The owners are Colombian and Venezuelan, and know their cooking well. This is as authentic as you can get for Colombian and Venezuelan cuisine. This time I ordered the small mondongo soup with rice. What is Mondongo? Beef stomach lining, Spanish might call it callos, British would call it Tripe, Mexicans might call it menudo. Same ingredient but much lighter and flavorful. Very satisfying when the days are cold. The tequeños are the Venezuelan version of fried mozzarela sticks, some claim them as the "entry drug" to Venezuelan cuisine. I think they have a point. A sign the food is authentic- look around at the other restaurant patrons.
