My husband watched me eat lunch today at a Chinese restaurant. Chinese food isn't his idea of a good meal so I enjoyed my last lunch in Utah first. He saw In n Out on our way to Target so of course we had to make our way in. He finally found something that sounded good to him. I really wish I can remember the gal's name who helped us. She was so sweet! She greeted us with the best smile. She helped my husband with his order. He's picky and didn't want all the extras on his double double, he's a simple kind of guy. We got all checked out and chilled in the dining area. It's so weird sitting inside this venue. It's so chill and cool. Our In n Outs back in Idaho are pure choas. It was nice to be able to find a clean table right away. We didn't have to stare awkwardly at guests to see if they are almost done eating. It was truly a refreshing experience. My husband polished off his double double. It was perfectly made. The fries were a little cold but he didn't mind. He enjoyed the main attraction. I asked him if Utah's In n Out tasted different from Idaho's. "It tasted the same". I think that's a great thing! Gotta love consistency. My husband had one last great lunch in Utah before we hit the highway to head home. Thank you to the sweet gal for helping us. I give In-N-Out burger a 7/10 The burger was a solid 8, there was plenty of veggies, and sauce, with a good taste, but the patties were small like Culver's and the buns were mediocre, and began flaking up on top and soaking in the grease. The fries were a 4/10, small and tasteless and not much salt, I give at least a 4 because they skin fresh whole taters and smash them fresh into fries, so that's cool! Drinks: The fountain drinks were normal like every other place, so I don't knock them there, trust me I've had bad drink experiences. One time at a Hardee's I had bugs coming out of the water in the fountain soda machine. Drinks are 7/10 Sauce: Oh and their fry sauce tasted amazing, solid 8/10 The service was very friendly and handled the busy crowd very well, it is just slow when busy. Our experience today was pretty flawless. We dined in. The place was very busy. The drive thru was lined around the building. There was a line inside. I know why so many people want to eat here- IT'S GOOD. The line moved quickly. We placed our orders and were given a number. We sat down and then prepared our drinks and in minutes our number was called. They had an ample number of employees working. Someone was sanitizing tables as patrons left. The restrooms were clean. The floors were clean. Our food was really good. The buns on the burgers were extremely fresh. The center of the buns were soft and the toasted outside was slightly crispy. Our orders were correct. Patty quality is good, wait time is insane a lot of the time.. I am going to be 100% honest regarding this is the 3rd time I have tried In-N-Out (but 1st time at this establishment). The two previous times I had my burger "animal style", which I did not like at all. So, I already had low expectations, but I decided to try it "regular". Honestly, I took a few bites and couldn't finish it. So the rating is based on me reacting to the food. But, my wife would tell you she would give it 4 or 5 stars. I will say this establishment was extremely busy when we were there, and there was sufficient staff and it was fairly clean. We would have actually have gone through the drive-thru, but the line was ridiculously long, and we saw an empty spot in car lot, so decided it would be faster to dine in (which was the correct choice). I like the In-N-Out. When this opened a few years back, I was ecstatic after trying it down in California and St. George. My favorite part is the simplicity of the menu. The options are limited helping to make quick decisions. There is a hidden menu that you can access as well. This location is efficient and gives reliable results. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's a popular location and there is always a line in the drive thru. The interior is clean and well maintained. I have been coming here for a year or more. Always though drove though which can be a 45+ min wait. But, it has always been great. I get a protein style burger cuz some reason the buns don't like my stomach and I think it takes better. I always got extra lettuce with my burger. I like having more wrapping and I can put a ton of spread on it. Something has now changed. My orders have not been right for the last 2 months. I have been here approximately 4-5 times in those 2 months. I have gotten tomatoes when I asked them to be removed and no extra lettuce and even light lettuce. Well today I got this burger (see picture) and it has been the worst yet. There is more paper than lettuce and I asked them to make sure it was made correctly. Today was the last straw.
