the Door Dasher. What's the point of making an online order with ASAP scheduling if I have to show up to the store and wait 15 minutes for them to make it? All three times that I've come here they've gotten the order wrong and didn't start making the food until I came up to the counter to pick it up. My fondness for this chain is fairly well pronounced, but I hadn't yet made it to this location, nestled in the zoo of a parking lot on the North side of Antelope Dr., East of the freeway. Inside was fairly clean and this time out, staff was hit or miss. This was not one of the better renditions I've had, burner was definitely overdone and the sauce was far too much into the lower side. It was also very, nearly agonizingly, slow to get out. Place was steady but not exactly busier...definitely had better at other locations when it was (far) busier. Not especially impressive and probably not worth the fight to get into, either. Solid, more or less, but unspectacular. If you want to order it my way, choose either single or double patty, add cheese, bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, A-1 sauce and get thee face full. Sometimes I will also add green peppers and less frequently a little splash of lettuce, but that's more of an option; the other toppings are standard. read more

LAYTON, UT: This location is clean, convenient, and a little slow to serve the burgers. Plan on waiting at least 10 minutes, even when they are slow. Ordering with A1 may not be a first idea of most people, but I find it to be a welcome departure from the usual and delicious. The Cajun fries are a must. read more
